Thanks for responding to answer that, Jen, I was making endless piles of toaster strudel to feed hungry kids. Hubby is out of town this weekend, and so are three of my older kids, so it's me, little people, and only one of my highschoolers to help me out. Plus, my youngest is running fever for unknown reasons. I'm going to need a vacation by Monday. :/

This makes quitting my addiction very small. I hope the little one gets better soon!

I just listened to the audio blog and is anyone else concerned that the ending doesn't sound very ... well ... happy?
I'm trying to avoid listening to the audio blog. I let myself find out spoilers for ME2, so not this time. I really should stop visiting this thread the closer we get to March. But as long as I avoid clicking on anything I might be fine.
They have already said there will be a very bad ending. Shepard loses, Reapers take over, etc. So you know there will be some kind of dying dialogue. But I'm counting on having a least a semi happy ending. DA:O and DA2 are more dark fantasy. Though ME can indeed be dark its not completely grim, dark and, gloomy. If ME was more like Dead Space I would be freaking out right now. Though everyone could die, its basically comes down to your choice. How well did you play the game? Did you go slow and pick up all the little hints the game gives you?
Look how easily you can survive the sudicide mission. The game basically holds your hand through the choices of who to send with what team. If your team was loyal, everyone survived, and you did pretty much everything in ME1 and 2 then I'm sure Shepard and Kaidan will easily see the ending.
The thing is it will become very redundant if they keep doing a 'look Kaidan could die!' thing. Looking at ME1 and 2 at a story line angle and not what could actually happen: Kaidan could have died on Virmire and he could have died on Horizon. If they set up another scenario where it looks like Kaidan could die, I'm going to start calling him Princess Peach, because Shepard keeps having to rescue him.
As long as we don't have to make Kaidan sleep with Miranda to get her preggers with a baby that has the soul of a Reaper, I'm good.

I'd do that over having to 'embrace eternity' with Liara and make little blue babies to save Kaidan's life.
Just sayin'.
And in KotOR1, you got a happy ending with Carth... until KotOR2 came out.

Thing that pissed me the most off about Kotor2. = / Meddling with my characters where I have absolutely no chance to control the story somehow...

Aw, thank you. I'm sure she'll be fine soon. In the meantime, she keeps begging to take more "sweet medicine" (liquid Motrin).
You guys are making me kinda glad that I never tried again to play KOTOR and KOTOR2 (buggy on xbox). If there is sadness I don't need it. I would be endlessly bummed if a happy ending got contradicted.

Ah man, that audioblog sounds depressing but I get chocked up with the citadel battle.
My theory is it may be due to Shep and Kaidan perhaps saying goodbye to each other before the last mission incase they don't make it? so the dialogues said regardless but you could get the good ending or bad ending. That's my take on it.
Oh Kaidan's message, I lovw Raphael so much more now, was AWESOMMEEEEE

I was so happy with the KotOR ending, then came KotOR2 (still havent played but knows about the Revan issue) I'm just not playing it, haha.
The KotOR games play much better on the PC. And, you know, mods!
And don't let the endings stop you from playing either of them, they're really great games.

So my son that has played both of them a dozen times keeps telling me. He's also currently playing Halo on my xbox. <_<
I will play them both through at some point, I'm sure, cause, ya know...BioWare. I'm just not ready to fall in love with another character at the moment. I want my ending with Kaidan first.

Yeah. Any Halo gaming going on is automatically not me. Also, hubby told me someone sent a request to join an xbox live chat when he was playing his Shepard the other day and he ignored it.

I support what Chylise said and her Atton avatar.
Thirded. I adore Atton, although he's technically not a romance option. And I will just do with ME3 what I did with KOTOR 2 if it does not supply me with the requisite happy ending: make it up for my character. The Exile and Atton ended up together, and I don't care what Obsidian, Bioware, LucasArts, or Drew Karpyshyn have to say about it. Nyah.

You should play it (with The Sith Lords Content Restoration Mod). It has much deeper, mature & complex plot than K1 and then some cool gameplay improvements (workbench, crafting etc). But the story & characters are the #1 reason to try it, it is easily one of the best Star Wars story ever told that can be rivaled only by TESB & Thrawn Trilogy and with one of the greatest Star Wars characters - Kreia. You're missing a lot.DevilYoko wrote...
I will never play KOTOR2 (at least for now;)). It's not BioWare game (it's not that I don't play in other games but KOTOR2 just don't fit me somehow) and Raven issue... Hell this is so stupid for me <_<

Chylise approves of these posts.
Although it will be nice if we actually get a happy ending in ME3. Please Bioware?

Thanks for the transcripts! @_@ yeah, I'm just wondering about that heart ripping bit....?
He was speaking about how emotional it was when he recorded the ending, and said for female players it will pretty much rip your heart out. I choose to believe that might be the bad ending, or else it's such an awesome, amazing good ending, that it touched him.

Thx for advice! I will play it eventualy becouse I'm really a huge game geek, but first I have to replay K1 (and fix my dvd-rom). And I want to finish ME trilogy first, and on the way I have few games to go through... So yeah... I just have to get used to the idea of playing K2 ;]
