I doubt we would get thread-locked so long as we are celebrating the page count with lots of Kaidan pics, right?
You know I love your stuff! ♥
I don't understand why they would lock the thread.
TO ANY MOD: PLEASE TELL US IF WE ARE SCREWING UP AND WE'LL STOP. IT'S NOT INTENTIONAL, I SWEAR!

Dang it Bekkael, don't make me misty eyed while I am sneaking in peeks of this forum from work!
One of my Shepards was apparently a poet of not-much-talent:
The stars are dim, cold
Lonely points of light
Without your eyes to share them
@ Bekkael, your collection of pictures and words to match are beautiful. <3
@ Lyriel I think your Shepard is a poet of alot-of-talent!

Wiki (ME timeline): human learn the potential of biotics - 2158; Jack was born - 2161. Until 2158 no one can even bother about biotics, so maybe no organisation cared to track down children born after Singapore incident?KawaiiKatie wrote...
<...>
Probably not. Biotic abilities can be tracked down on the molecular level (like in Star Wars!) so Kaidan was probably identified through medical records and bloodwork. Wasn't Jack identified as a "biotic prodigy" during a check-up at the doctor's office? The evidence really points towards Conatix and Cerberus keeping an eye on the medical records of children born near eezo drops, especially if Kaidan's "intential eezo spill" theory is correct.
Agreed:)FireEye wrote...
As a result of the crash, kids in
Singapore displayed minor telekinetic talents before humans knew about
biotics. As I understand it, the implants and training synchronize
everything to boost what's naturally there and make it consistently
reliable.
Edit: I don't think that picspam will get character thread locked (never saw that before... maybe I'm lucky?), but I definitely can see "spam removed, evil smiley" and/or warning to thread able to happen.

Hope Friday is treating you well!
@pics - Fire's right and you're not supposed to celebrate page counts. The mods consider it spam. Though they typically give you a warning when they're around and edit your posts.

Kaidan's father was probably not proud of him for the fact that not only was he a biotic which would have been looked upon as a mutation of some kind and a freak, but also the fact that he killed Virnus. By that stage he would have had an L2 implant and the L2 biotics were starting to get a bit of a bad reputation so I could see his father not being particularly fond of Kaidan at the time.
Forgive my ramblings, nothing factual here just some of the garbage that floats around in my head, lol.

But alas, everyone, I need your help again, look at these and tell which one of them or maybe even none you like! Since I'm the only person who's looked at them, I don't know what everyone else's opinions are and I have our outline from Jho so I can start making our quote Kaidan. (need the template choosen first though >.>) And also, it would be great if you guys could start collecting quotes for me to use, I've got a lot of Kaidan to fill in =D

How else could he have found out?
Over the comm. if the pods were connected. After the chaos is sorted by whoever picked them up on the ship/station they're brought to. Over his armor's computer, seeing as how their suits should be linked.
Possibly other ways as well.

The only other thing I can think of is that he was being debriefed by Anderson or Hackett and the news came through, or he was helping the Doc with first aid.

Having literally just started ME2, I don't know if this is impossible for some reason, but maybe Joker told him. He's the last one to have seen her, and he told my resurrected Shepard that he saw her go out into space. Barring some really bizarre circumstances, I can't imagine he didn't share that news with the guy he'd been so recently interrupting in delicate moments with her...

@Jade I'm glad your happy now and found someone you really love. I know too many people who have gone through divorce.
This thread has jumped 6 pages since I was last here! I was listening to Far Away from Nickelback yesterday and though OMG this totally fits Kaidan and Shep. We are at 500 pages already I remember when we reached 300.

The closest situation I can recall is my own reaction on death of my favourite actor. The valley where one of scenes was filmed got buried under the glacier, and even knowing that I hoped for rather long time that they were lucky and got into some cavity, or that he was away from camp and now wanders in mountains, etc. etc.
Now considering that Shepard once got lucky and escaped falling piece of Sovereign and that Kaidan didn't know about puncture in hardsuit, might it be that he thought Shepard actually is in one of capsules they lost (even after she was thrown by explosion, she somehow reached unused / damaged from Collectors attack and hence untouched during evacuation) / was captured by whoever attacked Normandy and now held as prisoner / captured by mercs who will soon claim the price of her release?
I find the situation when initially rather many people believed that Shepard can't just die like that, then their number decreased until only Kaidan left rather possible.

Anyway, regarding Shepard's death, it's possible that as a medic, Kaidan was able to see a read out of Shepard's status on his omnitool. I mean, Shepard has access to info about the health of his/her squad mates at all times, right?

I guess when all the pods got picked up... and with Joker alone...the SR1 gone.... wasn't it obvious that Shepard was dead? I mean... he/she did die....body picked up by the Shadow Broker
Or am I wrong?
Also.. how DID the SB know that Shepard's body was on Alchera?

No idea about the Shep death thing. I will leave the sentimentality to other people who actually have easily reachable emotions.
*Goes back to listening to disco music. It is quite hard to type with someone saying 'flashlight' over and over for like 3 straight minutes*

Don't know if this has been addressed yet, but don't their helmets have radios/communicators/whatever? Kaidan had his on in the pod, Joker had one, Shepard had one. Maybe he heard Joker yelling for Shepard and put two and two together.

Also, I've wondered about could Kaidan hear through the comm link or have a readout of Shepard's vitals on his omnitool. Or would there have been sufficient damage in the intial strike to prevent the tech from functionaly properly. It's definitely a more interesting idea than the open pod, Shepard's not here scenario.

I can't write action, or romance, lol. About all I can do is really stupid humour, although I think I did a passable job with my emo dribble which I would probably write differently if I was writing it now. I find it much easier to write Kaidan than my Shepard which is sort of ridiculous to me, lol.Jade5233 wrote...
