52 here   and nope, don't see anything wrong with gaming. When I was approaching 30 I remember my dad asking if I wasn't getting too old to be playing games. I asked him if he preferred me staying out all night, smoking and spending all my free time in bars and God knows doing what else.

I got into mass effect late too! i picked up 1 &2 in a steam sale (me1 was a fiver that should tell you how slow i was) purely because they were made by bioware. I loaded up one, encountered a husk in the first couple of minutes, ran off going 'eeeek', went hunting for cheats and have cheated my way through since! The first moment that Kaidan spoke i sat and looked very confused, trying to figure his voice (was a huuuge carth fan, but it had been a while) then as soon as i placed his voice i wouldn't put the games down.

On an off topic note: any of you guys and gals planning on playing TOR when its released? Don't know if sbarge is doing any voice acting for it, but im still super hyped for it, would be cool to find more peeps to play with though! (currently ive just got my bro whos determined to be the evilest sith evaar and my bf whos not commenting as to what he intends to play)

Deluking again (inspired by noxpanda) I actually bought me1 upon release but was very late to the kaidan party (had a blonde moment -well several- and didn't realise there was more to the normandy than the cic :-o) but once I found him I coulnt get enough :-D.

On the age topic I am 30, I swear one day my children will log on to my laptop and as 'mummy why are there pictures of semi naked computer men on here?' Not sure what I will say lol

My sons talked me into playing ME1. They'd been trying for ages to get me to give up playing Kotor 1 &2 and play, and I kept resisting until they said the magic words "you can romance Carth". The minute I heard his voice I knew that if Kaidan was a romance that he was the romance for me. My fate was sealed when he gave the half smile in the medbay. I just really loved the character from my first playthrough and it was nice to have someone that didn't need fixing in some way. First playthrough was as a soldier because the boys told me that would be the easiest for me, but after seeing biotics in action I had to give them a try and now only ever play as an adept or sentinel.

I talked my kids into playing Mass Effect, lol.... It was one of my most anticipated games at the time

Welcome, noxpanda!

Yep, I will be giving TOR a shot when it goes live 12/20. Already pre-ordered my CE but still hoping on the off-chance I'll be picked for the weekend beta, even this close to the game's release.  I plan on making my first toon a Smuggler and my backup a Jedi Counslar but I'll see once I know more about the game's mechanics. I didn't get caught up in the whole "s/s romance" brouhaha but it was nice to know that s/s content will be supposedly introduced in an upcoming patch. Whether or not that will actually happen...well, I'll just have to wait and see.

I took extra days off to play ME3.

I am worried I am going to hate ToR (I play Star Trek Online, and find it boring)

But I am really looking forward to ME3.... So much so that I am taking vacation, just so I can spend time with Kaidan.

I'm still umming and ahhing over preordering TOR.... I dodn't really play online games and I am scared sh*tless that I am going to be a burden to people I play with 

I've got Skyrim preordered but it is a Christmas gift and I will be waiting until then to play it (after checking out CC)

I'm sort of glad that I have to wait til March for Kaidan because I would have saved that til Xmas if it had been November...  That would NOT have been easy.......

I generally avoid MMO's so haven't even looked at TOR too much, plus the fact that theres no release date for Australia yet, lol. I'll wait till I see some of Skyrim when it's released before I commit to buying it, I wasn't a big fan of Oblivion.

I haven't ordered ME3 yet, still waiting for massive spoilers before I decide to get it or not, although Rafael Sbarge's audio blogs have got my interest, lol.

I don't play MMOs. Any TOR would've been the first and only because of being a sequel to KOTORs but now that I know it's actually the Revan book that's KOTOR 3, I won't bother. Maybe when the price drops or the game goes F2P.

Don't worry. Most of ppl in the begining will figure things out with characters and skills and all. I've played MMO well alot and after few yeras in that I can tell you where to find something in game, it is just on top of my head, (I was best supporter on server for quite awhile  ). But at the begining I've lost in first vilage!  The same will goes with TOR... I had a friend in Lineage, she was 50+ and  she was awesome!

I'm a huge Star Wars dork and am really looking forward to TOR.  Never played an MMO.  I'm going to try out DC Universe Online when it goes F2P on Nov 1st, though.  But TOR is the chance to run around in the Star Wars universe with friends and my husband, and with a BioWare storyline as a bonus.  What's not to like? 

Silver:  Waiting for the right person is the right thing to do.  I didn't.  I married who I was expected to and it was disastrous.  Now I'm with my soulmate and its lovely.  We totally get each other--esp that geeky side of each other.  Its worth the wait. 

EDIT:  I LOVE the fact that there are 70 votes for Kaidan on that poll!  We're out there and showing the love.
