I would think so but I can't say for sure. I always play hardcore Renegade

i have 1 renegade kaidan and 1 paragon kaidan, 1 cheated on kaidan with garrus and 1 non romance character hehe

"Renegade" Kaidan is more xenophobic than regular Kaidan, who tends to ere on the side of Paragon

This is going to sound random, but it's not!

Okay, well, talking about bisexual Kaidan always makes me think of Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, because her sexuality changed and evolved over the course of the story. So, I got a hankering to re-watch some of my favourite episodes of Buffy, and the episode "Entropy" pretty much exactly summed up my feelings for Kaidan and my loyal femShep.

For those of you not familiar with the story, the characters Willow and Tara had broken up, because Tara felt that should couldn't trust Willow--a very similar situation to Kaidan and femShep. However, after time, Tara felt that perhaps she and Willow could mend their relationship. They took things very slowly, but after only one conversation, Tara finally came out and said:

"There's just so much to work through. Trust has to build again, on both sides. We have to learn if... if we're even the same people we were, if we can fit in each others' lives. It's a long and important process, and... can we just skip it? Can you... can you just be kissing me now?"

That exactly how I feel about Kaidan and femShep. I just want to reunite and throw my arms around him. I'm so tired of being angry with him. Building trust again is long, long road... or we can just skip to the end and kiss passionately. That's what I want. <3

looks like arresting to me, especially because Shep doesn't look happy

I'd look forward to such a scene prior to the trial, we had touched on that topic earlier
though in most playthroughs, I wouldn't fight Kaidan, I couldn't or rather my Shepard couldn't (unless my hand is forced storywise ...)
I might do it just to see how things play out if you do, but that would have to be with one of my test-Shepards
... hmm or maybe fight him with a renegon, but then giving up and turning yourself in ... oh the possibilities ... that may never happen <_<
