It happens to every fandom, unfortunately. Whenever there are differing opinions, there's bound to be fighting.

Back to Kaidan (and partially to other characters). What if Hendel is meant to be a 'replacement' for Kaidan in case he's dead? This is what I've been thinking about many characters for some time. They've said dead squaddies won't be replaced by other squaddies. But maybe they will be substituted during specific missions that would happen with the ME1/ME2 squaddies if they were alive?

For example -> I don't think it's unrealistic to assume in case Mordin's dead, his nephew (the one who Mordin talked about in ME2) will replace him during Sur'Kesh mission. I mean, we all agree there's no chance they would do 2 completly different set of missions in case some character from ME1/ME2 is dead right? So basically, I expect all of them to have some 'substitue' prepared, like Wrex already has Wreav.

So what if Kaidan's personal mission in ME3 revolves around Jump Zero, hence why it would be Hendel who would instead guide us throgh that mission in case Kaidan's dead? And similary, for Ash it would be probably one of her sisters, for Mordin his nephew, Wrex -> Wreav (we already know that), Tali -> Veetor etc.

What do you think?

It's possible, Isaac. Personally, I'd think Hendel would be a squaddie for everyone, but will only seem like a replacement for Kaidan in games where Kai is dead. That just makes more sense in terms of resources, I think. If Bioware are going to spend lots of time putting a squadmate together, they're going to want him to be available to many players as possible.

There is one thing, and only one thing, that's important -

Kaidan is awesome, no matter what someone says or what someone thinks, we all agree he's awesome.

And there's no reason to fight when we all share something between each other, something that others don't see, the awesomeness, and maybe we might occasionally have different opinions, but that doesn't change why we're here. To share our love of Kaidan, now let's not spoil that, and continue being the close-knit group of fans I know we are.

I wasn't thinking Hendel would be available as a squadmate. They've already confirmed somewhere if your squaddie is dead, he won't be replaced in the team. But I think there will be NPC replacements for squadmate-specific missions. For example, I expect someone from Garrus family to serve as the main NPC and information-provider in case Garrus is dead during the Palaven mission. Just not be available for recruitement like Garrus will be. Similary, in case Tali is dead, I expect Veetor (or some other notable Quarian) to take her place during Rannoch/Geth-War mission, but not be available for recruitement.

So in Kaidan's case, it could be Hendel being the main NPC/info-provider during hypothetical Jump Zero mission (or other mission related to Kaidan).

Fistbump for Yankees!  Now tell me, isn't Kaidan's new hairstyle a lot like Jorge Posada's?    Saw some shots of him at the All Star game, without a hat, and thought "that's Kaidan's hair!".  I may need some help lol.

As for all the stuff going on, whatever floats people's boats.  The original picture was amusing because of the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness homage, and is interesting becuase there is some lampooning of the stereotypes in the films.  It would be interesting to discuss gender stereotypes and video games, and all that jazz.  Realistically, the Kaidan thread isn't really the place, and to be quite honest, BSN isn't a great venue for it either.  On the one hand, the mods allow some stuff that's NSFW, and on the other they are fast to lock threads.  Not to mention that the trolls are substandard here, and intelligent discussion gets drowned out in choruses of "because, that's why".

So let us all focus on the Kaidan respect that bind us, one to another, and just chill and have fun. We are discussing pixels, after all.

I'd love to see the whole list! I am a huge music geek so I'd go through them all! If it isn't any trouble of course to message them to me or w/e is easier! If you have to type them out individually though don't bother because that is alot, & I wouldn't want you to do that!
