But, and I hope many will read this... but it isn't that people ignore posters or posts because they are in a group. This general thread moves at about 4 or 5 pages a day? That is a lot of information to load and if I don't read it tomorrow due to time crunches.. then I have 10 to 12 pages to read.
I agree, that sometimes I feel ignored, but not because I am casted out. Just a post in a billion others and got lost.
And if a certain idea enthralls you about character development of Kaidan, and gets missed. Then I would feel free to post again!

Acutally, this is what I was going to post--that this thread moves quickly lately and it's easy for a post to get lost in the pack. It happens to everyone. Don't get discouraged. New blood and ideas are good.Preie wrote...

As for the fandom being different from others...my personal theory is that Kaidan tends to appeal to a more mature audience. By that I don't mean older, I mean people that have experienced life a little more.

The look on Kaidan's face after Joker interrupts this is my favourite moment from all of Mass Effect 1. Absolutely priceless.
I'm sure Kaidan himself wanted to space him at that moment. Plus.....hmmm shep died while saving Joker:whistle:

First sorry to see you go Mage, & sorry you feel that way, I hope you return soon.
I also just wanted to add my 2 cents into this topic to give a newcomer perspective. (Sorry for the long post)
I have only started posting on this thread about two weeks ago when Once Upon a Time finally aired & I really wanted to talk about it on here because I knew everyone else would feel the same way being that Archie = Kaidan. Before that I only posted once in awhile in the DA & ME general discussion only to list my favorite companion etc..
During that time I would lurk through my favorite character threads because I like to read them. I will admit I was intimidated at first by the speed of this thread, and at times my posts would be ignored, though it didn't bother me because I didn't think people were purposely skipping my posts to make me feel unwelcomed but because of how many pgs this thread gets a day, some posts just get lost in the crowd.
I would like to say I actually felt really welcomed in this thread, the people who I have seen as regulars here and newcomers welcomed me & I didn't feel intimidated anymore once I got used to the speed of the thread.
I think since the Kaidan fan base has been nurtured since ME1, of course there will be people who are very comfortable with select people they have been talking to for a much longer time, but I find most Kaidanites try to include as much kaidan fans into the conversation as possible. Just need to stay long enough to give them a chance.
Anyways that's my 2 cents on the topic.
Also...
Your welcome. <3 hehe I don't blame NightOdie one bit.Jade5233 wrote...

Also the song you posted Portishead - Glory Box was awesome! I love the beat, its really catchy! I have already listened to it 4 times in a row so far.
Also if anyone has anymore suggestions for the Shenko Playlist I will eventually collaberate all the songs onto a youtube playlist so everyone can take what Shenko songs they want from the playlist or use them all! So keep them coming!

Perhaps part of the problem is that it's one thread with many topics going at once. If it were subdivided, then we could have the side-tracked discussions. But as it is, we can't delve too far for fear of going far off topic and getting the thread locked. There's no room for all the discussions we could have (specifically, what we tried to discuss over the weekend, which was beyond the scope of this thread). So things get lost, dropped, revisited a few days later, revisited when someone new comes in and wants to discuss their thoughts on something (like Horizon). People will feel ignored or slighted. Add to it a heaping dose of nothing new (face it, Raphael Sbarge is giving us more info on ME3 -specific to our focus - than the devs), and thoughts get stale, people reach consensus on something or decide to drop it. It's not censoring, it's a natural flow of discussion. Conversations end, everyone says their peace, we move on.
TL;DR. So the condensed version is this: Meh.

I feel like this thread along with the Tali thread has a cliquish vibe to it.
Its strange cause how did this happen? This whole culture around Kaidan just popped up after me2. It really wasnt here before. Before it was so lonely now its just all of this..
Unfortunately I now have to agree. Over the past 2 weeks this thread has turned extremely cliquish which is very, very sad. It appears that while people outside the "inner circle" comment and ask questions and are basically ignored, anyone from the "in" crowd can sneeze and get 15 posts saying "Gesundheit!"
There's really no point for me to stick around since I'm not part of the charmed circle. That being said, there are a couple of posters on this thread I'd like to thank for their conduct during my time here. There are also a couple of posters I'd like not to thank. But I won't name names since everyone pretty much knows who they are.
Take care, have fun and thanks for all the duck.
Only caught up again now, and I'm very sorry to hear you didn't feel welcome.
@Sia Thanks for posting Louvette's Kaidan. I hadn't seen it until now. <3
@Vertigo1 Thanks for posting the tweets, as always!
The new audioblog is good news for friendship path male Shepard, right? Now we just need an answer for male Shep romance...
@Chylise Your pics always tickle my funny bone.
@Soren That ****block poster is win. Good thing that Joker is so adorable, right?
@ Jilinna and Pax: Well said.
Sorry if I missed anything else, but my throat is sore and my brain is frazzled.
I hope everyone had a good Halloween! Hugs to all.

I wonder which percent of comments asks about Mass Effect 3 and which about Once Upon a Time and what Mr. Sbarge thinks about this proportion:PVertigo_1 wrote...

About clique: I actually can see one objective reasons why posters are separated. Goddamned time zones. By the time Europe starts to post Australia is already sleeping and America is yet at work. Not surprising that discussions are "nested" and if place where you live is far in time from other posters, you'll be a bit lonely.
Edit: argh! Liked it too much and can't resist quoting

Time zones do tend to be a pain in the butt. Whenever there is an interesting discussiun, I'm usually sleeping like a stone. = /

I thnk pax brought it up perfectly, some comversations dominate the thread sometimes so it's hard for other's to continue whilst the pages move.
On the same sex thread, I gave up on... so I don't bother posting on there anymore.
Who brought this all up anyway?

@Aslan, same with you, lols.... And yeah... your boss, don't know how you put up with it *gigglesnort*
Anyway, joking aside.... I think when we all get talking about snippets of news that we have, it's easy when skimming to miss things, tbh I did that last night before going to bed. I'm one of the people who have been in the Kai threads a long time and try not to ignore anyone. We are all here to support Kaidan and it doesn't matter how long we've been on the forum itself.....

Thanks for sharing that tweet and its link to more answers from Mr. Sbarge. It's great to see that there'll be a strong relationship between Kaidan and both male and female Shepard. :-)
Same here, FYI. I'm happy to dip in and out as I feel like it, and I don't mind if some posts I make don't get a response. I don't say this in some attempt to invalidate the sentiments of those who feel otherwise, as I respect their point of view; I'm just adding my perspective.Red_Jezzabelle wrote...
I dont think this is a cliquish thread at all, I've found that pretty much everyone is friendly and there's a good group atmosphere/dynamic.
