I've a good feeling about it, yeah. Bioware loves rewarding Liaramancers for picking the "right" love-interest, but I don't think Bioware would go so far as to single out Virmire Survivor fans and give only Kaidanmancers and Ashmancers a sad ending. That would just be cruel. Will Bioware give Kaidanmancers as much love as Liaramancers? Probably not. But will Kaidamancers get punched in the gut for their choice of love-interest? ....again, probably not! I know Horizon sucked, but come on, guys, Bioware will come around... They'll give Kaidan and Shepard a happy ending!

Yeah. I want a happy ending with the VS. 'nuff said.

I don't wanna bash Liara / Liara fans, but I don't feel it's a good idea to force her as "canon!LI" on the player by playing down any other LIs. It's bad enough ME2!LIs will played down in favor of ME1"LIs, but it's even worse if ANY other LI than Liara will put down to "less rewarding" or worse.

I mean, we all know Liara is BW fav. We all know she got most story so far (ME + ME2). We all know she'll play a major role in ME3. That doesn't mean we have to love her. And I hope we don't get punished for NOT picking her as LI.

I'm guessing you're talking about alcohol:lol:, too much coffee does that to me and I type SUPER fast and can't stop jittering.

Alcohol? This thing contain alcohol, sure, but it's most important parts are motherwort and valerian. If all alcoholic drinks would smell like that, the number of heavy drinkers would decrease dramatically.

I think that this is something we have to keep in mind.  That Sbarge thinks that we are going to enjoy the Kaidan/femShep relationship in ME3.  I would imagine that he would be more guarded if the ONLY outcome for the relationship is a bad one.  He did have the "rip your heart out" comment, but I am thinking that it only refers to one set of endings.  Not all of them due to other comments he made.

I read thru the complete text file and its really an overview. And it seems it doesnt list all the variables of how people played thru the game. Also the text is all over the place. Plus from what I saw of the beta I dont think all these plot points will make it into the game as is. The file I have doesnt mention romance much.

Edit: Based on the spoilers I have read it does look like the VS will play a huge role. Im hoping for a nice ending for shep and kai also.

I haven't seen any spoilers directly (I'm not clicking those links), but I have seen a bit of the backwash from concerned people who read the spoilers, and now I'm a bit concerned too. That said, the Mass Effect is supposedly about choice, so I will continue to believe that it's possible to make choices that will give us a happy ending with Kaidan.

Anyway, I'm hoping this thread stays spoiler-free. I hope to use it to get my Mass Effect BSN fix and avoid the rest of the forums until March. Kaidanites are such pleasant and delightful people that I couldn't be happier spending the wait with any other fan group. :-)

See, if you cheated and there's a less-than-happy ending for Shep and Kaidan, I'd be okay with that PROVIDED that there's the "rides off into the sunset" ending for them as well if you were faithful.
I'll be really, really upset if there's a forced tragic end for the VS that isn't dependent upon your choices.  That would ****** me off tremendously.  Like to the point of never buying another BioWare game.
Its stupid, I know.  My husband has told me this.  That I'm so emotionally invested in a fictional story.  But I've always gotten invested in good stories and characters.  And Shepard and Kaidan are at the top of that list.

For example, I was always a big fan of the Clan of the Cave Bear series.  I LOVED Ayla and Jondalar as one of my all-time favorite fictional couples.  But *spoilers*--In the last book (which was awful storytelling in general) Jon cheated on Ayla.  And I just can't get over that or the horrible storytelling.  That one last book of the series has completely ruined my enjoyment of the previous 5 for me.
The same would happen with ME if Kaidan is scripted to die or if there isn't a happy ending at least possible for Shepard WITH him.  I would probably dump my ME2 and ME3 games and only keep ME1 (if that) and say in my mind that the story ends with that one game--like I did with KOTOR.

This leak is getting ridiculous. Listen guys, the document was a rough summary of the plot. Didn't go into personal details with particular characters, romances, what not. Remember how Raphael said it that he recorded end-game scenes for Kaidan? So why are you worried? If there are Kaidan scenes at the end, it means he can be perfectly alive till the end. So stop worrying.

I feel exactly the same. The relationship between Shepard and Kaidan is the reason why I love ME. And if something bad will happen in ME3 ....I don't know. I think couldn't enjoy Mass Effekt anymore.
