I'm conflicted, should Kaidan suddenly become popular. On the one hand, I want everyone to realize how amazing Kaidan is and come and gush over him with us, and on the other hand, I don't want to share him with people who didn't recognize it from the very first game. Isn't that ridiculous?? Undoubtedly I could use some sort of therapy.

Anyway...  more people liking Kaidan is good.  As long as they don't make him a dudebro along the way.  That's my fear, that they will go overboard making him badass.  Badass is good, bombastic is not.

You got a point.  Hopefully people won't say "why wasn't he like this in the first game" or other such rubbish.  Even if they do, we can all sit back and say "he was, you didn't pay attention".  Unless they change him in the wrong way.

I am the most original forum poster, EVAR. 

My son and my daughter's BF are straight and they both save Kaidan, daughter's BF played one femshep and romanced him  They are both completely comfortable in their skin though, so have no insecurities like a few heterosexual men on Virmire ;);)

if my husband ever decides to finish his ME1 playthrough, he's most certainly saving Kaidan. (my pragmatic dear found him more useful then Ash in combat - his team was basically Kaidan and Wrex, and he appreciated Kaidan's quiet, insightful nature ). but I just don't think Bioware expected cases like that. at least its what it felt like to me.

 Kaidan and Wrex are the best team!    Sorry to anyone else who prefers other teams, but I really think it's true.  Wrex has Fitness/Immunity, which Vanguard Shep doesn't get.  And Kaidan is wonderfully versatile.

I often play sentinel (it's my favourite) and tbh... for Saren... you can't go wrong with Kaidan and Liara it is stupidly easy.... I know this to be true, having just had to replay the Saren fight several times since my import feature was lost in a data transfer *disaster*
I love Wrex though I just find you can't always see past him

I was a late comer to mass effect well Bioware really. When i booted up ME1 for the first time I got so confused by the menu that I thought you could only play Sheploo! What a "newb" I was.

Anyway as soon as I saw Kaidan, even though I knew he was the only romance option (sadly I knew about virmire watching my bf play), I still went for him and wouldn't choose anyone else if there was a choice.

My team is usually Kaidan & Ash/Garrus.


Also watching an old epsiode of CSI got Raphael Sbarge in it again, he's just too sexy! *swoons*

My boyfriend saved Kaidan, but then again, he also wants to romance him in 3 And I think they learnt the most from DA2 & ME2 save game data they gathered. Before that, they obviously had lmany misconceptions what choices players make, what content is popular and what is not popular etc.

Ditto here! My brother is a Kaidan-saver, too. He is trained well. 

I wish my husband was a Kaidan saver.  He doesn't like Ashley, so I was like "That means you saved Kaidan on Virmire, right?" and he's like "Heck no."
