About "what will happen if Shepard cheated" - I have two Shepards for that:

"Worst import" save which romanced Ashley, then had renegade sex with Jack, then romanced Miranda BUT made Jack's LM right before Omega 4 and sided with her. Miranda's romance cancelled via loyalty loss. SM survivors: Kasumi and Morinth.

"Womanizing Shepard" who romanced Liara (romanced Liara and Ashley, technically, but then suggested threesome), had renegade sex with Jack, romantic dinner with Kelly, reunion with Liara, and then romanced Tali. I was planning to remake this save to include Miranda in list, but hey, Skyrim.

So no, I don't have special save where Shepard cheated on Kaidan - two examples above will be enough.

I'm attempting to do a single Shep through ME1, it's so hard but I just find the comic so blah and I'll miss certain characters from Feros and stuff.

Decisions! Kaidan's little smile is proving difficult to ignore.

first conversation.. brace yourself, plug your ears and click on "I was bored" option   he laughs it off, so its not that bad and then you can talk to him as much as you want without romance flags showing up anywhere.

 I have yet to be able to turn him down. The smile ... just, it's too sweet and adorable! Every time I see it I smile like an idiot for a least an hour straight.

i romanced Kaiden in ME1, but then cheated on him in ME2, but i feel bad about it , but because Kaiden wasn't nicer, and does not show Shep much affection, where you meet up with him on that mission thing (forget where is was), i want my Shep to cheat on Kaiden,
i do not know whether i should make a new game where i stay loyal to Kaiden, and do not cheat on him, or whether i shouldnt bother about it.
what do you's think i should do?

Well we're not at all biased here, lmao.  You definitely need a game where you didn't cheat, don't forget that there will be consequences for cheating.  You need to experience all that Kaidan has to offer

No, I'm not cancelling my preorder. I know myself well enough that regardless of what happens I'm going to have to play it. But telling me to have faith based on Bioware writers and devs, because they've never intentionally misdirected us or shown bias towards certain characters that aren't Kaidan before? Sorry, I can't have faith like that. And yeah, I'm sure Sbarge has recorded plenty of lovely lines, but if to get them I have to force my Shepards to roll over like whipped dogs and act in a way that's completely out of character for them, then I guess I just won't be getting them. Whatever.

I feel exactly the same about Anders, even that it retroactively altered how I feel about him, perceive him in Awakenings and that really upset me, because I loved Anders..... I'm all for emotion but you don't have rip my heart out and stamp on it every time..... I play games because unlike movies and RL I have some power over the outcome. I'm guaranteed to make Kaidan love me in Mass Effect, RL offers me nothing like that

Because I first started playing Mass Effect when the sequel came out, then was thoroughlly confused and went back and bought the first right after Horizon, I thought I for sure was going to just romance this Kaidan dude for the hell of it, then dump his sorry ass for the mysterious and hallucination-inducing Thane.

That changed quickly...very quickly. From the second Shepard saves him from the beacon to be exact.

Now I find it hard to even flirt with any other characters (though I may have led Kelly on a few times to feed my fish...then switched to b*tch mode and told her I'm not interested) But I wouldn't say I romanced Thane or Garrus on certain playthroughs just to get a rise out of Kaidan. That "severe consequences for cheating" the devs keep preaching makes me too nervous to (plus personal morality and all that jazz)

I really can't make myself even TRY to flirt with someone else... I would feel so guilty soooo no, couldn't and didn't cheat on him in any of my playthroughs. :innocent:

I can't do it either, cheat on him that is. I can't even romance him with anyone except my canon Shepard.

So, I'll just have to youtube what happens. I do have other shepards though (Thank god for ME saves website and gibbed editor) who'll romance other people like Liara and Garrus and Thane

But yeah, no cheating on Kaibear for me.

lol  On my first playthrough I had grown so used to following a romance path in Biowares games that I didn't even realize until after I finished that there was an option not to.    And then I saw that picture scene before the SM on youtube and had to do it all again - so worth it.

And yeah, I thought of creating a brand new Shep just for each LI, but I just had too many to bring over from ME1 and it would've added up to a ridiculous number of Sheps, all fairly  similar except for their LI.  I may do it in time, but right now I'm just too lazy...

I never did that, never actually played ME1 with any Shep but my main one, Jenn (the one from the avatar and thanks ) I do have a femshep for each romance in ME2, recently made them all, and will play them if I have time before ME3.
Right now though, with Skyrim, Revelations, Arkham City, and I haven't even finished brotherhood or the Witcher 2 or my last canon playthrough with my canon Shep ...I don't now

I always romance Kaidan in ME. I can't resist him. And I never could bring myself to be with anyone else in ME2 so I had to make 2 play throughs in ME2 where I didnt use a ME import to romance Garrus and Thane. I liked the Garrus one ok, but Thane bored me to tears.  I probably won't take either of them to ME3 though, I am a Kaidan girl through and through

 I didn't cheat on Kaidan either. I have two Sheps that romanced him (one hasn't made it to ME2 yet), and another SHep that was single in ME1 and romanced Thane in ME2. I also have a non-imported Shep that I used for my first PT of ME2, she romanced Thane, and then Garrus in her second PT, but I never finished the second one, the Garrus romance is... not for me.

Both my Sheploos left Ashley on Virmire, and they were single through ME1. Renegon Sheploo romanced Tali (just to see what all the fuss was about), but I didn't like it, so he's not making it to ME3, but another PT with him will have him romance Kelly, who will make it to ME3. Paragon Sheploo is busy chasing Samara. (I swear I have a thing for unofficial romances: Kelly, Samara, Sebastian, Atton... I should make a banner ).


The only way I might cheat is if they give us some Genesis-like comic for ME3, so I can choose all my options and not have to actually do them all.

I can't resist Kaidan in ME1. I had to buy Genesis so I could make a single Shepard for Thane (who I did find I wanted to hold) without facing the idea of either not romancing Kaidan or cheating on him. I have one who might be able to cheat (seeking solace in the arms of her reliable friend Garrus). But dang, it's hard to even think of cheating on Kaidan...

They also said saves would have advantages? So people creating fresh msheps for Kaidan romance would seem to not get the perks of a femshep save.

Perhaps Kaidan has had time to realize he has feelings for manShep. There would be no need for a new game. Shepard could dump whoever he is with if he's not single and go for Kaidan.

Nope, if I settled for romancing Samara or Jack or Liara, I don't want to have any of them killed or suffer a bad consequence for dumping them for Kaidan quite frankly ;p.

Since when does dumping someone = death?

There might be bad feelings, but death is a bit much. None of my ex-bfs have kicked the bucket after our breakups. Also, something bad might happen to the dumped party, but it shouldn't be based on whether Shep dumped them or not. (That would be weird...)

I have one Shep who's a player. He hops around and hooks up with whoever; that's because in my head canon, his soul mate is an OC not relating to the Normandy or military. If breakup = death. he might be in big trouble.
