Man, I only know two people in real life who play Mass Effect. Or any BioWare games really, my best friend explained their attitudes well after I let her try out DA Origins. She said when she plays a game she just wants to play, if she wanted to read a story she'd grab a book. I'm kind of jealous since I don't really have anyone to fangirl over my games with.

Of the two I know that do like Mass Effect, both straight guys, I've never really talked about player choices just plot and game mechanics with one. The other plays as an infiltrator femShep (he always plays as girls when given the option in support of more female heroes in games) who saves Ashley because her combat skills. He never really talks to Kaidan so he's very "meh" about him as a character.

I've only saved Ashley once with a mShep who romanced Liara and I did it just to have an Ash play through. I love Ashley but even when I don't romance Kaidan it makes more sense to me to save him because of my play style and how I rp it.

Oooo, I was planning on checking that out, it looks interesting, but I didn't know he was going to be in it! Jennifer Morrison needs to go back to being a brunette IMO, the blonde is not flattering on her.

He wasn't a bad guy in Drop Dead Diva, which funny enough, also had Steve Valentine (Alistair) in an episode. His character was kind of a jerk

Final ME2 playthrough (like my 10th or 12th playthrough) my only romanced/stayed loyal to Kaidan. Yep. *serious face* Saved him on a couple of Maleshep playthroughs as well just to have an awesome guy in kickass armor next to me in ME3. Seriously his armor is teh sex.

I hope the final version of armor will be "screenshot" and CE AAPicture one instead of recently posted. Don't know why I like that shoulder pads so much... And, strangely, I prefer older face from "screenshot" over younger from "new old scan".

Hm, maybe they're not mutually exclusive? What if there's no "iconic armor" anymore and there's 4-5 versions for each squadmate so player can choose? Please please?

I only know a few people too. But they're definitely not huge fans. A friend of mine is, so we fangirl over Kaidan and Garrus slightly on Facebook...but not much.
My boyfriend hasn't played in so long that he "can't remember" a lot of the plot. So I haven't brought up the VS, just out of fear of spoiling things for him.
He's replaying it, but school has gotten in the way, so I still have no idea who he's going to save. He doesn't really like Ashley, is "meh" about Kaidan, and his favorite character is Wrex.

Anyway. If you can't fangirl with the people around you, that's what the internet is for!

I sure hope that's the case. I don't buy the lame-ass excuse of : "Well, you wouldn't be able to change their clothes or armor IRL, so why should you be allowed to in a game?" Grrrr. I also can't fly a spaceship IRL...and I LIKE having an inventory for crying out loud. More options = very good. /rant

That's the great part about the BSN. I can talk about my games with people who actually know and like what I'm talking about.  As it is my friend can name characters from games she's never played and I know the characters from One Tree Hill and a lot of their relationships with each other despite having never watched it.

Vertigo is awesome! Thank you so much.  As soon as I heard Sbarge say "Hi" the biggest, goofiest grin broke out on my face.    How awesome would it be if Kaidan laughed like that in ME3?

Good afternoon everyone; just thought I'd pop my nose in here and say hi.
While I'm not a Kaidan romancer per se, I've always been fond of his character. He strikes me as someone who'd be extraordinarily easy to get along with, if he existed in real life.
Besides, he's the one character who's almost always in my squad (during ME1, of course), no matter what class I happen to be playing at the time. It's fun watching him biotic-punt Krogan as if they were squeaky toys.
Be interesting to see how he turns out in ME3 (it's not even 2012, and I'm already jonesing over here, agh).

EDIT: Hocheez, my first post and I get ToP? HOW DIS HOPPEN? *scrambles*
