Well, what if I were to say I could make it happen in exchange for donations to Raphael's charity, GreenWish? How much do you think we could raise? Would a challenge of $1,000 be too high? (I'll put all the details up as soon as we settle on a goal.)

This sounds like a very doable goal. As soon as you have the details worked out, I'm so there.

How many people do we have on this thread that will actually donate? 10? That would be $100 a piece. Maybe 20? That would be $50. Seems like a bit of a high goal to me considering the number of regulars we have here and that gamers aren't known for having a lot of free cash.
Not that his voicework isn't worth it. Just trying to be realistic.

If we spread the news through sites like twitter and Facebook, and create banners, I'm sure we can get more participants than just thread regulars. Even folks who don't care much about Kaidan might be inclined to donate to charity if it's pointed out to them.  I'm not usually big on social networking sites, but for this I'll make an exception.

I doubt it would be just the regulars on this thread that would donate. If we could advertise this (i.e. word of mouth) to other communities (such as LiveJournal and Twitter), we could probably get a fair number of donations that way.

Jacqui, you may want to think about making a special donation link or somesuch so that you don't accidentally 'miss' any of the donations that are being given specifically for this reason. I dunno, maybe a PayPal link that automatically adds the word HORIZON as a note or something? I really don't know how to work online donations so take that for what it's worth.
