I don't know if I'll buy any more ME games after this. DA2 was okay because by the time I bought DA:O in December of 2010, I knew from the news that DA2 would have a different protagonist so I wasn't too shaken up about it. But ME without Shepard would feel wrong in every way... I hate main character changes.

I am not going to worry about it. I haven't read the infamous 'all-encompassing-document-of-doom-and-fear-that-is-apparently-equal-to-the-arc-form-Indiana-Jones-and-will-likely-turn-me-into-a-cheesy-ghost' but unless it's March 6th, I have the game in my computer, and I am playing it first hand as the finished copy, I am not going to have a conniption fit over it all. I am going to cover my head with the pillow, have happy dreams of what could be, and how Kaidan will be in every scene and he how he will come everywhere me and never leave my side the entire length of the game. Then we can ride of into the sunset on a magical unicorn (Most of that is not going to happen but it would be awesome if it did).

I will just wait until I have played the game to get pissed off and scream bazaar made up obscenities at my monitor.

my 2 cents: I've decided I'm going to like this game. No way I wasted my money on something that isn't going to entertain me for hours on end, deprive me of sleep, and cause me to have bizarre dreams of shooting cerberus operative and intergalactic sentient machines... I have faith that ME3 will live up to our expectations, at least that's what I'm telling myself whilst living my in happy bubble of pro-active denial. It works for me. Cheers!

Serious Answer: I want what you want. A happy ending that provides closure and ends with Shepard and Kaidan riding off into the sunset.

Silly Answer: I want what you want, but instead of riding into the sunset on a magical unicorn, my perfect ending involves Kaidan and Shepard riding on a magically Elcorn! :P

Curious question,Did anyone kinda have a fling with someone else in ME2 just to see what Kaidan's reaction will be in ME3?

I have like 2 different save files for my shepard,Laura,there's one where she stayed completly faithful and then I have another file of her getting with Garrus.

I did it for 2 reasons, 1 to see Kaidan's reaction and 2 because I love Garrus:P

I didn't. Don't want to choose anyone else in even one playthrough. But that's just personal preference. Some choices seem so strongly to be the right ones to me that I find myself unable to take any others in any playthrough. Like not betraying Samara... can't do it any other way.

I can see my Shepard maybe romancing someone else in ME3 in some playthrough or another (since we've been told that ME3 will let us romance ME2 characters that we didn't previously romance), after she and Kaidan have had a chance to talk things out. But I don't want to play a Shep that just jumps to someone else so soon when Kaidan had to spend so long trying to deal with Shepard's loss. Again, personal preference.

My second Femshep Gabriella formed a relationship with Jacob, so will see how that turns out with Kaidan.

Other than that nope, only those 2 out of my 5 sheps so far cheated and I plan for it to stay that way. I did it for RP reasons, but subliminaly I wanted to see the jealous banters and dialogues over Shepard  between the VS and the ME2 love interest if there is any.  I want Kaidan/Ashley/ME2 LI to fight for Shepard's love, may the best LI win!

Also question, when you say fling, do you mean plan to return to Kaidan in ME3 after sleeping with a ME2 love interest, or moved on from the VS to a commited relationship with the ME2 LI's?

I actually haven't done this with the intention of trying to go back to him in ME3, though I do have 4 Shepards who "cheated" on him: two for Garrus, one for Thane (purely for science that may never even see ME3), and one for Jacob.  The Jacob file is the iffy one, since I killed Jacob afterwards in the SM.  So she's technically single for ME3, though I'll probably use her to explore any new LIs (Joker, I hope).

My other 3 "cheaters" probably won't go back to him.  Delta, who romanced Garrus, will probably be torn and I'll use her to play with any love triangle drama dialogue.  Evie, though, doesn't want anything to do with Kaidan.  She's spiteful. 

Kaidan really can't complain, since he still has 4 loyal FemSheps of his very own.

Well you can take the question any way you want.I'd have to say that in ME3 I will be using the file in which Laura "My main Shep" is 100 percent faithful^_^

and I might just make a new shep for Garrus or James if he's a LI. but Laura's heart totally belongs to Kaidan<3

I have one femShep that I made using the comic that didn't romance anyone, couldn't resist Kaidan in any of my ME1 playthroughs, lol. The rest of my Sheps all stayed faithful to Kaidan, and none of the romance options in ME2 really interested me that much, to me none of them were a patch on Kaidan, lol.

I have one femshep that's moved on. for a while, I was pretty undecided about what I'd do with her in ME3. and then... during suicide mission... she caught Jacob... and then Jacob caught her.... and their fate was sealed.

I also have a maleshep that's moved on from Ash, but... he didn't exactly move on, more like rebounded. so I'm not sure what will happen in ME3 with him... yet.

there's also one femshep that didn't move on, but might break up with Kaidan anyways.. not quite sure what will happen with her either

everyone else is loyal to their respective LI's whether they are ME1 LI's or ME2 Li's

I have to agree with you^_^ even though I love Garrus to pieces,He is best suited as Shepards best friend.No one compares to Mr Alenko:wub:

I have always been faithful to Kaidan. Although I don't know if it was because I didn't want to cheat on him or because I didn't really like any ME2 love interests. I considered Jacob for a time on a certain play-through but I can't stand Shepard's creeper voice when talking to him.

 My canon femshep romanced Kaidan and was best friends with Garrus in ME1. THe background I gave her was Alliance to the bone, and completely head over heels for Kaidan. Which was true, one my case as well. 
In the second game, without the Alliance and Kaidan by her side she struggled to hold onto herself. I almost let her fall for Garrus but I just looked at the picture on her desk and remember how much I loved Kaidan. 

I realize that I couldn't betray him. I didn't feel like I moved on at Horizon. At least with him.

I plan on bringing through all my Shepards into ME3 for closure purposes. My main shep Arianna stayed faithful to Kaidan and will remain so, then I have a loyal Shep for Liara, & a Shepard either holding out for Joker, Ashley, James, or I have some missions I left incomplete to do the romance with Garrus if necessary. She hasn't really decided yet, but if Joker is romanceable she is romancing him no question!

The other LI's will have their own Shepard to fondle over without any worry from the ME1 love interests because I have a love and hate relationship with confrontation jealousy scenes. I want to see and experience them once but thats it no more after that. I plan to have a loyal Shep for each LI, and create a few more Kaidanmance Shepards... its going to take awhile!

Also I need to make a Shepard for James I  lurrvvv James Vega!! His intro dialogue sealed it for me. I know really soon to admit but I can't help but love him, I had the same feeling with Kaidan before I played ME, I just knew.

@Jill My renegade Shep totally cheated on Kaidan with Thane. I just wanted to have one Shepard with that option, so she's the only one since it seemed to fit her personality.

All my other Kaidanmances stayed faithful. =D

Yes, I did. I made a Shepard for Garrus but had her romance Kaidan first because:
1. I can never turn him down. Seriously. Not romancing Kaidan in ME1 is like trying not to breathe. :happy: I can't not do it.
2. I was curious to see what would happen if someone "cheated."
3. I love Garrus so much! I wanted him to be happy too! He's got one of the sexiest voices! And he's too darn adorkable!

I'm not going to risk a "cheat" file. I play to what I would do. (That's why most of my Shep's are thr same, I just cant play an another being)

I'm a sap in real life, find it hard to let go. So goes the same for my Shepard.


Trying to play Deus Ex, so hard to be stuck with a male PC.

Perhaps Kaidan has had time to realize he has feelings for manShep. There would be no need for a new game. Shepard could dump whoever he is with if he's not single and go for Kaidan.
