yeah, well it is in the spoiler area, but I guess that means things that are sanctioned by BioWare or even shown by them in trailers or indirectly via articles in gaming magazines, not datamined from the leaked Demo

also, all the speculation based off of something that's partly changed already is kind of ... *rollseyes*

well, what people talk about might still be in the game who knows *shrug*
the thing is that it's an earlier draft and amid all the ZOMG! spoilers, people just seem to treat them as something that's going to stay as if the actual game had been leaked

If Kaidan and Shepard were to run into the doctor on the Citadel, it would amuse me greatly if after the conversation, Kaidan went into super paranoid mode and just started blabbing every time he even thought/looked at a girl.

Kaidan: Okay Shepard, I'm coming clean... I hit on the waitress at Flux once.
Shepard: Kaidan, it's ok-
Kaidan: And I checked out this one woman's *ss who was in front of me at the grocery store checkout.
Shepard: Kaidan, it's perfectly under-
Kaidan: And I went to a strip club and saw a girl getting a lapdance from an Asari and pretended it was YOU getting the lapdance!

especially now that there's info from some pre-whatsitevent interview with the Doctors that BioWare listens to the feedback turned into we change things according to the feedback

isn't it a bit late to deliberately leak that thing to get fan feedback and see what needs tweaking accoring to those who yell the loudest?
I mean, if I was BioWare and doing that **** on purpose I would have leaked it during the convention season in summer, claiming someone got their hands in it from one of the booths or whatnot and see what fans think, then I wouldn't even have to bother to write anything decent in the first place ...

good grief I hope no one who was actually working on the story reads all the 'leaked on purpose' stuff ... I thought the Beta got leaked on purpose for marketing puposes, but this just seems beyond something you'd do just to get feedback <_<

minor things may be changed and adjusted, but the bulk of it, the general direction of the story? not so much. I'd like to be as optimistic as you all, but cynical little me just cannot manage.

I'm basically ready for all sorts of hate and drama at this point. I just hope that they toned down some of the more melodramatic bits, just a bit at least.

P.S. I personally prefer it if Kaidan has moved on, rather then stayed forever alone, because Shepard is his "one true love" the character I fell in love with deals with his issues, problems and feelings and learns from them, instead of obsessing like... Gollum or something.

This is true, however, the ME3 leaks prove how highly modified different main concepts may get. There are *certain* events for example that were moved to a completly different location and placed in a different context.

I don't know about the whole cheating/jealousy thing, whether with the doctor or whatever. I can understand trying to move on, but grief and death don't always work that way. Even if you know someone is gone forever (as Kaidan would have thought with Shepard) you can't just will your love for someone away, and two years isn't that long a time to try and get over or forget someone you loved dearly, speaking from my own personal experience.

We know Kaidan is a loyal and devoted kind of person, so....I don't know. For him and my Shepard, I always imagine this is his theme song over the two years+ they are apart. Everyone else can roleplpay it as they see fit, but Kaidan and Shep are soulmates in my head, and no one else will do for either of them. They need each other now to be whole and fulfilled, as well as having that extra push of motivation to fight just a little bit harder. I hope nothing in ME3 will keep me from being able to play that out., or I will be writing furious revisionist fan fiction which is my usual way of dealing with stuff I don't like in games. Like with the non-existant Cullenmance in DA2. :innocent:

Don't worry Leah, I don't think any of us are one of those people who thinks "earlier draft" = "entire thing has been written". Hence why I have not read the leak at all, and do not want to know what was in it.

Unfortuntely, the mentality of some people is that if you believe the draft is an earlier one, it means you think the story has changed and you're an idiot. <_<

And when Shepard died, I hope Kaidan moved on as well. Becoming obsessed with someone after they've died and makes it impossible to move is a touch... creepy.

@ Chylisse. I AM actually one of the people who thinks that earlier draft = entire thing has been written. it might get edited slightly, but the story? the story is set. the game was fully playable around christmas. that's a year ago. I have doubts that they will make any major changes, minor tweaks and refinements at best. there were variations on a theme in that script. we don't know which one of the variations will make it in. but we know that that theme? it will happen one way or another.

@ Bekkael. having lost people - no, you never really stop loving them. but moving on is not the same as out of sight, out of mind. I see it as learning to love again and 2 years is more then enough time for the pain to start to dull and maybe trying to open up your heart to another person. then again - I don't believe in concept of one and only or love at first sight. I think we have potential of having many soulmates. and that soulmates are not born, they are made through love and perseverance.

@Leah I understand what you are saying, but I think a great love makes an indelible imprint on the heart which may never heal. If it were me, there's no way I would be open to emotional intimacy after only 2 years. So, do I think Kaidan fell in love again? No. Do I think he possibly tested the waters with someone else and even had a bit of comfort sex? Sure. It would probably be a rare man who wouldn't look for solace in another.

 This is perfect.

I really, really don't understand why anybody would get angry at Kaidan or at any women he may of been with.
Shepard had a case of the dead for over 2 years, people don't usually decide to wait and say "Well gee, I'll just wait for my dead girlfriend to come back to life!"


It feels much more in character for Kaidan to finally try to move on instead of forever alone

I don't have a problem with Kaidan getting out and dating. And it wouldn't make Shepard angry, a little jealous maybe, but she knows she was MIA for 2 whole years. Seriously, I'd feel bad if all Kaidan did was mope around the whole time. That's depressing and doesn't seem like him.

However, if he now has a live-in girlfriend, that's going to put a cramp in my Shepard's style. It won't stop her, of course, but things would be much easier if she didn't have to feel guilty about ruining Kaidan's relationship with his fiancee or something.

So, basically, I agree with Bekka on this one.

^^Everyone is different with moving on. Some people can move on faster than others. Though I do agree Kaidan isn't one to date again after only a few months.

I'm hoping Rahna was it for him.  And the infamous doctor.  Jacob and Miranda had a thing going on to before Shep showed up.  I gues BW broke the mold with Alistair.

I think I might just go drink a bottle of wine and play ME2: the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Oh I forgot about Jacob and Miranda! I kept feeling like I was forgetting someone. I suppose you could also count Anders and Karl too. And Varric and Bianca. ;3;

I can see him having a couple other girlfriends after Rahna, but none of them really impacting him like she did until Shepard if she romanced him.
