I never thought that things would magically work out okay between them. I'd be kinda disappointed if they were. It would be too easy. I always felt that they need to work things out. But I hope it doesn't take an inordinate amount of time, especially for a paragon Shepard who was faithful to her one true love/moral compass.

Aye. I hope that's the case too. Story wise it's going to be a huge opportunity. I really hope that it's not something underwhelming (i.e. *bilim* everything is fine again).

Okay. So I've always been a silent lurker, but I just want to say that I am seriously stressed about all these story leaks. :*(

I watched the beta footage because I didn't feel like it was a big deal, but to have the whole story leaks SOOOOOO early? Makes me a very sad panda. Trying so hard not to read about it, but I'm getting impressions just from other posters.

So this is now officially the only thread I'll be checking. I'm hoping that Kaidan and my FemShep can still have a happy ending together!

I'm trying to be more positive than I was this morning. Sbarge said there is a lot of Shenko goodness in ME3.
And datamining doesn't necessarily mean that what's in the code is what's in the game. Like s/s Kaidan romance in ME1. Liara dialogue in ME2, etc...

This is BioWare. There have to be happy endings with our LI's--at least ones that are possible depending on your choices.
We know that there will be choices that will be hard even if we don't know/discuss details. They were in ME1, less so in ME2. But they were there. And C. Hudson said that choices in this game will be more about civilizations than about individual people.
And I don't know of any other BW game where you can't have the chance of a happy ending (to various degrees) regardless of which LI you pick.

Keep the faith until we have something more official than datamining from a leaked beta that seems like a pretty rough incarnation.

Oh gosh... Part of me wants so bad to read the spoilers and assure myself everything's gonna be great/all of my fears are true, but the other part is trying to stay as far away as possible. Then a third part wants only to read the Kaidan-related spoilers.
Anyone who's read it, is it really bad? A yes or no would suffice.

And Kaidan's a Major now? I've been busy with Uncharted 3 the past week, so I haven't kept up on the news. When did that happen?

@Jill I would say probably only writers and BioWare employees (in the know) can answer that question. Based on the past track record of their other games, I still think a happy ending for VS lovers is in reach.

EDIT: @littlenikki No problem! And yummy Kaidan is yummy. Hmmmm.

Thanks. I broke down and now I'm reading a spoiler-topic in the Kaidan and Ashley group. Two weeks ago, I would have shrugged off spoilers. But for the first time, I was left disappointed by a game I had been eagerly anticipating, and now my paranoia is kicking in. The evil side of my brain says if I know everything, I won't be disappointed! I hate the evil side of my brain. Sadly, it usually wins these battles <_<

Against my better judgement, if you could send me a PM, that'd be great. *headdesk*

I was just just thinking the same thing. New fanfics is just what I need right now to set my mind at ease
