I don't like the concept - and, sadly, details fanart inherited from it. Shoulders look strange - call me old-fashioned but I like square shoulders on guys, three-piece suit - like. This curved form makes all figure look egg-like (oval-like?) to me.

White and yellow parts? I need larger and better picture to judge, but good old dark blue (or dark green) scheme definitely worked, so maybe it would be better to stick with that? Or maybe I'm just not a fan of yellow.

And, finally, this outfit looks too bulky to be casual. As for me, that's early concept of armor. Or another armor available.

That statement just a continuation of line of thoughts "Alliance blues - almost usual suit; Alliance casuals - pants and t-shirt; Ashley's "jacket" outfit - something form-fitting"... and it seemed logical that Kaidan will have something more or less form-fitting as well.

But who knows what male SpeCTRes wear as casual outfit. Heh, if Shepard is female, that uniform was probably created from blank sheet just for Kaidan

I agree.  I think it looks more like alternate armor than casual wear.
I want him in something more form-fitting (like the blues in ME1 were).

EDIT:  @mineralitca:  A blank sheet?  I think that would be FINE casual wear for Kaidan:devil:

Casual as in like more formal, for official stuff outfit and not typiucal "for the battlefield"? Look at Shep & Anderson's uniforms from Earth level demo:




They have leather vests and big shoulder pads that remind me of Kaidan's shouler pads. What I think Kaidan's outfit looks like is some military uniformo-armor for representative/official purpouses (i.e. the military trial)

I would thinks that spectres wear the same thing as any other person?  either whatever makes themmost comfortable, or whatever uniform is worn on the ship they are using.

spectres are like plain clothes detective in that regard, IMO.

I liked what we had in ME1 with armor while on missions and casual on the ship. Whatever they come up with for casual wear, I won't complain, because it's helluva better than catsuits all the time.
