I didn't exactly hate what happened. I mean, to me at least, it made sense that Kaidan, as loyal to the Alliance and striaght arrowed as he is, would react in the manner that he did. It was Shepard's derpness that had me throwing an almighty **** fit.

I dunno, maybe it's easier now for me to say that Horizon wasn't so bad since I know that Kaidan will be playing such a large role in the upcoming game. I can say for sure that I probably read that afterthought message from him a few too many times than is considered healthy...

The first time I did Horizon and Kaidan left I thought I did something wrong so I reloaded. After all the different dialog choices I realized nope Shep was just being ... uh robotish, idiotic, face palmingly irritating....whatever you want to call it. Afterwards I went straight to the Citadel hoping I could find him and talk to him but no...no Kaidan  and I too read the Horizon letter a bit much on all my play throughs. Feed fish, read letter, look at picture, on to the next mission, repeat. lol

Voted for Kaidan. Gotta say though, I was pretty tempted to vote for the refund guy...he's one sexy hunk of man

Seriously, same here!  That praetorian was the toughest fight in the game up to that point, and I fought and refought it as many times as I had to in order to try every single last conversation combination...  It just wasn't possible, I thought, that the encounter with Kaidan would be so unsatisfying and that Shepard's lines would be so awful!  The eventual email was reread many times, and the night after it first showed up I freaking dreamt about Shepard and Kaidan meeting on the Citadel.  

I have hope.  Bioware wouldn't get us so invested in these characters only to squander that investment.  They must have something really awesome planned.

Ahhh refund guy. Every time I hear him he reminds me of my ex-stepmother (and not in a good way).

I wonder if they'll have a THIRD annoying human male who always spouts off things in an annoyed tone in ME3, to compliment Refund Guy and In-Line-At-Afterlife Guy.

So did I! I even went to the Citadel again after I beat the collectors in search of Kaidan. My shep was on the verge of being a stalker:bandit: but can't be a stalker when the object of your obsession is no where to be found.

Ok, so in previous response to those saying that maybe Anderson was talking to Kaidan's father or something in the leaked beta footage, I'm currently studying that thing like there's no tomorrow, and Anderson is definitely talking to the VS at that point. He clearly tells "Major Alenko" that he can't get ahold of the Normandy, and that "you'll have to bring her around" and to meet up at the landing point.

Sorry, just squeezing whatever new info I can and thought I might clear that up.

Yep.  It is definitely a reference to Kaidan, not his Dad.  Well, a reference to the VS; since Ashley is the VS in the demo the wrong audio file obviously got put in.

@Graceyn It is strange that Kaidan is flagged as the survivor in only that portion of the demo, but hey I'm not complainin. Gotta say, I'm a bit excited that my Shepard will finally get to serve under Kaidan, it's only fair that she returns the favor after all

So a Major would be how many ranks above Shepard? Assuming she/he receives her/his Alliance rank back, of course.

So, right now, I'm texting one of my friends, and I started a conversation about Mass Effect. I mentioned that Kaidan is my favorite character next to FemShep, and he asked me if Kaidan was, and I quote, "That black medic guy who has a really bad British accent?" I'm not sure if I find that funny or sad...

@Lady Well, I'm not sure how many ranks above Commander that is but I can ask my boyfriend once he gets off work. He's not in the officer branch of the marines, but I'm almost positive he's gone over it with me before...I just tend not to listen

He's a Sergent, which I think is like the equivalent of Lieutenant? I don't know, it gets really confusing for me
