People who had a problem with Kaidan in ME1 combat just didn't level him up properly. He's one of the best sqaddies to have in your team and saved Shepard's ass more often than not.

See Sesheta thats why I liked Garrus, Garrus and Wrex is who I ran with a lot, but never got the Krogan Ally, I actually didnt dislike Kaidan till I went for the Sential Ally. But on my Female playthrough I can't remember what class she was but I ran with Ash and Garrus most.

Well, I had Kaidan and Liara with my Vanguard in my insanity playthrough and believe it Kaidan and Liara kicked hell out of the hostiles...actually sometimes I got frustrated, because the didn't leave an hostile for me

I remember how proud I was of him during the last level in ME1 where all my Biotics were cooling and he just lifted that Krogan Battlemaster to prevent any harm coming to my Shepard

Yeah I pretty much had Kaidan with me in every one of my too numerous to count playthroughs of ME1, lol. I played every class in ME1 but generally stick with being an adept. I know there was at least one mission where I barely had time to fire a shot before Kaidan had everyone neutralised. I tended to use either Garrus or Wrex with him, never really used Liara, Tali, or Ash very much at all, didn't need to, lol.

I usually always had both Kaidan and Garrus with my Shepards in ME1 regardless of class.

Not sure how long the poll will be running but win or lose, it's nice to see that Kaidan made it into the finals. It's a notable accomplishment considering that there seems to be a lot of anti-K sentiment out there. One thing I do know is that in my version of ME3, Mr. Alenko will have a major role in how it plays out. Can't wait!

Well, I was lurking all the mass effect forums (*cough* especially this thread *cough*), but when I saw the image in the OP, I couldn't help but wonder where it came from. I admit, I signed up to ask (haha). I haven't played ME2 yet, but I didn't see a scene like that in ME1 (then again, I didn't know there was LI in my first play through; didn't know you could go below the first deck on the Normandy. Woops!). Yes, I'm late to the Mass Effect boat, but boy am I glad I joined! I'm planning on re-playing, if I can only figure out how to edit my last Shepard (I messed up a facial feature that bugged the heck out of me the entire last game xP).

Anyway, I searched on youtube, but I didn't see anything like it come up; Anyone know where the dance image in OP is from?

if it weren't completely childish, I'd have to make an ME2 playthrough and killing off Garrus deliberately during the SM, just to be all "LOL, Garrus died in my PT!!1!"

Welcome, Shepardette!

There is never such a thing as being 'too late for the Mass Effect board'  I myself was indoctrinated only a few short months ago and have been going full-throttle ever since. As for the image of Kaidan dancing up a storm, I believe that might have been a mod of some sort. I did a right-click on the animation and saw that it was uploaded to photobucket by "Silentkyrie" so you may want to send Sk a private message to see where it might have come from.  As far as editing your last Shepard's facial features, I believe that one you leave the character generation process in ME1 you can't make any changes until you begin ME2 when you have the ability to change facial features again via the Lazarus Project. Of course, there may be a mod out there that might allow you to make changes during the game but if there is one, I'm not aware of it.

Sorry I wasn't more of a help but hopefully that may start you off in the right direction. Once again, welcome aboard!

I sent Thane, and he died.  And I was all "No, he's so sweet, he can't die." 

So I reloaded and sent Tali.  She died.  Then I was all "Oh, but I heard she's going to be a squadmate in ME3, she can't die." 

So I reloaded and sent Mordin.  He died.  Then I was all "Nooo, he's so hilarious, what if he's in ME3 and I miss his jokes!" 

So in desperation my husband turned to the internet and researched and we ultimately found the "No One Left Behind" guide on biowarefans.com.  I sent Legion and he lived

The strange thing is that apparently who you have leading the second fire team (and how loyal they are) will determine if the vent specialist lives or dies. Gameinformer did a nice flowchart that pretty much describes how to do a perfect endmission. For the sake of not spoiling it for players who haven't reached the endgame yet (or those who have played it but don't want to know) I won't list the walkthrough here. If you do want to know, just send me a private message and I'll tell ya.

Well I just recently started ME1 once more and my goal is to have all 4 sheps ready for ME3.

Lyn/Kai paring.
Ellen going to go single then romance Kai in 3.

The other 2 are with Liara each with ash or kai alive so I can see differences in playstyle and content for 3. I wish I could save both.

So far my Shep with Ash still alive is ready to go for 3. In some ways I missed causing throwup inducing destruction in the Mako. Muahahaha! Seat belts!

Noooooooo, not Mordin.  I love that dude, he's one of my favorite ME2 squaddies.

I sent him with the Normandy crew survivors. He has too much of a glass jaw to "hold the line". *strokes chin* I think I'm gonna do a Shepard/Thane/Mordin teamup in my next PT, Shepard/Thane/Garrus is getting a little overused.

I always send Mordin back with the crew survivors as well, just in case they need a doctor. My team for the SM is pretty much always Miranda and Thane. The collectors don't stand a chance with the 3 of us warping their asses.  I really miss having Kaidan with me on the SM.
