Damn those pesky vampires. I love the True Blood series mainly due to Eric, I gave up on the Vampire Diaries, I do find the heriones of both series have something lacking.

They just aren't Buffy or Commander Shepard.

LJ Smith's still alive? The Vampire Diaries were like, back in 90's! (But yeah, there's been some kind of ****** with Sookie Stackhouse books, aaargh!)

When Twilight got big, I guess the industry started scrambing for everything vampire related to cash in on the hype. Vampire Diaries was picked up as a TV show, and then suddenly LJ was hired to write more TVD books. (which I couldn't get through. I read the first 100 or so pages of the new series and had to stop, it was so bad. And then she got fired. DRAMA!)

I tried watching True Blood, but I was rolling my eyes and facepalming all throughout the pilot. Just because you can have nudity/sexuality/violence/gore on certain stations doesn't mean it needs to be cranked up to 11.

Anyways, back to Kaidan. He dances!

Okay, Twitter experts, how do I view comments/replies to Casey's tweet? When I click on it it only shows me two replies? (Miranda and Liara) Am I doing something wrong? :/

You need to put @CaseyDHudson into search bar and then select all tweets two view all responses (not just top ones)

As for the Joker incident, I think the tweets were rude to the point Jessica went into Joker thread to remind people to behave.

The tweets (twits?) weren't actually rude. It was the prompt that seemed to be agressively suggesting spam that Jess probably noticed.

Hah, reminds me of this author who put a "Who do you want the main female character to end up with?" poll, and listed all the guys in the books. Shippers voted in droves, even making groups on the net to get people to vote every day to ensure their ship would be the victor. The author had the poll taken down, saying that it was just a fun poll and wasn't going to affect what she wrote. Of course, it would have been fine if she stopped there, but then she went on to say that the only reason one character was winning the poll was because everyone thinks his TV counterpart is hot, and added that another character she liked more should be getting more attention. Way to imply your fanbase is shallow, and tell them what they should think lady! <_<

Meh, could be worse. I remember reading an interview with this author who absolutely hated one of the characters in her series, but that character was popular with the fans, so her editors didn't want her to kill the character off. Her response to this? Continuously (and gleefully) putting the character through beatings, rapes, and torture, then killing her off gruesomely in the last book. AND insulting the fans who did like the character by basically calling them idiots with bad taste. /is not still bitter, promise!

You'd hope by now that the devs realizes Kaidan has quite a dedicated fanbase, at least here on the BSN.

Anyway keep tweeting Casey! :D

If we had been under such tough constraints on #ME3 that we supported only one love interest character, who would you choose?

It crossed my mind that this question could be related to the possible upcoming trailer... Maybe the character who gains the most tweets gets to be in it... but then again I just might be imagining things :pinched:

I *need* Kaidan to be in the trailer.  We're supposed to be getting a FemShep trailer, right?  Wouldn't you expect to see Kaidan in that one?  Since he's going to be glued to her hip for every mission anyways.  At least in my universe.  I just want to see him in action (by which I mean, watch his butt when he walks).

Edit: spelling

I felt the same way watching it. It's part of the reason why I just stick to Buffy and Twilight(for shame! it's a guilty pleasure) for vampires; it's so simple but good enough for me. And I am also intelligent enough to know that Twilight is a badly written series while Buffy is epically amazing too Image IPB
Except the sparkling bit /what the heck was she thinking/

But yes. Why can't all the characters not shown yet be in the trailer? Kaidan, Thane, Miranda, Jack (I'd love to see her new look!), Samara, FemShep, Joker, Kasumi... Did I miss anyone?

If Kaidan isn't in the FemShep trailer after we have already seen Garrus, Liara and even Ash, I will rage. >:(

My poor FemShep to Kaidan: "Since January 2010, I've been lying awake every night, aching for you."

It's Sara Douglass' Wayfarer Redemption trilogy.

