eh.. I like Alistair a great deal. yes he's young and he's still figuring out things, but he's young... and even as young as he is there are hints there, so many hints and more then just hints of the kind of man he could become. He doesn't need to be made into a man, he just needs to be given an opportunity to grow into his skin, on his own.
I ummm/ ducks.. actually prefer Alistair romance to Kaidan's. (especially since on my canon, I got him to make the first move, took some effort, but it was sooo worth it).
Kaidna is a fantastic character and one of my favorite LI's in bioware games. But Alistair, with his irreverant sence of humor and his "yeeees?" and his awkward straightforwardness... /sighs...

Nothing wrong with preferences, everyone has them. I'm not sure I can pick just one favorite romance across all games. The ones that swept me off my feet in each game hold their own in that particular world. Kaidan is more mature than Alistair, but his world also requires it. If Alistair grew up with aliens and space travel as the norm he would be vastly different, just as Kaidan would be different in a medieval setting. It's apples to orages really. I love them ALL.

Alistair and Kaidan are my top two favourite Bioware romances...I honestly can't choose between, there are strong similiarites, but there are also strong differences, they're both amazing in their own way

what I like about Kaidan (among other things) is that no matter what... he doesn't prejudge and he doesn't condemn entire groups ofpeople based on few experiences.
Praying for more Kaidan lovin' must mean the same thingjeweledleah wrote...

on a different note it never fails to amuse me just how much all of our tastes differ and yet manage to connect at Kaidan.
Yeah. I love that growth in him. I hate him walking away. But my respect for him increased in that he could stand toe to toe with one of the most persuasive, charismatic characters in the galaxy and stick to his morals. I love that strength in him.sesheta255 wrote...
I love that Kaidan actually sees Shepard as a person and doesn't just follow blindly due to hero worship. He has his own morals and sticks to them - "If I didn't think we were doing the right thing I would be here." I like that this was upheld in ME2 and he walked away from Shepard on Horizon because of his morals and sense of duty.

No.That would be totally OOC for Kaidan, and I have a real dislike for OOC. Kepp them in character and I'm happy.

You know, I used to bash Jacob a lot. Until I did his romance. And he's one of the only characters in the game that asks how Shepard is handling all this--not because he's worried about the mission, but because he's worried about her as a person. Yes. He has cheezy lines. And yes. I HATE her voice in the Armory. But my opinion of Jacob changed when I did the romance.

My experience was the same, and I was shocked as hell when he let my Shep vent WHEN NOBODY ELSE GAVE A CRAP. I'm so glad I listened to Jenova and gave him a go, and I'm really glad I used a single Shep to do it. I felt like he deserved her all to himself.
