I signed the petition as well. Thanks Clara for making it for us, hopefully bioware will accomodate us.
Also, good day to everyone on this lovely Sunday. How is everyone doing? I'd also like to say I enjoyed all the Kaidan pics posted while I was away. You'd think I'd have more time to read and post on here since my son took over the xbox, but noooo. I warned him today though, I get ME time or he gets a foot in the booty!

If I were in ME and in the alliance, I'd want to be a biotic (most likely a Sentinel, I love tech stuff)! No salad for me!

I'd love to meet Kaidan's family. I think it'd be a great feature especially because we dont really know a massive amount about him.

Seriously, I would love to know more about the Alenkos. You get Ash's entire family tree in ME1; Wrex has a whole clan; Miranda, Jacob, Samara, and Thane have family loyalty missions; and Tali has an aunt who shows up along with her dead dad. Even Garrus has those emails in the Shadow Broker's database.
It's so not fair.
I'm starting to think that maybe he's not so close with them? I guess after all that time on Jump Zero he became a little more independent than some of the other squaddies.

I secretly believe that Shepard will have to rescue him from Seattle/Vancouver when the Reapers attack. And there will probably be a Vyrrnus husk on the Reaper that kills his father.

Maybe he isn't. Ain't they meant to be back on earth? He probs hasn't been to earth for years so hasn't seen them in years. we might find them when we visit earth in ME3.

So I'm sure this was covered somewhere in the first 500 pages of this thread, and everyone hates Horizon, but it really bugged me when Kaidan said that Shepard had changed. I mean, she was dead for 2 years, There was no time to change. She's been alive for, what, 6 weeks by the time she gets to Horizon? When she died, she'd just finished saving the galaxy from Reaper invasion a month ago and then she comes back and the same thing's happening again! So what does she do? Goes out and finds any means necessary to stop those sentient machine b*tches, just like she did the first time. Doesn't sound much like change to me.
Also, I'm now starting to think my first playthrough will be with ManShep. He can ease me in to getting to Kaidan again (and maybe they'll get to make out, too. who knows?). And my ManShep is a Vanguard, which might be the funnest class to play. Is this crazy?

He does not have the facts.
Or they assumed everyone would take the, "Nuh uh! Cerberus rulez!" conversation option.

Kaidan thinks Shepard faked her own death and is now working with terrorists. Two years is plenty of time to change if you did not, in fact, die, and Shepard is doing things that he perceives to be OoC. Furthermore, Cerberus has leaked false info to the Alliance that Shep is working for them (potentially doing dastardly things).
He does not have the facts.
See, this makes perfect sense... but why don't any of the haters get it? All they can think is... "Omg they called my Shepard, ME, a traitor... my ego! WAH!"

I think he couldn't separate his emotional view and the facts.

But Shep just explained that she was actually dead. I guess he doesn't buy it. I suppose I can't really blame him - it is pretty far-fetched. If Liara had just told him... Ah, but now I'm beating a dead horse.
Also, I cannot wait to shoot The Illusive Man right between the eyeballs.

In Mass Effect, it is presented that people do not magically come back to life. It's one hell of a precedent, and it's passed off as "I got better."
Shepard waltzes up to him and claims that she was "clinically dead" or "in some kind of coma." He's heard reports from Alliance Intelligence that she's been out working for Cerberus for two years. He can trust the woman in front of him, who for all intents and purposes, has reason to lie to him and appears to be lying to him; he can trust that the Alliance was telling the truth (which Shepard showing up with Cerberus directly corroborates).
And in the end, he says that he trusts Shepard, but he doesn't trust Cerberus. That's a hell of an extension of trust towards someone that, for all he knows now, could have been lying to him and a double agent for as long as he knew her.

+1
People just cant try and see it from another prospective. Shepard's dialogue doesnt help but I can see where the VS is coming from.

@ FireEye - that makes sense to me. I guess I never realized how much information he had ahead of time, but it stands to reason that anything Anderson knows/suspects, Kaidan would too. After all Anderson sent him out there in the first place.

Heh. You can take it in different ways; if you think he should trust Shepard implicitly, then it does come off as rather "WTF, Kaidan?". But there are a lot of points where Cerberus is implied if not shown to be behind Shepard's fall from grace in the eyes of the Alliance.
I happened to be "WTF"ing Shepard's decision to work for Cerberus all the way up to Horizon, so for me, seeing things from Kaidan's perspective ("WTF, Shepard?") came naturally.
ToP:

Of course, by "you changed" he could have simply been remarking upon Shepard's... upgrades.
