Hi guys. Usually never post just lurk but I thought I'd give my opinion. I don't think it is wise for the writers to change a character just for sex. I mean we love the character for who they are and how they are already written so why change them just for a roll in the hay? I mean their sexuality really should not matter. They were already established a certain way and imo it kinda takes away from what was already affirmed about them. I mean I totally think that the whole Anders thing was a total screw up but that is just my thinking. So I think they should keep everyone the way they were written so as not to take away from the character. And I know you have choices to play one way or another. But they should not fix something that is not broken. They should focus on what is already created and build on that. Besides Kaidan is such a great character why change him at all? Why change any of the characters? Just thought I'd throw that out there.  

Hi sakuragrrl, I agree somewhat with you and everybody being bi in DA2 did feel a little weird to me (yes yes I know thedas is not earth can make up their own sexual culture). But it all depends on how you see it, some people justify it as a different universe each playthrough and the LIs being only straight or gay depending on the player's gender/whether a romance is pursued. Personally I wouldn't mind at all if they managed to pull that off invisibly, but I suppose that would hurt the romance slightly. If you can accept that then it's not to hard to accept that they weren't romanceable in previous games but now are, just as Garrus as Tali are. I should warn you that nearly everyone supports "s/s romance" here, so I thought I'd give just give you all the commonarguments from a frindley face first .

actualy quite a few people don't support s/s romance with Kaidan here, but some stopped posting, while other no longer express that opinion, because there's no point in rocking the boat much anymore.

Ha ha ha, no, no one's appearance was ever brought up, I know. And I get what your saying about not wanting to initiate the romance but that doesn't mean you wouldn't want to be in it. I don't mind NPC-initiated romances either (as long as I can let them down gently... right Anders?). It's kind of nice that they take the initiative and say "Hey, I'm interested in you!" instead of us trying to almost bully them into it. (Well, it seems that way sometimes.)

However, then you get people screaming "NINJAMANCE!" and "OMG WHY IS THIS GUY AFTER MY MANHOOD!" and other things like that, so BioWare says they're making sure the "Anders incident" doesn't happen again. (Because it's so hard to say no... amirite?)

Sorry, I don't mean to stir the pot. I read when I can and don't want to cause any trouble. Like I said I usually don't post because I do see how people can take things the wrong way. And in America (where I am from) and Canada and many other countries your're allowed to have an opinion, in which one was asked so I gave one. That was it I am not trying to offend. They have their opinions and others have theirs' and everyone here is an adult right and should be able to understand where others come from and not take it seriously. That's all it was. No offense. I will refrain from rocking the boat any further.

So earlier today I was attempting to get a half-decent screenshot of Kaidan. Because I play on xbox, and am too cheap to spring for a capture device, this was more difficult than it sounds.

HOWEVER, everyone, I'm sorry to say that I now have picture evidence confirming our worst fears: Kaidan is possessed.



Just kidding. Kaidan was not amused. He was very uncooperative for the next few shots. But finally, I got a smile out of him.



Mission accomplished.

One of the geekiest things I'm excited about is to see Kaidan in full glory of ME3 graphics. Especially the shadows are so much better than in ME1.

Oh, and it isn't that hard to avoid romance in my opinion. I haven't had issues with that so far. But then again I haven't tried too adamantly to avoid romancing Kaidan. I just can't go through with it.

I fell on the floor when I saw that. If nothing else came of that leak, at least I got to see Shep's eyes roll around in his head like marbles.
