Posted this one in the Ashley-Thread. It's an alternate universe where Liara got virmired and Kaidan and Ashley are alive. It's ME and pre-Ilos. Also male Shepard, so, no Kaidan-romance. But I hope you like the banter *g*

Ashley: Yes, I think he's still feeling bad. I asked him a couple of times why he picked her to protect the bomb. Shepard didn't answer.
Kaidan: Hmm, thought you would find out. I mean, you're a close friend.
Ashley: He didn't say a word. Just that he hates doing such decisions.
Kaidan: I couldn't.
Ashley: Do you think I can? Hell, I lost my whole unit on Eden Prime. I won't allow this again, not to my friends, not to Skipper. He means ...
Kaidan: Hmm, Ashley?
Ashley: Nevermind, Kaidan. It's ... personal.
Kaidan: I should restate my little line about "close friends". A bit too close?
Ashley: Shut up, Kaidan.
Kaidan: Am I right?
Ashley: Heck with it. I know it's wrong ... to feel like that for him. It's against regulations. We're in the same chain of command ...
Kaidan: So there IS something. And I wondered why Shepard's spending most of his spare time with you. It wasn't that much of a secret anyways. Seems as if becoming a Spectre also comes with some perks.
Ashley: I'm not a Spectre ... and Shepard is still my commanding officer. It's wrong, Kaidan, but I can't help it.
Kaidan: Ashley, just ... don't know. It's your career. Do you really want to jeopardize it?
Ashley: I'm a Williams. That's already enough to "jeopardize" my career. Did I ever told you about Shanxi?
Kaidan: No. But I remember there was a General Williams ... a relative?
Ashley: Yes. And he's the reason why my family's name got blacklisted. "The first human who surrendered to aliens."
Kaidan: That explains your distrust towards Garrus ...
Ashley: Nah. I like him. Nevermind. Kaidan, ... I've got a job to do. Do you mind to continue this later?
Kaidan: Sure, why not. Today, after duty?
Ashley: Looking forward, Kaidan.
Kaidan: Ashley.

I like it:lol: Shows how good of friends they are. I almost want to do a playthrough with her just to see what happens when she finds out about TIM and grandpa history. I don't know where it says it but I swear Mac Walters made a reference that will come into play. I'm kinda ticked off we were forced into picking between Kaidan and Ashley too because I would of kept Ashley in a heartbeat. I really liked her character but.....BW loves Liara:whistle:

God thanks we can have multiple playthroughs at the same time. Since I don't have a f!Shep and all my m!Sheps love Ashley Kaidan never made it  However I like his character and would leave Liara with the bomb to save him and Ashley. Don't get me wrong, I like Liara, but she's the one I care less of than Kaidan & Ash.

And yeah, god thanks we don't have to "love Liara". Lets hope we're going to see a great finale with Kaidan or Ashley. They both deserve it, they both are worth it

The beginning was the same as the fanfic I'm working on writing, except that I was Commander Shepard. Climbing aboard the Normandy from Earth, meeting Kaidan and Vega, saying goodbye to Anderson, all that hoopla. Except that Vega was holding a parrot (whose name was Sparky, apparently). At the last moment, Anderson told me (Shepard) that I'd been demoted, and Kaidan was now in charge.
So Kaidan gave me a tour of the ship, commenting that he helped redesign it. The ship had some sort of beach theme going, there were paintings, palm trees, sea shells, and such everywhere, and the crew members were all wearing Hawaiian tourist garb. Kaidan told me the new uniforms were his idea. Then, he led me up to his loft (formerly Shepard's loft), and introduced me to his pet sea turtles (in the fish tank). The whole room was some sort of turtle shrine; there was turtle stuff everywhere! Kaidan pulled out his favorite turtle, a little tyke named Tim, and carried him on his shoulder for a while.
Some other weird stuff happened (I got into a brawl with the reporter, saved Chakwas' granddaughter from a clown, and helped Mordin with his gardening).

Yeah, that's random and has nothing to do with anything, but I thought I'd share some Kaidan randomness. I'm actually considering putting Tim somewhere into my fanfic now...

Not only do I want what you're on, but I love it and I vote this for a super crazy ME3 DLC!

I recently went through my first Horizon experience... yeesh . I couldn't believe the derptastic dialogue choices I had. I was pleading with Kaidan from the other side of my monitor: "Look, I'm not like this! Blame the scripting! Come baaaaaaaack!"

I was surprised when my femShep was actually angry with the subsequent email (though she realized later it was anger at circumstances, not at Kaidan himself). She hit the "I couldn't bear it if I lost you again" line, and immediately blurted out (unfairly), "Well, you seem to have born it fine the first time!" Of course, he didn't, and when she could think straight again she realized that. But when you're hurt you don't always make the right assessment off the bat.

Since both Shepard and Kaidan are passionate people whose emotions run deep, their reunion wouldn't go easily even under the best of circumstances - which, let's face it, they won't be. But working for it will make the reward that much sweeter when it comes. I just hope that there's a happy ending to make it complete (still feeling a little afraid of the 'rip your heart out' comment from Sbarge).

I sure hope they cure FemShep of her inability to dance in ME3. She was derptastic in ME2.

This ^^. I really hope Shepard learns how to dance in ME3, instead of the awkward shuffle in armor.

Also speaking of dancing, I was watching Dirty Dancing yesterday and in addition to adding these songs to the Shenko Playlist (which people are more then welcome to suggest more songs to).

I decided to keep my preorder after all, but since its hardcopy of CE - I'm just going to keep it sealed for a few days.  if what I hear from other epople - I like?  then it gets opened.  but if what I hear ends up pissing me off?  I'll just return or resell it and wait for the regular edition on sale if what i read doens't ****** me off too much.

its funny - just figuring it out, makes me feel much much mellower about any and all game news   and gives me back inspiration to finish Kaidan's dog tags (though I don't think kaidan would wear those - in my headcanon, Shepard... had some changes made, after getting a hold of them )

 I'm going to pre-order when we get a little closer to the release date. And I'll probably just get the regular edition, games are outrageously priced enough, and the CEs even more so.
