Well a fever would suggest inflammation. Um, but having large amounts of metal in ones blood would be poisoning maybe? Or internal bleeding. It would most likely perforate organs and such. You know what it would be both probably.
But the name of the condition isn't what is really important.

the more art, the merrier, I say. I mean, you enjoy it, right? you do this for fun, yes? then why stop?
artists, epecialy good ones tend to be overly self critical. fight your inner troll, FIGHT IT! and then keep drawing
(I know its easy for me to say, my inner troll has been sitting on its laurels and inviting friends over for a party, but... do as I say, not as I do

Personally, I'd recommend researching radiation or heavy metal poisoning, since those both seem like things that could be linked to overexposure to Element Zero. (By that I mean the symptoms, not the conditions themselves. Just a thought.)
Mind you, one could still call it 'Eezo Fever'; that's the benefit of intergalactic jargon.

hahaha. Kaidan and Garrus and I were chilling on the beach on Virmire, so I wondered what part of Virmire you were on.
No problem! That's all I could find by google searches like "Mass Effect cold hazard/ice/snowy planets"
I don't really remember planets by name that well except for main quest planets. So I couldn't tell you if Mavigon or Xawin are actually snowy or just cold/icy.

Not sure if it's considered a metal. From the eezo wiki:Cypher0020 wrote...

If a child is exposed to dust-form element zero in utero, due to its mutagenic
effects, there is a small chance they can develop eezo nodules
throughout their nervous system that react to electrical stimuli from
the brain. masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Eezo
Therefore the energy of a nerve impulse can trigger eezo's reaction of releasing dark energy, which can then be used for mass effect fields. From bio-amp entry:
Bio-amps[/b] allow biotics to synchronize the nodules so they can form fields large and strong enough for practical use. masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Bio-amps

I think you need 10, so you should be ok. And the wiki says 10, too. And make sure you choose "What happened?" from the dialogue wheel, I think it's either the left side option or the middle right option, if you don't you won't be able to use charm and Toombs will end up dead one way or another. That's the part I always mess up.

I am unable to find anything that specifically states it is a metal but it is strongly implied. It is an element, you can mine it in ME2, and it is conductive of electricity. And a human brain emits electrical implulses, so that fits as far as a human manipulating it with their mind. But this all just what makes sense to me.
From the wiki . . .
"Element zero, also known as 'eezo', is a rare material that, when subjected to an electrial current, releases dark energy which can be manipulated into a mass effect field."
But plausible illnesses from an excess of any heavy material would be pisoning, radiation, interal bleeding, and the fever isn't totally outright there could definately be some inflammation. There could be more, as someone else said I would it look it up (also the person who said radiation) and pick one you like.
Hope all this info helps you write your fic.[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/happy.png[/smilie]

And other note (but I may be wrong here, I've played more than a year ago last time): Toombs and Jeong are two toughest checks in game, both requiring full persuasion level.
