On the topic of s/s romances, it doesn't affect me one bit. I only play FemShep (I've grown so used to Hale's voice as Shepard's that I just can't play with MShep) so if a character, new or old, ends up having bi leanings, my Shep will have absolutely no clue. And if others want to have their Kaidan cake and eat it too, more power to them. Besides, with save editing, s/s romances were already in 1 and 2, so I don't see what the hoopla is about. *shrugs.*

As for Liara and meat/tubes body donation, yeah, my Shep was fairly pissed at her - giving her remnants to the criminal organization that she tore up in 1. Needless to say, Shep had a few words for her. But after LofSB they're buddies again and I have a feeling that Shep will tease her a bit about her possible attraction to Skittles - I mean Feron.

@ jeweledleah I was just responding to your response. Sorry if it came off as an attack, didn't mean it that way. This is why I hate boards sometimes because typing sounds more harsh than actually speaking.

I also agree that Liara should have known something being an information broker and knowing shep and kaidan were in love she should have said something to him. But I don't think BW will bring it up. Also I do hope Kaidan brings up the whole marriage, kids thing like in LOTSB that was a really sweet scene. And unlike some of the other romance scenes tasteful.

If you don't like certain types of fanart, scroll on by, or even get Chrome, AdBlock, and start learning how to block images selectively. But don't complain, or tell people to get out of this thread. The people posting m/m images of Kaidan like him, and wish they could play the character they prefer, and also have the romance they prefer. That's on topic and relevant to the thread.

Jumping in just to complain about something you don't enjoy? That's what's off topic.

Well put! We are all here to support Kaidan. So if we disagree the least we can do is be civil and respectful

Please everyone be respectful and civil on both sides.  We're all Kaidan fans here.  We all like to think about "What if" with Kaidan.
What if Horizon went better.
What if you could find Kaidan after Horizon.
What if you didn't have to work for Cerberus.
What if you could romance him as mShep.
They are all valid parts of exploring Kaidan's character.  People have a right to express those thoughts/feelings.
But not everyone wants to explore all those facets.  Please also be respectful if someone feels uncomfortable about certain topics.
Tolerance on both sides please.

I agree with the sentiment that Kaidan should be allowed to confront Liara over having turned Shepard over to Cerberus and keeping it from him. Though yeah, in the end he'll probably thank her for the result (Shepard is alive).

My personal story involves Liara not being over Shepard despite knowing s/he's with Kaidan. She convinces herself not to tell Kaidan because it's not likely to work, but subconsciously it's really for purely selfish reasons - if he doesn't know, she has another shot if Shepard makes it (and the leverage of being the one who made it possible).

I was mad at her for the Cerberus angle, but really - if it was them, Collectors, or death, this is the best of those options because at least I'm back and doing something.Didn't stop me from helping her with SB, but didn't win her another shot at my heart either. Hopefully, of the same options, my death wasn't ultimately kinder for Kaidan.

Ooo, get out of my brain!  That's basically how I see Liara in my game as well, although I tend to use words like "crazy obsessive stalker".  I still have this tiny fear in the back of my mind that at some point in ME3, we'll be forced to mind-meld with Liara, and then there will be a cutscene at the end with Liara and a little asari girl holding Shepard's dogtags, implying that Liara had Shepard's kid even if she's not your LI. *shudders*


And of course, Kaidan will probably hug Liara and thank her for her part in bringing Shepard back to life, because BioWare doesn't know what the word repercussions means when it comes to sweet, innocent, golden girl Liara. <_< Even if you have Shepard confront her about her revenge against the Shadow Broker and b*tch her out for handing his/her body over to Cerberus instead of giving him/her to the alliance and letting him/her rest in peace, Liara just acts like the victim and thinks she did nothing wrong.


*is obviously not a Liara fan* And it has nothing to do with her being "Kaidan's love rival". Everything she does in game makes me want to run away screaming. If I knew someone like that in real life, well, do the words avoid like the plague mean anything to you guys/gals?

That made me laugh cause I imagined the look on Kaidan's face to look exactly like he looked in the med ward in ME1.
Kaidan: Why is your little girl holding Shep tags
Liara: I, um, I wanted my little girl to have something from her father

s/s doesn't bother me at all and seeing pics of Kaidan with Mshep doesn't either. I might even make a single Mshep just to see the story arc.

I might disapear for a couple of days or weeks due to Skyrium!!!!!!!!! Midnight release tonight so it will keep me busy at least until demo comes out.