I admit, I have a weakness for supernatural creatures, especially vampires, which started with reading the Vampire Diaries when I was younger. It doesn't matter how bad or WTF-ful it is, I can find something to enjoy in just about any vampire series. Twilight for the lulz, True Blood for the hotness (naked Skarsgard, sigh ), Buffy for the kick-ass awesomeness, Vampire Academy for a little bit of everything.

gets out of lurking to grumble for a moment - Sookie Stackhouse books existed AND were very popular long before twilight reared its.... head. and the show's Sookie has very few similarities with the book Sookie.

vampires had very steady popularity through the decades. Vampire masquerade. Interview with a vampire. Blade. the ever classic Dracula and all his incarnations. just to name a few that come to the top of the head that made it to TV and/or large screen... before Twilight.

edited - which character did Sara Douglas torture like that?  I stopped reading after thrid book - that writer tends to put all her characters through the ringers that give George R.R. Martin run for his money

I think I imagined that we would have our femshep trailer by now, but I'm guessing it'll be closer to the VGA's if not debuted during the show itself. I'd be sooooooooooo happy if it had some Kaidan in it. I mean it would only fit, right? Kaidan was the VS by default in ME2 (no import). Shouldn't it work the same way again? Hmmm.... *goes back to work again*

I heard/read Bioware has some announcement something or other coming for VGA.  I assumed it was for something we don't already know about - like a new series.  It's waaay to early for DA3.

Aren't we getting something new fore ME3 this week?  I sort of assumed it would be the femshep trailer and that whatever it is won't show up until Friday.

I think I made up less than 20% of the above statements, even though I can't corroborate with references.

FemShep trailer's gonna get showed at the VGAs, I'm pretty sure of that. But I'm not totally convinced Kaidan will be in it... BW already broke the 'canon VS' mold pairing Kaidan with Sheploo on the first official screen from ME3 that got printed in various magazines back in Spring and they may want to put Ash in the trailer in her catsuit outfit to appeal to VGAs main demographics... So I'm gonna keep hoping but I won't believe till I see it. :/

Kaidan was only the VS if you started a new ME2 game with a female character.

I figure it'll debut at the VGAs too.
Unnnnggg I hated having to wait through the VGAs to finally see the ME3 (and Skyrim, but that was a surprise) trailer. The rest was just excruciating. (James Woods from Call of Duty wins best character over Ezio Auditore da Firenze??? Raeeeeg!)

I'm hoping for the femshep trailer at the VGAs too, but aren't they already doing a trailer or teaser or something for a new series then? Or did I hear that wrong?

If I'm doing my 1st Grade level math correctly, it may not be.

DAII had it's official reveal trailer 9 months after Origins came out. It's been about 8 months since DAII was released - 9 next month.

I got into vamps when Anne Rice starting writing her vampire series. I also loved her Beauty books. Yummy erotica is yummy. :innocent: Twilight was okay for me until book 4. I returned it after I read it. If I want a Mary Sue tale I can find it on the internet for free. /strong opinion

I'm hoping for the FemShep trailer by new year at the latest. If that's when demo/MP early access becomes available, it would make sense to see some FemShep by then. I thought they were supposedly going to really be marketing FemShep for ME3?? Other than a hair color contest, I haven't seen much. :?

Alright guys and gals, ready for some random?
We all have hidden talent in some capacity or other. What do you imagine Kaidan's would be?
Personally, I can see him being a capable piano player. Maybe playing a little jazz, or some blues... Sexy!

Much better than discussing spoilers or sad things, no?

oh.  I see.  well that explains Azure and the Stag thing a little better.
Sara Douglas is not a nice woman sometimes....

femshep trailer (preferably with Kaidan in it) is long overdue.  its been almost half a year I think since they promised it and default femshep was chosen something like 3 months ago.

edited - hidden tallents.  I once wrote a short story for KAAS where Kaidan's hidden tallent was scrimshaw.  it can be a very meditative artform and it requires very little space and tools.

That's just silly, vampires and werewolves didn't exist before Twilight! Everything rips off Twilight, even stuff that was made before it. <_< I don't know how many Twi-hards I had to tell that Vampire Diaries didn't rip off Twilight because they were made in the early '90s, 14 years before Twilight existed. <_<

I hate that the stupid sparkly vampires have turned vampires from being awesome into being mainstream garbage. *sigh*

They could put Alexander Skarsgaard in an a chair and film him shifting uncomfortably in silence ... or reading really bad poetry (lymrics, even!) for hours, and I would watch that show.  He's that beautiful.

... even more so with his shirt off.  </shiver>
