My apologies, but no, that isn't what I meant earlier. The situation that arises occurs no matter what. It is my strong belief that whether you cheated or not will influence the outcome of that situation. It is the situation itself that infuriates me. It should not occur. At all. It is not in Kaidan's character for that situtation to even be a question and I will leave it there to avoid spoiling it for anyone else.

Maybe I should clear up any confusion on my stance, too. I could not care less about how the romance ends in ME3. Those who want a sunshine and bunnies ending will get some sort of resolution that will satisfy them, I'm sure. I care about character integrity. I care about plot and writing. I care about the buildup in relationships and how characters can be woven together to tell a damn good story.

If all you want is to sex up a character named Kaidan up in ME3, you should have no problem what so ever.

No worries. Sexing up Kaidan is a great thought  and I can totally get on-board with that, but my tolerance of poorly written story arcs will still play a role in my enjoyment of the game. Not everyone has the same tolerance level. Not everyone will react the same way, so hopefully this dreaded Kaidan moment in ME3 will not sting too much/at all and that I'm able to move past it somehow, just like how I did with Horizon. (<- Literally, I'm PRAYING that will be my reaction).

I think they won't change a lot. For one, release date is really close, second, they won't diminish the role of VS or Liara since they really are there for Shep all the time throughout the game. Whiners gonna whine. Kaidan is keeping his role.

This is a pretty bad article, the guy didn't even know that Drew Karpyshyn hasn't been working on Mass Effect since the second game, and Mac Walters is lead writer.  He also does not seem to know what the spoilers are, and he doesn't know what people are complaining about.   He's just spouting his opinion without doing any research.

Honestly, in regards to Kaidan and Ashley's role, the point that the doomsayers have been trying to make is that they worry that the VS is *already* written OOC in ME3, to justify the hatred that many people have for them.

It would be nice to believe that they'll change certain things, but I don't actually think it's happening.  Eh, it's Bioware's story to tell, whether I like it or not...so while it may not be a game I buy, it's the game they want to sell.  They won't change the story at this late date.

Although, I wonder if the crap that happens with Kaidan/Ashley is absolutely integral to the ongoing story? Because if so, then it's probably unrealistic to expect them to change it, as that would entail changing pretty much the whole thing. On the other hand, if it isn't so integral, then they could tweak it without affecting much else, if at all.

Wow I actually read 15 pages! I've read the spoilers and Raphel Sbarge was right there is A LOT more action between Shepard and Kaidan. Also there are some very beautiful romantic moments that make your heart melt. Every relationship has it's up and downs. Also think about everything Kaidan has been through. I can say honestly someone dying an unexpected death does change you. It changes how you view yourself and the world around you. It did to me. Kaidan has to sort out all sorts of crap to think about. This is a couple who have not been together for 3 yrs. We all know he is a very passionate man and that is what made us love him. He got his heart broken before and he is just being cautious. The challenges I read is so worth the very beautiful written love parts in the story.

I think some of it, yes. I'm not too sure about one confrontation though because I couldn't find any dialogue for it. So either it was scrapped or the dialogue just wasn't in the files yet.

Thank you Silverpearl .  I know about the "bad" thing, but hearing (as others have also said) that there are wonderful romantic moments as well is enough to calm my angst.  Now I don't need to go read them, but instead will anxiously wait to be "awwwwww'd" in the fullness of the game!

Spoilers don't bother me personally, because for me it's all about how it plays out, not what actually happens. (Yes, I do sometimes read the last few pages of a novel when I know I don't have a whole lot of time to read it and I want to know how it ends. Sue me.)

But I try hard not to spoil for anyone else.

Kaidan love! I cannot wait to see all of the exciting stuff, whatever it may be, BioWare has in store for us Kaidan fans. I have faith.

I just made it through my first suicide mission last night in ME2. Wow, what a ride!

I loved the little touch of looking at Kaidan's picture in my cabin beforehand - I'm taking it as an omen that, while we will certainly have to work on it, we can have a good relationship in ME3. Tonight, I will go through Arrival... and have my first femShep ready for ME3. Woohoo!
