I think the beta was leaked on xbox only. But I saw a video someone uploaded to youtube, and it didn't include multiplayer. There are a ton a screenshots here if you're curious.

Holy crap at the screenshots!  A few were the tiniest bit too spoilery for my tastes...yet at the same time, want MOAR!!

As for the initial reaction to the VS...i suppose you can't have an "arc" without a low point at the beginning, right?  Though, it's also very possible LadyofRivendell is right, and the positiveness of the encounter depends on your ME2 choices, and whatever happened in the leak was some default option....

If I find another copy of it somewhere I will let you all know. It was taken off Youtube really quickly. I watched it at my Uni, right before we were leaving because I knew it was going to be taken down. And then by the time I got home 20 minutes later, GONE.  :/

Hmmmmmmmm. Mysterious.
It is a really early beta, as you can tell from some of the graphics. So maybe that's a glitch? Or Kaidan's father?

Just FYI, the Ashley thread seems confident that what is seen is the default-no-import, which means no romance; and thus, that a romanced import would assuredly contain a more...impactful first encounter.

Leaked videos pretty much confirm to me Ash's outfit is just casual/uniform like everyone wears in the Alliance base. Kaidan should have similar one, most likely the one we saw in blurry concept art (it was the same garrison cap with Alliance logo other soliders were wearing in the beta demo opening). Yes I love the title Major!!! It was probably a bug that Anderson spoke line in case Kaidan is alove haha!
