Raphael's blog said female. And you can't take it.
Well, then if that's true, I guess it's a shame they're changing characters so much. *Sigh* Just when you spend all that time getting to know them and then you finally think you know them...Anyway if Ash or any other returning character turns...I'll get over it, it won't take long. Truthfully, I'll be a little disapointed in BioWare that they're going the DA2 'Anders' route with ME3, but oh well. Still, when it comes down to it, I'm still gonna play. I imagine you are too, even if Kaidan isn't an S/S option.
Why don't you finish that thought, and explain how you think characters change, if their sexual orientation isn't what you perceived it to be? If Kaidan or Ashley are still written the same as they were in ME1, in every other way, but have new romance options, are they "ruined", even if you never, ever take that option?
I really wish we wouldn't have this discussion here until things are confirmed, but if you really need to bash bisexuality, you might as well get it over with, and stop dancing around it.
I very much support bisexuality with NEW characters. Can we just drop this whole thing already? I don't care enough to continue discussing this.

Why did you even come in this thread, specifically to talk about this topic, if you don't want to be questioned about what you're saying???
You think that Kaidan and Ashley will no longer be worthy of friendship and/or romance, if they are bisexual. Because they are immoral/flaky/promiscuous or whatever else you think will suddenly make them tainted. New characters can be avoided, or put in a box o' stereotypes immediately, but old characters who are suddenly bi will make you feel icky and gross, because you already mingled with them, and maybe you will catch the ghey if you get too close.
^^^ See what I just did there? I made a bunch of assumptions about you, based on very little information. Kind of like what you're doing to characters and a story you haven't experienced yet.

Shepard: "One for each babe."
But nothing would change if Kaidan (or any other old LI) would be bisexual. Did you talk with him about guys? No. So he never said to you "I'm not into guys". You don't know if he is or not.You don't know all about him. Did you talk to Miranda about hot girls? Neither. How can you think you 'know it all' about them if you never discusses some topics with them. You do know for sure Kaidan likes girls and Miranda likes boys because you talked about it with them. But you didn't talk about same-sex with them. You assumed what was their opinion on having a same-sex relationship. But an assumption is not a fact and if they happen to actually be bisexual, then the only thing you may dislike is that your assumption wasn't the correct one. Not that they changed, because you never knew how they were (regarding same-sex relationships) in the first place.MegaBadExample wrote...
They'll always be worthy of friendship, guess I dislike changes to a character you think you know is all.

Shepard: "Whatever you say sugar. Now pick up that datapad I dropped. And do it sexy like."

I will agree when you can provide me a quite in which Kaidan says he's exclusively attracted to females, or when you can provide me a scene in which he turns down advances from a maleMegaBadExample wrote...

Just so you know, absolutely noone believes this "I'm ok with gay/bi for new characters" as some sort of proof of not having a problem with homosexuality or bisexuality. I'm not going to call you a liar. It'd be rude.
And there's a small chance you ( and only you ) might believe it. But everybody else knows what's really going on.

IN THE GAME he wasn't bisexual before, so if he changes I'll still take that as a character 180. It'll change how *I* see Kaidan. Now can you stop bringing it up? I'm trying to let it die. It's pointless and is going nowhere because obviously nothing will change your opinion and nothing will change mine.
