Confirmed! Singleplayer portion of the demo will be available for everyone from day 1 and the demo will be released in January. The Early Access pass is only for MP. And since it's basically guaranteed the demo will have the opening section (Earth), that means we get EARLY ACCESS TO KAIDAN IN JANUARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :DDDDDD

P.S.  I woudln't blame the lukewarm reception of certain character on their being human alone.  aliens might get a bit more of a leeway, but ...  not everyone likes everyone.  there are quite a few people who dislike"established"  favorites like Garrus and Tali.

Too often I've seen "boring human" when people talk about ME characters, especially LIs. But there's really nothing about them that's boring, except that they're human.  If Garrus, for example, were human, people would say he was a whiner with daddy issues. But since he's a Turian, that automatically makes him AWESOME! (Not bashing Garrus, I always use him in both ME1 and ME2)

LOL, I have to agree with said person.  The closest ANYONE got to whining was Liara if you waited until after Virmire to recruit her, she's like "I've been everywhere trying to get information on the Protheans and you come along and everything falls into your lap! All those years of research wasted, it's not fair!" 

The fact that people say Kaidan whines about his headaches makes me laugh, Dr. Chakwas is the one who tells you about why he gets headaches, and he'll only bring them up to mShep/non-romanced fShep ONCE, saying "Sorry, having a headache due to a flare-up." If stating that something hurts makes you a whiner, I'm the whiniest person in the world.

hahaha. Well, a person submits their confession and then another person takes that submission and puts it on a picture. Who knows why they chose that one?


I don't know. Maybe people expect all video game characters to be stoic Mary Sues. Or they just think that everyone is a whiner except for themselves. "Kaidan complains about headaches and I NEVER complain. He's whiny." when in actuality they probably "whine" the same amount.

By the way, Anderson says that "Alenko didn't prove that Collectors stand behind attack" - he might be lying to Shepard, of course. But then there's Kaidan's letter and he might at least ensure Shepard that "we found proof and doing something about this" - anything to erase impression that Cerberus is the only organisation doing something. If the letter wasn't edited. But two coincidences are too many even for my paranoia.

Another thing if Council played deaf again - "You have person who witnessed battle but he's L2 / too close to Shepard / was tricked by Cerberus / was in stasis for majority of time, so we dismiss this claim", so Alliance started playing on their own. Possibly Hackett was the person who sent ships, possibly Anderson and Alenko were also involved.

OOOOOOOOO!!! Never knew that before! (also never seen the point of playing Arriva before the SM)

I would of never of gotten that dialouge had I not played Arrival before SM. Though it is kinda cool to know that Allience started to do things. I always wondered why Hackett sent Shep out for Arrival. Maybe the Council said ok drop it! We are sick of all this nonsense about Repears and now Shep is manipulating you. Well Shep has no connection to Allience at that time so Hackett could send Shep in without going against Council rules. They can't send Kaidan cause he is Allience and still under Council control. Plus Anderson said that Kaidan proved it was the collectors behind abductions but found no evidence of Repears.

Man I am always late to the party and respond to something from like 5 pages back.  I guess that is what happens when I check this fast moving thread once a day before I go to sleep! But about the cheating thing, I did cheat on my first playthrough, but it was with a romanced Liara so it doesn't really count right?  And in my defense, it is only because I am an achievement wh***!  But that Shep no longer exists and I cheated on Kaidan purely to satisfy my curiosity. I felt really bad for doing so. But all the rest stayed faithful.

And about the demo, I am so excited because I was wondering if they were going to do that. I never played the ME2 demo so I don't know what the options are, so how will that work? Assuming it is the earth demo, what if they just automatically have Ashley there, since you know, no one saved Kaidan right? (sarcasm) Sorry if this post sounds weird, maybe I shouldn't type when sleepy ( it apparently makes me go crazy with smiley guys)

Could do what a new ME2 game does.
MaleShep gets Ash by default and FemShep gets Kaidan. Unless they'll have an import feature but I don't know

It sucks how DudeShep really doesn't get as much conversation with Kaidan

ex. After Eden Prime, a FemShep can speak with both Ash and Kaidan. DudeShep can only speak with Ash. Kaidan will just be standing out by his console and say "Glad to see you're ok Commander!"

honestly, I've been getting this impression for a while now that they pretty much assumed that the only people saving Kaidan on Virmire, would be femshep players that romanced him.   :/

Wait until they announce who will and will not be the same sex romances and then again in March, with the "OMG OMG OMG! Guys! Guys! Kaidan did/said *insert awesomeness*!!"

Yeah, I remember the Anders thread... it would jump 30 pages while I was at work. I finally gave up. I just pray to god Kaidan won't blow anything up...
