Sorry we do no bash any characters here. Kaidan gets enough crap from haters, we do not lower ourselves to that level. All the characters of ME are written the way they are for a reason. We love them all for their strengths and weaknesses.

It's totally reasonable that different people are going to love or hate different characters, but yeah, let's please try to keep this a "No Hating on Other Characters" zone, especially when it comes to Ashley.  

Nobody who likes Kaidan has a choice, if they want to keep him alive.  Ashley *has* to die.  So even those who like her just as much as Kaidan, or even more in some instances, will have to make that decision at Virmire at some point if they want a save with Kaidan to play ME3 with.  It doesn't mean everyone who posts here or shows interest in Kaidan as a character feels negatively towards Ashley.

I try to do the same thing in the ashley thread/fanbase so that no one can just come in and Bash Kaidan. There are those who think "Virmire is awesome, until Kaidan dies" NOw personally, I try to alternate who sacrafices themselves on Virmire (so I end up with some Kaidan alive Malsehp PT's and some Ashley alive Femshep pt's) because both are incredibly well written and it a shame you can't have both until the end (unless you are the goddess Fireeye).

Played a little of KotOr last night just to talk to Carth. The audio derps so bad on his conversations that I had to turn it off in disgust. There's nothing worse than hearing Carth sound like he's belching all his words. Damn you xbox!!!

oh grow up. Women can be strong individuals and Men can have weaknessess. you don't seem to mind that if Kaidan is at the bomb Femshep hoist him onto her shoulders and carry him back to the ship. But oh no Ashley is protecting Kaidan waaah" Soldier protect their commarades it's part of the job and part of the reason they're dedicated to them.

You're not helping your case. You can have your own opinion, as long as that does not either diminish that of others, which you do if you portray Ashley in a bad way and second... well, you could be a tad bit more polite about it, right?

This is one of the calmest threads out here, I'd appreciate it if it stayed that way.

EXACTLY. I see nothing wrong in letting the lady save the day once in a while. Like Olivia Dunham in Fringe kicking ass with no need for male rescuing.
