So... I have a kind of... odd question. Does Kaidan ever mention if he's a virgin or not in ME1? He doesn't mention any past relationships aside from Ranna (I think I misspelled her name?) and also says he doesn't take relationships lightly. Just my random wonderings.

I don't think he is a virgin, c'mon.... the guy is in is thirties and smokin', hot..... 
Plus if you're paying attention the signs are there. He has a healthy interest in women and if you flirt with Liara to get the three way chat after you drop Liara he tells Shepard it's OK and says something like ''You think I've never benn pulled in two directions before'', he has experience if you are listening to him...

He isn't written like a virginal character and isn't meant to be percieved that way (imo) compare him to Alistair..... He just doesn't rub his past experiences in Shepard's face.... BioWare are most likely sick of people b*tching about dead wives and troubled pasts

Alistair's romance is actually why I was wondering about Kaidan. I assumed not, since he's 33 (right?) in ME1, whereas Alistair is in his early twenties (?).

If only that were the case with Thane.

Alistair may outrank Kaidan in my LI list, but only because Alistair reminds me of my husband when we first met.  Zevran and Garrus are close on their heels, followed by Anders and Fenris.  Sky and Carth, though, will always remain pretty high, though.

@Lady, one thing I ALWAYS do with Alistair's romance, hardened him before I invite him to my tent. If you do that then next time you return to camp, Alistair will come to the Warden and ask to sleep with her. I forget all he says but he tells her that he was waiting for it to be perfect but he realized it might never be perfect. He goes on to say that he doesn't want to die without being with her. It is a nice change to see Alistair take charge.

@Jade, I also got the impression that Kaidan had other intimate relationships. He probably could count his lovers on one hand, but Shepard was most definitely not his first.

Not just BW ... I know my Shep is sick of being the go to gal for the emotionally unstable

I know, I always do that, too, and it's adorkable in his own way There are some good moments where he does take charge.

He doesn't need to be hardened though. If you wait until he is at love the next time you're at camp he comes to you. But I think you need to have the conversation where he kisses you first.

Back on topic now . . . Oh look a wild Kaidan has appeared!

So, when in ME1 does Kaidan ever whine about headaches? Chakwas mentioned it, and he had a conversation with Ashley about it once, but aside from that I've never even heard him bring up his headaches.

I wouldn't call it whining, but he mentions his headaches if you're male Shepard. I think one of the renegade options might be to call him a whiner.

Ah, thanks. I've never played MaleShep, so I wouldn't know. So many people use his complaining as a reason not to like him, so I was just wondering where the heck they got it from.

He has one line to ManShep somewhere along the lines of "Sorry, having a headache right now due to implant flare-up". He also has another line (not sure if it's in the same convo) where he's like "I don't want you to think I'm a whiner".

He never actually whines about it though, some people automatically think same voice actor as Carth = Kaidan is a whiner. (I don't think Carth actually whines either, but meh.)

Kaidan doesn't take sex lightly. He seems to want it to actually mean something. A rare attitude, in my experience.

Yeah.  I think with my Kimbri fic I wrote that Kaidan had tried the typical "shore leave" to fit in and found it wasn't for him.  He tried a relationship or two with a civilian, but it never worked out.  So I've seen him as having had some experience--just not with true love before.  Shepard is his first for that.

And I like making Alistair come to me as well.
Just like I like refusing the ear ring from Zev the first time.  I make him attach some meaning to it when he gives it the second time.

I wouldn't mind having a miniature Kaidan sitting on my shoulder all day, being my conscience He'd actually do a good job at that. methinks.

So, stealing this from another thread, but what would y'all do if Kaidan suddenly appeared in your real life living rooms?
