HA!  I would love for Shep to get pissy about Alenko's promotion while the Commander was out there saving the galaxy one derelict ship at a time.  My renegade Sheploo is definitely going to use that one.


However, my FemShep is totally going to dig serving under Major Alenko.

I was a dragon age fan too before I became a ME fan. But yes one of the things that made me fall for Kaidan was that voice and the smirk after you tell him "you couldn't of known what was going to happen". <3

Hmm maybe you do get to invite your LI to move in with you:) I mean assuming the new normandy will still have that little list of which team mate is in whatever part of the ship.Think about it,Shep's cabin's list remained empty,So maybe their saving that for ME3.

Melian Shepard (the one I am nearly through ME2 with on my first playthrough, who is my avatar) will be cautious around Kaidan when they finally get a chance to talk. She realizes it's been longer for him than for her. He's already grieved her loss once, and he won't want to face that again, cautious man that he is. But it's important to her that he know she felt the same about that night before Ilos as he did, and that she never betrayed him or the Alliance despite contrived appearances to the contrary. She wants him back in her life as more than a team mate, and is willing to invest the time necessary in the hopes it's possible. Her perfect ending is them both surviving and beginning a life together.

As a player, I am a bit less patient though, and I'd like my steamy scenes (multiple, please!) sooner rather than later .

One must wonder how *far* the fraternization rules spread in the Alliance. Spacer Shepard's parents are both in the Alliance, aren't they? So the rule must be "no inter-squad dating" and not "no dating anyone who wears Alliance blues, EVER".

Not that that's going to stop my Shepard.

That's what I was thinking, but then Mr. & Mrs. Shepard had to have time together to make the hero of the galaxy.  So I wonder if it's a superior-subordinate thing.  Which would totally suck, because they were the same rank in ME2, but now Kaidan's the boss of her.  I guess we'll just have to hope he's still willing to bend the rules.  Because I would hate to have to get all the way to the night before our final mission to finally have a reunion.  Make-up sex needs to be priority #1.

Screw the rules. It's Shepard's ship and Shepard's rules, lol. How many other Alliance ships have a strike team comprised of humans and aliens? So obviously the rules can be bent for Shepard. And if Kaidan even mentions fraternisation now that he has a higher rank, he's gonna get kicked in the daddy bags, lmao.

As far as I know spacer Shepard's parents are/were both Alliance but it doesn't seem like they served together once they hooked up. Dad is never mentioned so we don't even know if he is alive but Shep does mention that at one stage her mother was off on some mission and she didn't see much of her so I'm presuming she was with her father at that point. In my head canon, dad is a doctor, but don;t ask me why, lol. I'm assuming that there's no way the Alliance would let a husband/wife or lovers serve together and I think that was one of the reasons Kaidan was hesitant about breaking the fraternisation rules the night before Ilos.

How my Shepards would react on Kaidan when they'll first meet after Horizon? Alyson would want to shoot someone for the sake of distraction (she's far better in rallying people for battle than expressing love); if has to talk, then try "business first" - explain why she worked for Cerberus and what she did with Collectors base and Overlord. Mona never was a big talker, so will hide into corner and stare; if forced to talk, "Errr..." and "Umm..." are the most probable.candidates. Ingriв honestly think talks are worse than Torfan, so will pull an ice queen and talk about Reapers invasion.

Last night I got to the top of a mountain in Skyrim, and I just let my pretty little Nord stand there while I panned the camera for twenty minutes and watched aurora borealis affects, and two planets traverse the sky. It was so ridiculously beautiful in combination with the glorious music playing, that I was quite moved.

Is it unreasonable to hope there will be such moments in ME3 where we will get to stand with our Shepards and admire the beauty of the galaxy we are fighting to save? Preferably with Kaidan right next to us? Moments like that can't necessarily be scripted in, but I think they are almost more emotionally powerful than climactic story moments. Anyone know what I'm talking about or is this just something strange that goes on in my mind?

I'm with Sesh. Screw the no frat rules. Shepard is a Spectre. So is Kaidan. The Alliance regs shouldn't matter since they both answer to a higher authority than the Alliance anyways. (Then again, that's how I felt in the first game too).

And I skipped out for a while too since spoilers were posted. I'm going to try to be back again. I just hope that more of the data mined crap isn't posted all over again. :l

I do that, too. I've parked the Mako on craggy mountaintops, gotten out and stared up at alien starscapes many times. For some reason, I find it even more moving in space-oriented games than those in fantasy settings. There is something that can be breathtaking about it - and it would be all the better if there was a meaningful way to share it.

I hope fraternization won't be an issue for us to deal with. I think Shep and Kaidan have enough to deal with (getting past the Horizon debacle). Plus, we've got "End of the World" issues going on. I don't think a little thing like fraternization is going to matter much. At least, not to my Shepard.
