Garrus was one of my Shepard's best friends in ME1 and was part of my A team, along with Kaidan of course, lol. But my 2 main Shepard's are totally PO'd with him in ME2 so no romance was ever going to happen on that front, lol. Not to mention that anything with teeth and claws like that are so not getting near Shepards soft human skin and the resulting rash would be too annoying in armour on the battlefield, lol.
I get that people find Garrus' romance sweet and adorable but I just find it cheesy and sleazy (not trying to offend anyone here, just stating my pov). The romances in ME2 seem more like booty calls to me and don't seem to have the depth that the Kaidan one had, for me anyway.
Miranda's certainly felt like only a booty call:P my male shep left Miranda and went for Tali. But yes I have to agree most of the ME2 romances feel like booty calls.

I'm sure it would have been easier for me to have multiple playthroughs and other LIs in ME2, if it weren't for Kaidan being sidelined, but I'm stubborn. For whatever it's worth (probably not much), I've never touched a romance in ME2, on any character, and it will stay that way until I see how things end up in ME3. Honestly, I have always felt like it was most appropriate for my Shepard to be alone and isolated, while working for Cerberus. Having a romance in ME2 feels like a "reward" that I don't feel is deserved, even after the suicide mission, if that makes any sense.
I don't really blame the ME2 LIs for not being what I was looking for...I mean, they can't all be Kaidan Alenko...

Eh, I have reasons for not loving any of the ME2 romances that were available to FemSheps, that could fill a book, but I also know that my perception is colored by liking Kaidan, and not having him available for metagame reasons in ME2. I took his character for granted until I was told that I couldn't have him.

EDIT:
it was already close to midnight when I realized I hadn't done a daily drawing, so I decided to do the last two pieces of the first batch of Shenko Tweets one after the other and cover the next daily drawing as well
some batches will be longer, others might only be two drawings ... you'll see ... next one will be a short intermission because I decided to get rid of the shoes and draw toes instead
anyway, here are the last two pics: sorry to disappoint those who had hoped for some real action
I was randomly looking through old pages and this is just so adorable
And does anyone know if it's possible to get banned for saying "F*** Bioware"

Mordin was like my second favoritte character and his voice made him... why Bioware why?

....zilch.... OH GOD WHY DID THEY CHANGE MORDIN'S VOICE ACTOR!?!?!? I HATE THEM ALL, WAAAA!! *runs away crying*

umm lol I am not sure. I'd just swear in the Mordin Group, you won't get banned there.
Kaidan can shoot someone if it makes you feel better?

Or Shirtless Kaidan Dance?
Also about Mordin, I honestly don't feel Woo's post was a confirmation that Michael Beattie won't be returning as Mordin. I really want Michael Beattie back to voice Mordin but based on Woo's position as a Mod, I think his action was the politically correct thing to do. He says in his post "we even have a thread discussing Mordin's original voice actor" because it doesn't comfirm anything, Michael Beattie was Mordin's original Voice Actor, no one can deny that.
If he said, "we even have a thread discussing Mordin's Voice Actor in ME3" I know a lot of people including me would be ecstatic. Though here is the issue, if he confirms it on these boards and they end up changing his VO or he lied or was wrong etc, etc, than the rage on these forums about the issue would increase ten folds. Woo is most likely not able to discuss if Michael Beattie would be returning, if he knows at all. Remember Voice acting is the first and last thing you do in development.
Just don't give up hope yet! We still have time to get Michael Beattie as Mordin's Voice actor. Just keep making your voice heard and show that fans want him to return. If he doesn't in the end then you know you tried you best. If he doesn't return there is definitely something we the fans don't know that prevented Michael Beattie from getting the role, and that is sadly out of our control.
Anyways to summarize don't give up!
Sorry for the off-topicness, I now return you to your regular scheduled Kaidan programming. <3

Thus proving the universe is unfair, unjust, and plain old MEAN.
I did a few ME2 romances, but share the sentiment that they're lacking. Maybe because they weren't focused, or developed over the whole game as they were in ME1. Though I rather like the Garrus one - I snicker at his Leisure Suit Larry impersonation, and dig his sentiment of trying to find something nice when you're leading an effed up life in an effed up world. Yet, no Sheps romanced him - the one I was going to ended up with Thane.
A bit OT, but here's hoping they get Michael Beattie back! He was perfect! He sold Mordin, made him real and lovable.
Kaidan whining about his headaches: Ah yes, "whining"... Really, that's the only thing they can pin on him as a negative?! I

Man Kaidan's had it tough. Bro code dictates, in mass effect3, My MaleShep is taking him to an Omega stripclub.
edit: I never understood why people thought Kaidan was "whiny". The guy's a rock, he's got so much crap to deal with but he just takes it and does his job. the only reason we even get into those conversations where people might say he's whiny is because we initiated the conversation.

Thanks, Jill, I'll try to hope that they'll still bring Beattie back. :') And Kaidan shooting someone would make me feel better, especially if it was The Illusive Man... but I'll try not to rant or complain anymore, it doesn't help anyone(especially Beattie) when I do. Optimistic from now on!

I think Kaidan, Carth, and Alistair spoiled me for other gaming romances so far. None of the romances in ME2 (or DA2) came close to those 3 for me. I liked certain characters in both of those games but not enough to feel totally absorbed in the characters, if that makes sense.
I totally agree. (Well, at least for Kaidan and Alistair - I'll get back to you on Carth once I play kotor) I mean, I did the DA2 romances, and I had a Shepard who hooked up with Garrus (it was sweet, but awkward), but none of them really captured my attention. I just think the relationship with Kaidan is so emotionally complex and has the possibility to be really amazing with the pending reunion in ME3.

i'd recommend paying more attention than i do as to itunes playlists when listening to it, im still jumpy and laughing at myself
I've read through the mammoth spoiler script for me3 and it inspired me to do another couple of playthroughs of me2, one for kaidan, one for garrus (though it may end up being 2 for kaidan lol) as i really like the romance script for both (presuming bw dont change it). But then i decided that the kaidan playthrough of me2 should involve another playthrough of me1 too! I always tell myself im going to do all the side missions, but i never seem to be able too, i encounter one mission with husks or the thorian zombie chaps and my nerves fall apart and i cant do any more of them
So i was wondering, do you guys do all the side missions in me1 and if so howd you get over the creepiness factor? i've tried turning off the music and playing itunes instead but its not helping as much as it does for me2
*edit* seems im in a rambling mood today, apologies for that

Shotgun. That thing destroys thorian creepers in an epic explosion of goo.
I was scared to death of the thresher maw, and it took me three playthroughs to tackle one. Consequently, I missed some of the more interesting Cerberus plots in ME, and was confused for ME2. I definitely recommend trying to get them done. Except for the stupid collection quests: valuable minerals, matriarch's writings, league of one, etc. I
saw no appreciable benefit of completing those.

Really?! They're both good? Yay!
The spoiler temptation is starting to wear me down. Stupid beta leak.
