Ok I like the hitched before the last mission...better than lets just have a quick shag......

Ok here's another question

If your Shep is biotic...does that play a factor in their relationship? For instance Teddy is an Adept, so she feels comfortable around Kaidan, and he knows what its like when she's stressed her biotics flare up

Plus...didn't Mordin hint that...well..biotics= slightly better sexy time?

Something that was touched on in ME1 but not really explored is that human biotics are treated with mild level of suspicion, I see Zody Shepard and Kaidan having a level of mutual understanding of what its like to be the outside of the norm. Not to mention the level of stress and strain biotics have to put up on their bodies. I believe that understanding plays into their relationship big time. Also since Zody is 2 years younger than Kaidan she realizes that if she had been a little bit older, she might have had to endure the L2 implants and the BAat training.

I won't mind a marriage but I want it done off camera, similar to what happens at the end when the Human Noble marries Alistair/Anora. Or maybe just have it proposed at some point in the game and it is left up to us to fill in when and how it happens.

Off camera, yes please or not at all.

Number 1 reason: Reapers man! Reapers! I really don't think either Kaidan or Shepard are the type of people to think about weddings when total annihilation is on hand. I don't mind if there's an option to allude to it but I wouldn't like if it there's a poposal scene or something along those lines.

Oh, I don't know... If the dialogue wheel ever gave me such a choice, I would certainly take the opportunity to shout "Marry me, you prudent fool!" if only to see how Kaidan would react.

Does Shepard have better things to be thinking about? Certainly. But there's bound to be "When this is all over, what happens to us?" moments. Liaramancers got to have a line about "little blue children," so I would love to see future-planning conversations like that for the other romances. Especially Kaidan. He's such a sweetheart that I bet he would just melt over the idea of wedded bliss with Shepard.

I have this mental image of Kaidan in his dress blues, waiting for Shepard at the alter.... I don't care if it's "cheesy," I would die of happiness if it actually happened in ME3!

I'm thinking something along the lines of: "Tomorrow might very well be the end of all life as we know it. Before that happens... Shepard, will you marry me?" A sort of before-it's-too-late deal. I don't think it would be way off for them to opt for something like that. They're only human, after all. ;D

An actual wedding scene would be jarring to some people, I admit. So... maybe a proposal at least? It would be just as satisfying.

Indeed! <3 I can just imagine the shock on Kaidan's face LOL.

Though I would still prefer it if Kaidan was the one who proposed. It was the other way around in DA:O, so having the LI be the one to initiate would be a welcome change for me.

I love that idea, something in the style of Will and Elizabeth in "The pirates of the Caribbean" :)

Seriously though, how do you get your sceenshots to look so good? I pumped my graphics to max and they still never look as smooth as yours. Do you use a text mod or something?

No texmod... At least, not usually.

*checks settings*

Particle Effect - High
Gamma - 20 (it could probably stand to be higher, especially in some of the darker areas, but then it looks all washed out to me).
Resolution - 1600x900
Dynamic Shadows - No
Texture Detail - Ultra High
Filtering Mode - Anisotrophic
Motion Blur - No
Vertical Synch - No
Film Grain - No

Beyond that, I force 4x antialiasing w/supersampling through my Nvidia card (maybe?).

Beyond that, I make use of ye olde flycam, three FOV toggles (45, 0, and 90), pause and the hide-all-gui button.  I use Fraps and take shots in bmp format, and if I edit them I save them in png format.

Beyond that, I reload.  A lot.  Over and over.  Spamming the hell out of the screenshot button.  :wizard:

After that, it's mostly luck and good timing.  ^_^

My Shep isn't a biotic (she's a technologically incompetent soldier).  Yet, biotics are still a factor in their relationship, albeit a rather negative one.

As I've mentioned elsewhere - they have an unspoken agreement that if Kaidan lights up in the bedroom, Shep tosses him out the airlock.

That's harsh;)
My Shepards who romance Kaidan are not that self-controlled Vanguard (flares every time when becomes angry... Which is regular case for Vanguard, so she's sorta walking electric light bulb) and super self-controlled Sentinel ("You're very self-controlled" - "No more than any biotic" - "Tell me that"). I assume that biotics may cause trouble if fields accidentally interfere (I doubt any biotic Shepard will want miniature Warp Bomb when accidentally flare simultaneously with Kaidan) and two biotics near = twice as many static discharge at each other, so it can complicate relationships.
On a positive note, biotic femShep should be happy as hell because someone in squad finally eats more than she does.

Jenn also has this understanding with Kaidan about the whole biotic thing. He understands what it means to be a biotic, they both eat like pigs, and enjoy glowy sexy taimz:D. Sure there are a lot of downsides, but they don't really care.

Maybe, but it's going to happen in ME3 and we've waited so long so little bit of sentimentalism is allowed :D

Frankly, Kaidan's facial expressions are some of the best and most realistic/natural in the franchise. If we looks at ManShep's artificial-creepy faces he makes :?

 I like the idea of having maybe a proposal before the final battle? I keep seeing it like this;

Kaidan comes to Shep's room, he/she is a little on edge before jumping into the final fray.  He's trying to talk Shep down, and they get into a certain point in the conversation where he's just like "Marry me?", not a big thing down on one knee or anything, but Shep kind of steps back and then the dialogue wheel comes up.

