I'm glad they haven't completely forgotten Kaidan exists. And that he has fans.

Ashley looks like she's shopping with Miranda these days.

on a side note I tweeted Dark Horse Comics asking if we could get the image in better quality - before the book is released (already implying it's a spread from the book because I'm sneeeaaaaky like that)

Good good! I tweeted David Silverman begging him to give us HQ version of this pic. I mean, they've already showed it at NYCC panel and it's largely old material so maybe they won't consider super-spoiler? :( Really hope we can get it in HQ!
Anyway, page needs more Kaidan

Should be eariler than that, I'm almost sure it will be debuted at the VGAs, which always take place early-to-mid December.

I also tweeted Casey about it, hoping that the twitter magic will work in my favour again ;)

Hope everyone likes it... I'm not the best at drawing - This is how I think the first few seconds on the normandy are going to be in ME3, if-you-know-what-I-mean B)

*snip*

Wow! You did that in MS Paint? I can barely draw a circle even with the special tool they provide. Great work. I love it.

Thank you! :3

@Bekkel

Thank you too!

And since my fanart was liked I post some random awesomeness of Kaidan to celebrate! :wizard:

I'm waiting for my vacation time accrual at work to reset for 2012 so I can put in for ME3's release day as well as the day after. Shouldn't be a problem since Tuesdays and Wednesdays aren't very popular for vacation requests.

ME3 will pose quite a challenge for me. Part of me wants to savor every moment of the story while the other part will be screaming, "WHEN DO I STRIP KAIDAN AND TIE HIM TO THE BED?"

*ahem*

Sorry, got carried away there.

Five more months...five more months...five more months...

That's my biggest fear that'll I rush the game just to romance Kaidan, happened in DA2. *sigh* I'm getting the guide so I can check things such as if I accidently kill him or something. I know it'll ruin it for me but he ain't doing an Alistair on me. *shakes fist at Bioware* I was so angry/sad when that happened :crying:

I handed in my holiday form but no yes yet, might do another one just to annoy them. They know of my addiction

Kaidan in his new armor!?!?!? osrry for the fuzziness it's all I could find

What could Ash possibly do wearing an outfit like that? Work her corner? The skirt is really mini  :D

LOL, Ok you made me laugh with that, but I think it's a jacket and some really tight pants. C'mon though, all that space stuff in ME is tight...It's like the fashion. Just check out Liara's dress in that SB DLC. I thought she was like gonna bust out of it. I was kinda hoping for that to happen but...*sigh* disappointment continues to strike.

I like that retro 60's sci fi look myself and love seeing her hair down. They have already said that you will have a bun/armor change as well ... so everyone should be happy.

Now Kaidan's armor for me is too big & clunky. I'm hoping that they will give us a lighter version for him as well. I'm not a fan of big armor myself since I'd like to think in the future combat attire would be lighter and better for mobility.

By 2183 you would think that combat attire would be less not more, like the bullet proof vests.

Bullet proof vests ...

Me too! I just can't help but look at my femShep all suited in that heavy armor and think ....

Nothing is getting through, but she isn't moving fast either!

And if Kaidan or Ash is going to be in front of my Shepard ... I'd much prefer to see them in lighter armor (ME1) than GoW outfits! Choices Bioware! You can go 60's retro sci fi or GoW heavy.

More info from Thargorichiban from the Twitter thread who was present at the panel:

What about Kaidan? Do the small Kaidans in top right corner (with white stripe on the knees) showed him in another different armor or was it a more casual look, some equivalent of Ashley's jacket-outfit?

That alternate look for Kaidan seemed to be a casual look at first glance.

I would like to hope things are are sophisticated enough in the future that I can move and not get shot. Both things are quite useful abilities to have when a person wants to actually get something done instead of dying.

And Jersey Kaidan does not have my approval. I want my normal Kaidan back for ME3!

It's too bad that they didn't use a bigger picture of him in his casual outfit next to Ash in hers. It would have been nice to see what he will be roaming around the Normandy in.

Well, presentation-wise it would look worse to put them in the same armour next to each other so I get why would they want to mix it up, looks better and more diverse. But yeah, really want to see Kai's jacket/casual look! :D

I am having a problem now in my home. I have talked up the wonders of Mass Effect so much that my hubby started playing it a couple months ago and loves it. Now, my 14 year old son is also into it, and I'm still working on finishing a couple characters. So, we have a tug of war with the ME2 discs and who gets to play when. :pinched: I would just get my son his own copy, but that still leaves me fighting hubby over game time on our shared xbox. <_< At least I can come post here when he finally manages to boot me off.  I get my revenge by backseat driving during all his missions. :innocent:

Oh noooooo! Fight dirty Bekkael!
I'm a terrible backseat driver during video games...

ME3 comes out during my Spring Break, so I have an entire week of no obligations in which to play it.  ::dances::  They did the same thing for Dragon Age 2.  That first weekend in March is a great release date choice. :D

For me, ME3's release is during my college's Spring Break, but not my high school's. So I'll have an extra three hours in the morning before school to play!

Whenever someone else is playing a video game and I'm around, I always have to preoccupy myself with something else, or I'll be a backseat gamer, too. It's just painful for me to watch people make the obviously wrong choices in games and not correct them.

I just get really, really, reaaally sleepy and bored when I watch someone else play a game.

EDIT

But then it depends on the person who's playing too. Sometimes I'll bug the crap out of them just because. Posted Image

I have to leave the room or else they are screwed. And I am not gentle. I tell them like it is and they better listen or I will loose my sh** on them . . . okay maybe I am not that bad but they know when I am watching or listening. But it turns out better in the end because they don't suck as much anymore.

Raaaaagh! Seeing that picture really jump-started my art abilities again so I've been working on sketching Kaidan in the heavy armor (I kind of like it-- looks like it's durable XD) but oh man, I am totally with you guys for wanting a HQ version of that concept art picture. I've already pre-ordered Mass Effect Universe (not just because I like art books, but it's Mass Effect!)

I cant watch people play video games either, I think its boring and it makes me want to take the controller away from them.

Im really worried about the ME release date, I think my family wants to go to Disney World that week. I HAVE to get it at the midnight release but it would suck to have it and not be able to play until I got home. Sadface.

I don't watch people play video games, that's so boring IMO. If I'm in the same room while they're playing video games on the TV, I'll be using my DS or my e-reader.

However, I HATE having people watch me play video games. When I was younger, my sister and I would go to stay with our dad for a few days, and I'd spend all that time in my room playing the SNES. But my sister and I had to share a room, and she would lay on her bed and watch me the entire time, laughing every time I died or whatever. Now that I'm older, I shoo my husband away whenever I'm playing anything because he likes to make fun of the dialogue choices I pick or the characters I like.

Family I tell ya. Sometimes you just want to smack them.

EDIT: Of course I got ToP....
