Ok, so I'm officially too afraid to catch myself up on the thread. I'm hoping that those of you who have been active haven't had anything ruined for you either.

Well, we already knew from the devs that cheating in ME2 would have some major consiquences, so in any of the playthroughs that I did manage to cheat on Kaidan I'm not really planning for that Shep to reconsile with him (there's like two playthroughs outta five that are not faithful) That being said, I will be super sad if somethind does happen to him that is scripted and unchangeable, but I doubt there's really only one path you can take with LIs in ME3.

my biggest issue is.. at what cost?  because I don't know about you all, but it woudln't be a happy ending for me if it means my Shepard has to become super selfish to have it.  and this is coming from someone who conciders dark ritual, then staying together (as wardens is my prefered option) a perfectly find happy ending.

we'll see.  but the fact that some of the stuff in that link was concidered at all.. is making me very very weary.

and I will refrain from mentioning that leak after this, sorry

I am very unhappy with the spoilers, but this isn't the place to discuss them.  I already felt guilty enough after putting MAJOR in the thread title, but I figured there would be tons of threads discussing the promotion anyway.  If we can make this thread a place to talk without huge, plot related spoilers that might not even happen, it would be great.

Well, the promotion title/rank is nothing big and nothing compared to the size of spoilers that leaked yesterday. We would've learnt about the rank in January anyway. So don't feel bad, I don't think anyone really minds knowing Kaidan is a Major. But the other huge spoilers is definitely too much. Let's have both Kaidan & Ash fans work together to keep their threads uber-spoilers-free.

@TeenZombie: from first look I've thought "Major" refers to Kaidan's role in ME3, not rank. My English still needs an improvement

A happy ending in my book is the happy ending with the LI--which really can only happen if you save the galaxy too.  Or else you're happy for a short time before the Reapers kill you off anyways.

But Sbarge said that ending was "pretty rip your heart out."  What does that mean?  Emotional in a good way?  Or rip your heart out and stomp on it on the floor?

Please, do not allude to anything. If you feel the need to discuss, try Isaac's spoiler thread. Conjecture is just fine, but any grumblings about the plot are not.

I think we just need to stop discussing any leaks period, and not just hint about the types of things that were discussed/written. Especially considering all these things are from a BETA demo...

So to move the discussion forward, what effects do you guys think renegad-ing Kaidan in ME1 will have in 3? I mean, it's really gotta affect his views on going around and rallying other races to aid Earth, but tbh I'm far from an expert on what happens if you do harden him. Never been able to do it myself.

I always renegade Kaidan. Sadly, there are no flags that carry over to ME2 so I doubt that it'll have any kind of consequence in ME3.

I agree, not even cryptic stuff, read some comments and stuff and dont want to read anymore.

I never hardened/renegaded Kaidan. I just cant, he's too cute. :innocent:
