I was gonna say add in both Winchester Brothers, Varric, Alistair and Isabela and I'd be set. But that is just as awesome.

Oh, the possibilities!

"I think we're gonna need a bigger boot!"
"I don't understand that reference."

but its easier to just divide everything by ten instead of things that go in eights, then twelves, then fours and blah..  I've been living in US for almost 15 years now, and I still have trouble dealing with this system sometimes..  especialy since half the supplies I buy are sold in metric, while the other half is sold in inches and feet >_>

@ Sakuragirl that was not an annoyance with you specificaly, but rather with USA still stubbornly refusing to switch to a more logical measurment system. (I find the progressions from day to month to year to be more logical as well - seeing as it progressing from smaller to larger units instead of skipping around)
I apologize if I offended you, it was not my intention.

here, have a Kaidan.

Just saw the CE trailer and am more excited. But did anyone notice at the end the date? it says
9-3-12 not 3-6-12 do you think that's a mistake or have they pushed it back and haven't said anything yet?

Doubt it's a mistake, the date looks like it's just written how the brits write dates (;

9 = day, 3 = month, then the year.

not just Brits - most of the world usualy goes with date/month/year format.  they also use metric system. USA and by extension Canada are just that special >_>

lol..yeah, Americans tried to do the metric system thing back in the late 70's-early 80's, I believe? Then we just did a collective, "Bah! Forget this crap." And that's pretty much the last I saw of that in the U.S.

Kinda like the soccer thing. It's cool, and all, but we don't really care about it.

I remember doing a year or two of trying to learn the metric system in elementary school in my 5/6th split class. We all failed. Terribly.

Though it may of been easier and smoother if the teacher wasn't one that turned into an absolute witch when somebody had trouble understanding something the first time. Then it was 10 minutes of hearing how awful the class was lollol

No it's correct ;)
This is the european spelling (DD.MM.YY) and Release (March 9)

^This was done in a way so as not to offend. This was how I was taught so not to tick someone off. Because everyone on here is from a different country so I try to stay away from making comments that will offend another culture. Every country does things in a different way and you can't change one to make another happy. That is just how some are taught. Just because everyone else is taught that way doesn't mean the whole world has to do it. It's called being unique. I mean would you like it if everyone looked alike, talked alike or thought alike that would be boring. I shall not say anymore. As a matter of fact I really haven't felt welcome since I decided to delurk so I think I am just going to stop coming to the boards and just wait until the game comes out..

One last thing: thank you for the apology. I appreciate it.

you know its really weird... it should be so much easier to learn the metric system becasue the main thing you need to remember is that everything is divided by 10. and we are already using partial metric system when it comes to money....I have a feeling that the teachers may have been making it harder then it should be.
US units on the other hand are pure memorization since every subsequent unit is divided by different number of parts and the names are all different too (unlike metric where you have a meter or a liter and you just add prefixes to it) .
bah.

sigh,  its not about everyone being the same.  unique cultures are wonderful.  but being unique for the sake of being different even if it overcomplicating things is just.  I don't get it.

and you know what, since it seems that I just keep rubbing people wrong, I'm going to leave you all to active Kaidan apreciation and go back to lurking.

Sometimes when I'm looking through my ME2 saves I'll see the date and get all kinds of confused about what file that is and when I last played it. Normally my first assumption is that my 360 messed up and somehow thinks they're more than twelve months. Then, I'll remember that Canada puts dates first and it all makes sense again.

I don't remember if I felt like the teacher was making it hard. I just remember feeling overwhelmed and doing very badly at it  :(

To this day if my kids bring home math and have a metric system question I start shaking my head no and run screaming from the room, LOL!

No, don't go. Don't be that way. Jeweledleah already made a peace offering of Kaidan cookies. Really one can't do more than that.

Besides, BSN has ppl from all over the world. In other times we were at each others throats. What I love is that ppl from all over the world can come together for one common cause....Mass Effect! And specically here, Kaidan. We are united in that. It may not be much, but it's something.

I really don't know why we were doing metric system stuff. It wasn't in the 70s.

That's true! It's just funny if someone's like "I'm xx centimetres tall", I'm like... okay? I have no idea how tall that is. XD

You know what's not fun? Trying to follow an imperial recipe when all your food labels are in metric. I remember in foods class once, someone got confused with the measurements in the recipe (because they were in imperial and our utensils measured in metric), so they ended up putting a cup of salt in the bread they were making. :sick:

Edit: Eeek, TOP.
