Actually, it's meant to be Kaidan watching a vid mail sent in reply to the post-Horizon letter. You can read Jho's explanation here.

Because it makes him sound like a kewl l33t broham gamer, and that is important when you want to be considered amongst other kewl l33t broham gamers.  In other words, pandering to 12 year-olds and the images they uphold as ideal (DAT ASS and arghROIDRAGE), and being completely void of content or credibility.  To be honest though, "Meanwhile, Kaidan continues to be -- well, Kaidan." is the least annoying thing in the opinion piece. 

But, let's think happy thoughts.  Happy Kaidan thoughts.

Charlie's an adept...and both Kai and Liara are biotic.....and sweet natured, caring.....good fighters....

I'm totally torn..... I dunno what to do

I think you're asking the wrong topic I'd say Kaidan, but that's a no brainer. I've never romanced Liara (S/S just isn't my thing, even if Liara's technically "monogendered") so I can't comment on that, I guess.

Same. I'm not that great of a roleplayer that I can play a different orientation than my own. Although, I enjoyed watching my hubby finish his playthrough yesterday when he romanced Miranda.

EDIT: I just found a video on youtube that totally sums up my naughty, cheating renegade playthrough. (I love the song!)

Kaidan in a beret is.... As long as they don't release DLC that has him in shades. I really disliked that about the ME2 alternate appearance DLCs. I like to see the character's pretty pixel eyes, ya know?
