I don't watch people play video games, that's so boring IMO. If I'm in the same room while they're playing video games on the TV, I'll be using my DS or my e-reader.

However, I HATE having people watch me play video games. When I was younger, my sister and I would go to stay with our dad for a few days, and I'd spend all that time in my room playing the SNES. But my sister and I had to share a room, and she would lay on her bed and watch me the entire time, laughing every time I died or whatever. Now that I'm older, I shoo my husband away whenever I'm playing anything because he likes to make fun of the dialogue choices I pick or the characters I like.

Family I tell ya. Sometimes you just want to smack them.

*snip* By Graceyn

My boyfriend does that too. He always jokingly threatens to kill Dogmeat, rolls his eyes about Kaidan, laughs when I die, etc. And I do smack him. All in good fun! :D
We like to watch each other play video games though. Well, except I don't watch him play his beloved RTS games.  But with normal action or RPG, etc. games, we lay in bed and mutually make fun of each other and are guilty of backseat gaming. That's part of the fun I guess. ^_^

I seriously can't wait for this game anymore! I have actually put in holiday at work so I can play all weekend. *fingers crossed* that I'll get's it off.

ME3 comes out during my Spring Break, so I have an entire week of no obligations in which to play it.  ::dances::  They did the same thing for Dragon Age 2.  That first weekend in March is a great release date choice. :D

Just so you know, I'm jealous of all of you who are taking time off.  :kissing:  Tuesday is my late day at job 1, and Wednesday is my looong day consisting of job 1, long day at job 2, lucky to choke down some dinner before 10 p.m.  You all had better post some tidbits or, even better, screencaps.  Or...or...I'll have to suck it up.  :P

We can still get snow in March, right?

You can get snow in March if you
a) Wear your PJs inside out
B) Flush 10 ice cubes down the toilet at exactly 9 o'clock PM (21 hours in Military Time)
c) Place a glass of water under your bed
d) Place exactly one ice cube on the mat in front of your front door
e) Turn your sprinklers on the day before you want snow
f) Hose your boss' car the night prior, as long as the weather is under 32 degrees F (0 degrees C)

I've heard all the Old Wives' tales... The last seems the most effective, though.

Ha ha ha, where I live we can still get snow in March, living so near a Great Lake.

I have never heard any of those before. Who was coming up with these? And who thought they were working?

I learned them in 9th grade, I believe. And, in case you're wondering, I've found the PJs usually get the best results :D

We get snow in March too. We even had a huge snow in April last year or the year before.

In school we always said, wear your pajamas inside out and flush the toilet at midnight! Never heard all the others, except the driveway one too, but it was superintendent in our case.

And for some reason, I was thinking March 6th fell on a Friday. So I won't be working, but I'll have school. :o Unless it's Spring Break, but I don't know..... hmmm.

Edit: It is not Spring Break but the last week of classes/week before exams. :o:oI am going to have to avoid the internet for WEEKS.

Want some of my snow?

You poor people that don't have snow. Such lives do you have that you cannot have a romantic tussle in the snow and a passionate snowball fight with your significant others.

I also like the rain too 8)

Somewhere around sixty years here. But then, Florida's just another place to me; my home 'town' is New York City. :P

I love both, too. Though the rain gets old, but I don't live in the Rainy City for nothing =]
Edit: Wait, Seattle's called the Emerald City, isn't it? Or is it still the Rainy City?

Snowball fights with your significant other? Shenko fluff fanfiction Noveria snowball fight idea coming on...

I thought of moving over there. Not much for CA and the people.. live in a town where it takes 5 minutes to drive across town... (and still manage to hit the 2 lights). But would love all the trees. Don't know if I could handle the rain. Still like the sun.

And by all means for the fanfiction. However, if I recall, it was a horrible death storm outside when you landed in Noveria. Don't kill off characters now!

I love snow too. Actually having a winter is one reason I'm enjoying living in the north.

As to time off when the game comes out...my family is well used to me entering the gaming cave and not exiting for a few days. =D

It actually snowed one evening here in Tucson, AZ about 4-5 years ago. And it was all gone by 10am the next morning.

ETA: A picture from the next morning. You can see that that snow stayed up on the mountains.

Hey, Tucson. I went through there recently. Anyway, yeah, doesn't surprise me that it was gone so quickly, heh.

Not to sound rude or ignorant... but it is common thought up here that if it snows in Texas, the entire state shuts done. That is just a figure of speech right?

Nothing like hearing that and you are out at 5:30 in the morning moving 3 feet of snow off your driveway to get to work ha

It didn't really last long enough to affect anything.

However, I will say that this town can shut down if there is heavy rainfall. Stupid basin... <_<

I visited a friend down in South-Eastern Washington last year in January (SE WA is pretty much a desert). They got 4 inches of snow, and school was cancelled. I was just thinking, "Really?" In Seattle, it usually takes a foot for things to slow down. But hey, I spent a few years of my childhood living in Montana. 3 feet of snow? Normal day!

It's almost funny to think of how each different region reacts to some frozen water.

I love rain but it makes me slip into a pseudo coma. It makes me soo tired. I have missed class because I just kept sleeping for over 13 hours.

And snow is fantastic. Especially packing snow. All the street kids once made a snow ball larger than a car.

I would very much miss my four seasons if I lived somewhere with out them. :crying:

It's not snow that's a problem in TX, but ice. When I lived and worked in Dallas years ago, I called in when we had an ice storm one November. Nobody can drive on the stuff, and many cars wrecked up or wound up in the ditch. It's not like the north where they have plows and salt trucks and are ready to deal with it. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, oh boy! Quite a mess.

Yeah, there are places that if it starts to flurry or stick they send everyone home. Everything just stops and shuts down.
