Oh PLEASE, no Rhana mission.  Kaidan put that behind him a long time ago...unless she turns out to be an evil bee-otch that must be killed to help save the galaxy. 

No, I'd really much rather learn more about Kaidan's family.  Perhaps having to save them or something or to help patch up the relationship between Kaidan and his father.

From the hints they have been giving us, I don't think there is going to be loyalty missions like there was in ME2. Though it is still possible for Kaidan to give a mission or two to Shepard.

My theory is we are going to see Kaidan for the first several hours, then Shepard is going to send Kaidan to do something important while she is doing something else. Basically, 'Kaidan! Go save Arcturus Station! I'm going to save the Salarians!' Other squadies are shifted through, Thane, Miranda, Garrus, etc. A couple hours later, Kaidan comes back or whatnot. Though Kaidan as a LI always has to come back before the end mission for 'I hope we don't die' sex.

EDIT: I HIGHLY doubt Rahna will resurface. She was just a story to grow Kaidan's character. If she does she won't be in any way a threat to Shepard. She has been out of his life for over 17 years. When she was, she was nothing more than a young boy's crush. I'd be more threaten by the Citadel doctor even though she was just a casual date. After knowing Shepard really is alive, I don't think Kaidan is the type of man who would move on to another woman when he still has conflicked feelings of Shepard. Though that is also amusing that Kaidan doesn't see Horizon as a break up. Damn him and his vague letter!! Why does he have to be so cautious!?!

"Shifting" theory is quite a popular one (giving the 'no perma squaddies' statement), but I personally don't believe it. If the squad roaster changes and people come&leave, someone else must fill in. That would mean new characters or old ME2 squaddies (who may be dead which means new characters would have to be prepared anyway). It would result in ALOT of squaddies in total necessary to write/program which is exactly what they don't want to repeat from ME2 since it resulted in lesser interaction (with Shep and between the squadmates). They don't have more time to develop ME3 than they had with ME2. If they didn't manage to make 10+ squaddies in ME2 have lots of interaction, they won't be able to do that with 10+ squaddies in ME3 either. And if squadmates leave and ain't replaced by anyone, then the Normandy woul feel like a ghost ship and you would have limited options to chose for the missions. I predict the "no one's permanent" statement to mean that you can get the squaddies killed throughout the course of the entire game (instead of only by the late stage of the game as in ME1/ME2) if you make bad choices or don't take care of them. That's what I think they mean when they say 'permanent-squaddies' concept can't work in a 'war scenario' (where people can die all the time).

If there is not going to be any shifting Squadmates then there will be 14 important people sitting on there hands while Shepard and two others are saving the galaxy. That is assuming that all 16 will be return as squadmates at some point. And not counting the rumored 17th female squadie.

Personally, I really like the shifting squadie idea. One: it means I don't have to take an hour running through the ship to find out if anyone has something new to tell me. Two: feeling bad that I have my favorites and the others are completely useless to me. And three: Shepard would be more like a leader who is sending out her disciples to hand out gifts of bullets to Reapers.

EDIT: Let me also clarify that I don't think all of the squadmates will be returning. Though the LIs HAVE to return or there will be so much rage. That means Kaidan/Ashley, Jacob, Garrus, Thane, Liara, Miranda, Jack, and Tali. Adding Vega that makes 9. So go team sex?

But we already know that won't happen. The number of squadmates will be less than 12, BioWare confirmed it.

It is an interesting idea but my love for Kai makes me think "no" since I don't want him to leave at any point

I love Kaidan too, he is hands down my favorite character but I want him to do something important in ME3. For example I send him with the Salarians every so often on Virmire because I love the thought of Kaidan commanding his own team. Its the same reason I have for sending Garrus as the leader of the Fire Team in ME2. Garrus is my next favorite after Kaidan. But my Shepard trust him to be a great leader. Shepard trusts Kaidan, she knows he will kick ass whether he is by her side or not. A good leader sends her best troops to do things she can't do herself. When the Reapers are dead and gone then they can spend all the time they want with each other.

Also, I didn't realize they have confirmed that not all the LI will be returning as squadies. Where did you find this out? Because I will rage all over that. I'd be livid if Kaidan was cut from ME3, same for Jacob, Thane, and Garrus.

Love interests won't all necessarily be permanent squad members in #ME3 . Interesting new things happening in that area.

Kaidan would never be cut after they already confirmed him. He, Ash, Liara, Tali & Garrus are all safe, they've been already confirmed as perma/major squaddies. It's Miranda/Thane/Jacob/Jack (basically new ME2 LIs) that may not be squaddies. Either only 1 or all of them.

Yeah, I was planning on using it as shadowing. =D  but at the moment I'm putting it in the hair and along main points.  I'm just trying to get a feel for what people are imagining, so all opinions are appreciated   personally I think the 3rd picture looks a little wierd, but without another's view I don't have a clue o.O

Was watching Independence Day last night and saw Raphael a few times.

I am also hoping that Kaidan and Ashely have some differences in missions etc, it would be good for replayability. Or just as long as the romance scenes have something altered.

I like the middle one because I think it looks better and outlining certain areas where shadows should be with more words. It's not too much and it's not too little on words. I think the darker parts or shadow areas of the picture would have more words??? Then again I'm no artist and would be pulling my hair out trying to do what you are now. ((HUGS))

I have hope because of Sbarge's comment that the relationship with Shepard is "steamy."