Yes, No, or what I keep seeing for my Shep, personally, "I can't promise you anything.  I can't promise you that when I know that either of us, that both of us, might not make it out of this alive.  I can't put you through that again.  I can't do that to myself, either."  And then Kaidan looks all sad.  More dialogue wheel, this time with;

"But, I can promise you this.  I will fight with everything I have to make it back to you, so that one day, I can wholeheartedly accept.  But you have to do the same for me.  I can't lose you Kaidan, I know what it's like without you, and I can't imagine having to fill that void for the rest of my life."  Cue to some kissing and bedroom stuff.[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/love.png[/smilie]

As for an actual wedding scene, I'm going to say no, because I already have my Shep's dress and hair planned out perfectly in my head, and don't want to look at whatever generic crap BioWare would throw together for the big day.  I would, however, like to see a '5  or 10 years later' bit after the credits roll, focusing on what happened after the war, granted they survived, which would strongly imply that they did get married if you accepted his proposal/picked the above neutral option.  And somehow, depending on certain dialogue choices in the game that would recommend Shep would like a family someday, it would hint at them having some Shenko babies, though they wouldn't have to show them or anything.  Just Kaidan and Shep, standing together somewhere, Shepard's head on Kaidan's shoulder.  Maybe complete silence, except for some ambient noise?  And then some ridiculously sweet kiss or something.  <3

@IsaacShep: I disagree on that. In ME1, something weird was always happening with his eyes when he smiled, I do believe they were supposed to narrow, but instead of that eyelids look like they were glued to each other (it shows in ME2 later). Also, the constant eye contact during "private debriefings" was I believe a thing that threw many players off.

In ME2 during Horizon he had lazy eyes 50% of his screentime, believe me, I've made hundreds of screenshots there, not to mention "jelly" arms and palms.
Also, this. It's like... Our cheeks are... melding. Funny, never happened when I hugged Liara.

Ashley and Kaidan both have "lazy eye" during their appearance on Horizon. It does indicate a lack of attention to those two, at least in ME2, where they suffered in the more "cinematic" cutscenes.

Sometimes I really worry that I'm getting my hopes up too high for the awesome return of Kaidan and Ashley. Like, the big twist is going to be that the VS gets killed five minutes after we meet them. Or they turn out indoctrinated, or something equally yucky.

I hope I'm just worrying too much.

Finally something good came from that painfully narrow cheeks of my main Shepard. No melding parts for me.
About "paying no attention to Kaidan/Ashley": considering the amount of clipping issues in ME2 (Shepard what are you doing?) I don't think it's the reason. We have asari with pink hands, Kestrel armour and several buns popping out from helmets as well.

^ This and Naamah_bb suggestion of Will and Elizabeth.

For the proposal I see something very similar, no cheesy down on one knee. Perhaps right after Sexy Timez, laying together in bed. I don't know who I like better to ask the question. Kaidan is a romantic so I can see him doing it as long as Shepard doesn't beat him to it. Perhaps maybe like in DA2 in Anders' romance you can ask him to stay and move in or if you dodge it he'll ask you. Regardless, I don't see it being asked as a question more of a demand or a challenge. Just a flat, "marry me" spoken seriously with earnest.

You don't actually have to have a wedding ceremony to be married. If the wedding is going to be on scene, I've been musing with the idea that they send a marriage licence right before the final fight to someone who has the authority to marry. Anderson? Hackett? Some Ship Captain? I'm not completely sure who has the authority to marry besides a Judge and a Priest. Basically if they die they are already married. Any ceremony with white dress, tuxes, flowers, etc should be done off scene. I agree with Heleno, I already have my idea what the ceremony will look like, as well as their children. Things like that should be left up to the player.

As both of the Sheps who romanced Kaidan are biotics themselves it adds something extra to the sexy times. A proposal should be the faithful reward tptb spoke about.

I have this picture in my head of my adept and Kaidan meditating together Samara style in her quarters on the Normandy.

They're so alike it's a shame things don't work out.

Woah, okay just spent the last evening and the majority of this day reading through the 56 pages here xD

First time I'm actually posting in a forum but I just have to find a way to keep myself occupied till March. So looooooooong~ :(

About the marriage thing:
I'd be thrilled if it would be a little like the proposal of Akiba (was his first name johnny? I think so) to Merryl of Metal Gear Solid 4. For those who don't know it was a proposal during a fire fight. I think that would really suit marines and it would be just cooler than being handled on the Normandy. I'd also like Kaidan to be the one to come up with the idea, since he's the romantic. (okay, that doesn't count for any Shepards because everyone sees their Sheps differently, but I think it's definately something Kaidan could come up with. And well, again... I just think It'd be plain epic)

[Also, this thread made me taking Kaiduck as my wallpaper. ]

Another thought, and I'm hoping this isn't too off topic since this is supposed to be focusing on ME3 (but, ah well):
Any ideas for a Shenko theme song?

Brijenieve compiled a Shenko playlist a while back (okay, like a year ago) on her blog, here.  It's on the sidebar.

Personally, after ME2, my Shepard's theme song is Living in Exile by Sleater-Kinney.  It's more about her own personal angst and Hero's Journey, but since Kaidan is the Penelope to my Shepard's Odysseus, it kind of counts.
