Logically, Kaidan.  He's not only biotic and very good at tossing Armatures, but he's also tech and medic.  He can do all sorts of nifty things like help with decryption and electronics, without the need to carry along Tali or Garrus. He's a dedicated Marine, and has a good head on his shoulders.  He looks much better in the armors, if you're into that sort of thing.

I just accidentally erased my canon ME2 file. I don't even...

I'm tempted to take the oppurtunity to just go back and restart from ME1 with her so I can go through the Kaidan romance again and also write down her choices. I didn't start playing Mass Effect until this past June but I can't really remember them all and I have her personality more defined now than I did when I started her first run.  But mostly because I miss Kaidan.

And Kaidan in a beret. Huh. I thought that's what it was but assumed I was just seeing things... it's odd but I'll take it.  I think as far as new info goes the bits that would make me happiest are vanguard powers and high quality pictures of Ash and Kaidan in both casual uniform and armour.

Charlie's earthborn... and while family fascinates her, those leave it to beaver cozy settings make her nauseaous as well...growing up a drinking/smoking/gambling conartist didn't exactly endear her to the domestic lifestyle...

That's a good idea, really. I'm still too lazy to go back and try to figure out which of my Shepards chose what. I just figure it will be a little surprise every time I import a different character.

The only family I remember Kaidan ever mentioning was his father and a cousin, so I have no idea about sibings. I always imagined Erin being somewhat intimidated if/when she met the family. She's earthborn so she has little idea how to interact with people in that kind of setting and would find it hard to relate to them especially since her day to day life the past few years, what with the reapers and the Lazarus Project and all, hasn't been something people not involved could fathom, that is if it isn't classified to begin with. She'd just stay quiet (very unusual for her) and follow Kaidan's lead which would end with much teasing that she has no problems facing mercenaries, thorians, reapers, or whatever but she's scared of family.

That is long and rambling which means I should get some sleep.

@ Bekkael -hugs- That's what I get for messing around with the CC then trying to clean out the extra Sheps I made in the middle of the night.  At least I have until March to fix it.

I personally stayed with him on the first playthrough because that picture on Shep's desk made me all squishy inside.  I didn't even consider the other possibilities that time around.  Since then I've tried the Garrus and Thane romances, but can't bring myself to do the Jacob one because I can't get past Shep's sexual-harrassment-lawsuit-waiting-to-happen voice.  Makes me cringe and reload my game.  But with how the other romances are done, I have to say that staying faithful to an LI that is little more than a picture and an e-mail in ME2 is the best, most romantic route.

I'm probably going to have to do as many of you have done to get an unromanced Shep - just load Genesis.  No way I can get through ME1 without falling for Kaidan yet again.

 That's awful..... I just went to replay my canon Shepard and didn't get the import option.... It seems when I moved all my files the other week, the post game auto saves didn't transfer, so I have to redo the Saren fight over and over and over to get all my imports back  But I'd rather do that than lose my 'Riot', poor you....

I had trouble getting past Shep's voice, but once I did the romance, I liked it, and she calms down a bit 
My canon Shepard has cheated on first run through (to see what happens) with Thane... But on all other saves, she and the other Shepards are faithful... My Jacob romance was via a genesis created single Shepard and I have one on PS3 and one on 360

Seems to me like the chest is the same/simiar to the standard armor, but everything else is different. Really hope this is his second look and not an unused concept, I want my Kaidan in cap!

I'm probably naive but, honestly? My first thouhts about Horizon/staying faithful:

"Hmm Kaidan yelled at me... Ah! I bet this is part of the romance subplot! ME is a trilogy, so this is a temporary break-up and in 3 we get the conclusion! How cool! I don't like romances were everything works out anyway! Good idea Bioware!"

...Im probably too much of a positive person. 

but after that it did not once occur to me that I could/should romance anyone else. Not even Thane aroused my interest.
