Catching up, and these are my personal opinions and are obviously not shared by everyone, and not meant to rock the boat:

Kaidan being bi - no thanks. I have no problems with new characters being bi or gay but I don't want another DA2.

Romance writing - I'm sure that many of the ME2 romances were written during happy hour at Hooters or some such place, lol. I found the femShep romances incredibly cheesy. I only have 1 Sheploo, who romanced Miranda and that was pretty bad too - what the hell was wrong with Sheploo's cabin? the engine room? Seriously?

The leaked beta vids - the eye movements were hysterical, although I still think the guy stuck in the window was my favourite moment, lmao

Shutting down the Kaidan romance in ME1 - I have no idea as I could never resist him, lol. I had so many playthroughs because I kept making Shepards with the intention of not romancing Kaidan but all he had to do was give my Shepard that half smile in the medbay and she was a goner, lol. The only way I managed to make a single femShep was by using the comic which I don't particularly like, lol.

I wasn't trying to tell people not to rock the boat btw.  I just meant that I personaly, have chosen to stop rocking the boat, while a few others decided to stop posting for various reasons.  at this point the decisions on will they or won't they have already been made, so..  its easier to wait when all the boat rocking isn't making you woozy

No worries, I just included that in my comment because I didn't want to start a raging sh*tfight over something that really is neither here nor there in the real world ( and it wasn't directed at you so my apologies if you thought it was).  Quite honestly after losing my son earlier in the year I am not as passionate about games and/or characters as I used to be.

I know I tend to rub people up the wrong way with my opinions sometimes because I type and hit send before I actually put my brain into gear, lol.

But the one thing we all have in common is Kaidan so I guess we just concentrate on him, lol.

What do you gals and guys think? In SB dlc basically Liara asks where the relationship is heading and Shep basically hints at kids and marriage. Do you think Kaidan will bring up a where do you think this relationship is heading if we survive?

Also do you think BW will actually have Kaidan at least say something to Liara about letting him think for 3 yrs that his lover was dead. While the whole time she knew.

Also if you have spacer background. Your mother writes you and says jeez thanks a lot for letting me know you were not dead. For mothers in this group..how would you feel if a friend of your child never told you that your child could be alive and never gave you the option on what to do with your child's dead body?

Personally I would be upset that someone made a decision for my child without consulting me first and then never even telling me they could be alive. So I would have to mourn my child's death. I might feel grateful at some point for my child being alive because of Liara but still I think that would upset me.

Liara didn't know that Shepard was coming back. When she gives his/her body to Cerberus, Miranda tells her that the body is more damaged than they thought and that the odds weren't good. Personally, I always thought that Liara really had no expectations of Shepard coming back, especially when she tells Miranda that Shepard should just be buried. She hoped that (s)he might be saved ... but she really didn't believe it.

So given the small odds why tell others? Especially when you gave the body to Cerberus. No, let sleeping dogs lie. When Shepard reappears I can only imagine what Liara thought. Well, I do know that she thought that Shepard hated her for giving his/her body to Cerberus.

Even if I couldn't stand the character none of my Shepards would say "Yes, I hate you for giving my body to them ... I would rather be dead then ... wait. Dead? No, scratch that. I'm glad that you gave me a second chance. Wait ... No I might still be mad. Scan my head for a chip .. no chip, no mad ... chip, I'm pissed at you and the ice queen."

I don't think Kaidan would be angry at her for at least trying to save Shepard, just like he wouldn't blame Joker for Shepard dying in the first place ... But that is the Kaidan in my "headcanon". Other Kaidan's might act differently.

No. In BioWare's eyes, Liara is a perfect goddess that can do absolutely no wrong ever. Ever. If anything they'll probably have him thanking her at some point.

I don't hate Liara. I want to point that out. I'm glad she gave me a second chance. However, I think that Liara should of at least said something to Kaidan and Shep's mom regardless if Miranda/Cerberus thought she might not be coming back. She should of said exactly the way you said it. There might be a small chance that Shep might not make it. At least there would be a possibility of seeing her/him in the future and it wouldn't come off as a complete shock.

for the mother, I'm more disappointed in her for sending a letter. Don't they have holograms in that day and age? I would've wanted to see my mother in person, at least digital person.

You have a point about Shep's mom not contacting her with a hologram. I also agree that Liara should of told Kaidan that she gave Shep to Cerberus. It would of made the whole Horizion go down a lot easier. It wouldn't be like hey Shep was alive all this time and betrayed me. It would of gone off like ok so maybe they did pull off the rebuild thing like Liara said they would do but....did Cerberus still do something to Shepard?

omg, i would love it if kaidan asked that. i swear that would make my year hahaha. wouldn't it just be great if you could have kids at the end or at least know that thats what happened at the end?

if they dont get kaidan to mention anything then it'll just be stupid. ofc hes going to find out liara took shepard to TIM and she knew shepard was getting fixed.

^^^I also want BW to at least acknowledge Liara's decision. I know she is their favorite but she had a huge impact on the storyline and to leave something like that out just because she is their favorite is not fair.

But then I also believe that both Hackett and Anderson knew that Cerberus had Shepard's body as well and that Shepard was brought back so I blame them just as much as Liara. Although they may not have known about Shep and Kaidan, but Liara sure as hell did.

I also wondered about Hackett and Anderson knowing about Shepard or if they just heard the news about sightings on Omega. I'm thinking that at least Anderson had a feeling that Kaidan and Shep had a relationship because I see him and Kaidan talking. At least I can see Anderson helping Kaidan move on with his life and continue his career. There is a difference between a lover grieving and a friend grieving. Hell maybe he encouraged just drinks with the Dr. to help him have a life again.:innocent:

May be a reality on this site but not for ME gamers.  I'm glad that Skyrim is giving the option to players but I won't join them.  Do I want Kaidan Bi, hell no, but from what was leaked, I'd say that was the least of our worries.  I also don't want another Anders if Casey's team goes that way.  Anders was so poorly written that he had gay all over his face.  It was so blatantly obvious.  I don't have a problem with people being gay.  I have a problem with retconning.
