About the marriage thing:
I'd be thrilled if it would be a little like the proposal of Akiba (was his first name johnny? I think so) to Merryl of Metal Gear Solid 4. For those who don't know it was a proposal during a fire fight. I think that would really suit marines and it would be just cooler than being handled on the Normandy. I'd also like Kaidan to be the one to come up with the idea, since he's the romantic. (okay, that doesn't count for any Shepards because everyone sees their Sheps differently, but I think it's definately something Kaidan could come up with. And well, again... I just think It'd be plain epic)

About the MGS4 thing, I could totally see it.  I was actually watching the scene a few weeks back, and asked myself, how would this translate into Shepard and Kaidan.  Maybe not something so played out and intensely Kojima-esque, but I could definitely see something similiar, especially since Meryl is a huge inspiration on my personal Shep.

yeah it shouldn't be too much like it, but the mere idea of initiating a proposal during a firefight with reapers and explosions and whatnot all around you. a last chance-thing.I don't know the details, the setting just pretty much spells awesome to me^^

Does Shepard have better things to be thinking about? Certainly. But there's bound to be "When this is all over, what happens to us?" moments. Liaramancers got to have a line about "little blue children," so I would love to see future-planning conversations like that for the other romances. Especially Kaidan. He's such a sweetheart that I bet he would just melt over the idea of wedded bliss with Shepard.

Yet again, I find myself totally agreeing with you.  Whether it's an event we see in-game, or in an epilogue, or simply something Kaidan and Shepard end up planning to do "when all this is over, if we survive," I'd adore the option.  Just an option - I know a lot of people are opposed to it, but they wouldn't have to choose it.  For my own part, I would just melt.

Hello all! This is my new favorite thread, so don't mind me as I get all comfy and settle in. I absolutely agree; since Dragon Age never gives you those "happily ever after" scenarios, it would be nice to have the *option* to have such a wonderful ending, as most of us have been with the series since what, 2007? Even if it is INCREDIBLY difficult, and would perhaps require you going back and playing ME1 and 2 and make different choices, I would do so to get this ending! <3:wub:

That is one amazing picture by Geirahod!    <3  Makes me wonder, actually...  The little child in the vent in the "escape from earth" preview, will the gender match Shepard's?  It would seem at present, just having seen male Shepard, that the child could be literal or some aspect of Shepard's imagination, maybe representing Shepard's childhood, or the hope/future of humanity that Shepard wants to be able to save - a bit like the little girl in the picture with Kaidan and Shepard.

Anyways back to Kaidan, well kind of, Geirahod awesome work. I would like to see a scene like this in ME3, Shepard and Kaidan standing together protecting the innocent.

I agree about Kaidan and Shepard protecting the innocent together. I'm looking forward so much to them being on the same, righteous, arse-kicking team so much that it almost hurts. But we've passed well by the half-way mark in terms of time to wait. We've pushed ourselves up the hill - now we only have to stroll down the slope. :-)

@IsaacShep I imagine him and Shepard together, still in the Alliance (or righting wrongs as Spectres), almost like Hannah Shepard and the mysterious ShepDad in the Spacer background, probably even making little baby Shepards that would become soldiers too in the future *-*

My Shep is a Vanguard, so the thought of a house full of biotic children amuses me. xD

But, for now, I'll be happy just with his company in the Normandy while I kill some Reapers =P

My Shep is also a Vanguard Though he won't be able to make these biotic children with Kaidan But they will sure have lots of fun trying And will instead adopt some biotic ophrans
