Alright guys and gals, ready for some random?
We all have hidden talent in some capacity or other. What do you imagine Kaidan's would be?
Personally, I can see him being a capable piano player. Maybe playing a little jazz, or some blues... Sexy!

Much better than discussing spoilers or sad things, no?

oh..that is interesting because now that you mention it, i can definitely see Kaidan w/ musical talent. Jazz/blues...but somehow I see acoustic guitar involved.

It would be so cool if BW included stuff like that in their characterizations. All of them. Just some lil bit about them; their personal lives, interests, hobbies

I see Kaidan secretly woodcarving/whittling in a rustic cabin in the Canadian wilderness. For some reason, I always imagine him doing creative stuff with his hands. I'm sure he's good with them. ;)

Oh!...I just nerded all over the floor

Kaidan is actually a closet chess-master. He'd totally be into all the strategery!
But I'm really into that shirtless guitar thing, now. I also vote for shirtless guitar.

And Skarsgard.... *drool*
He was seriously fantastic in Generation Kill, too. Loved that series.
He actually makes me like Eric in the books better.

Edit: Chylise, good choice for top pic.  Very timely since I ordered KOTOR today online to find out what all this Carth chatter is about.   It was shockingly hard to find.  Amazon is selling it for a like a billion dollars.  Collectible?

They could put Alexander Skarsgaard in an a chair and film him shifting uncomfortably in silence ... or reading really bad poetry (lymrics, even!) for hours, and I would watch that show.  He's that beautiful.

... even more so with his shirt off.  </shiver>

Pretty much. Here, have a Skarsgard present from me (umm, possibly minorly NSFW?).

Ahem, back to Kaidan. I can definitely get behind (and everywhere else) piano-playing Kaidan, oh my.

Probably just the boxed version, yeah. Steam has KOTOR for like $5 or something silly (I am okay with this because. Carth.)

Why ty.

Steam has KOTOR for $10, I don't know why it's so hard to find?

@leborum I think you can buy it cheap from Steam if you play on PC. I bought it way back when it came out on the original xbox in 2003 for my boys and still use the same copy. :)

EDIT: 'd multiple times lol.

woodcarving works :P  though I still like scrimshaw, due to the whole connection with the exploring and navy :)

It's Sara Douglass' Wayfarer Redemption trilogy.

Just put them on my kobo. Adding them to the pile of books I still need to read, including Drew Karpyshyn's newly released Revan book. *hears a chorus of booing throughout the thread* I know, I know. :P

It would be nice if Kaidan and the some other ME squaddies got "origin story" novels. =]

It's old, so no one must want to play it anymore, right?

A lot of stores/companies/whatever seem to hold this view in general.  I've never understood why.

I get the hands thing, definately.

But now I am having visions of Kaidan wearing various plaid flanel button up shirts. And for some reason wolverine is in mixed up in my thoughts as well. After that statement I just typed, now wolverine is leering behind a corner of said log cabin while Kaidan chops wood. I should not be allowed to have thoughts or just not allowed to share them.

Edit: Hearing about trying to find copies of KOTOR makes me sooo happy I grew up in a house hold of mainly nerds (almost put manly nerds, even though that is the situation). I have my hard copies of KOTOR and KOTOR2 thank the lord and have hooked my younger cousin on them.

Ugh, I've never understood that. Like how Gamestop won't carry games for any system made before XBOX/PS2/Gamecube. Some of us still want those games!

Of course, there are some companies that cling to their past games and won't let go. That's why instead of making new Final Fantasy games, Square-Enix keeps remaking older ones on new consoles, (seriously, I have four different versions of Final Fantasy IV) along with spinoffs of their more popular titles. (The FInal Fantasy VII compilation is up to, what, five or six additions now?)

I'm sure it's just hardcopies of KOTOR that are hard to find, since they're not produced anymore, so people sell them used for insane prices.

You are a weird and wonderful individual and should definitely tell us anything at all that manifests in your mind.;)

Re the trailer: Chill pill people, Ashley wasn't really featured in trailers either. I would like to hear the collective squeeing of this thread if Kaidan does have a speaking part though.

I ended up getting it for like $15 plus shipping, used of course.  I know it's generally considered lame in the BSN to prefer console to PC, but my television is new and huge and awesome, and I love my xbox.

I'm pretty excited about it.  Every one still has really good things to say about it even though it's like 8 years old now.  Maybe it'll give me a little distraction until March.

omigod.  There would be so much squee.  And I would totally be a part of it.

My dad has a physical PC copy of KOTOR that my boyfriend gave him for christmas (and of course the same boyfriend is responsible for my steam copy XD)

Supposedly, my dad also has the physical PC copy of KOTOR 2 but it's nowhere to be seen, derp. (I can find all the other older pc games in my parents' basement ... of which are mostly Bioware ... yeah, got a bioware problem that passed to me.)

I got into vamps when Anne Rice starting writing her vampire series. I also loved her Beauty books. Yummy erotica is yummy. :innocent: Twilight was okay for me until book 4. I returned it after I read it. If I want a Mary Sue tale I can find it on the internet for free. /strong opinion

Fistbump for Anne Rice.  I started the vampire interest young - I remember loving The Count on Sesame Street.   Then in high school got into Forever Knight and Anne Rice, and that is how it goes.  I would want to read Twilight, just to see if it's as bad as they say - but I would never want to buy the books (and I don't torrent).  I udnerstand the RiffTrax are great for the films.

Hm, Kaidan's hidden talent.  Something with cooking heh.  Biotics gotta eat.  =]

^They are bad. You get to read how beautiful Bella thinks Edward is every 10 pages for approx. 3 1/2 pages.
In fact, pretty much all of Bella's inner monologue is cringe worthy. Which in throughout all the books. A lot.

And the last book and its whole story is just a steaming pile of crappy fan fiction. Edward and Jacob may as well of been riding unicorns farting rainbows.

*fistbumps Pax of Doom* I loved Lestat in the books, but I thought the movies were a sad, sad thing. D: If you want to read the Twilight books, just get them from the library...totally free. :)

@Batteries Reading the Twi books actually gave me a boost of confidence as a hobby writer. :P

I agree with Batteries. Stephenie Meyer owes me 6 hours of my life back that I spent reading the last one. It made me like the first three less too.

Maybe he bakes Kaidan cookies? I always wonder where our seemingly endless supply comes from.

EDIT:  I don't know what happened.  I could post images yesterday.  Apparently I lost that ability overnight.

So just copy and paste into your browser and imagine he has a guitar near by as well
