And found the casual setting.
In fact, I'd love it if they could make an ME2 comic, so I can import my Shepards directly without actually having to go on a space scavenger hunt for companions. I am missing me some Kaidan and I strongly feel another playthrough coming on, but I don't know if I wanna deal with those stupid Collectors again.
Edit: This page needs some Kaidan.

Why play ME2 before ME1? Some people find ME1 gameplay... rather slow, and planetary exploration taking long runs on not perfect landscape. ME2 has more fast pacing gameplay. I won't say I've played ME2 before ME1 or recommend doing that, but I've seen people playing exclusively ME2.
EDIT: Oh, difficulty settings... I remember my first ME2 run - cold start (no shooter practice recently), Vanguard, without knowing maps layout or order of enemy appearance, without knowing when to charge, without anything. On Veteran. You know, I totally understand Shepard not being able to put two words together on Horizon - previous battle left me with shaking hands and headache.

I can't understand why people don't play me1 before me2 (except for the ps3 ofc), i mean i was late to the franchise, i bought me1 and 2 together as a steam deal a while back. If i hadn't have played 1 first, i wouldn't have been anywhere near as engrossed with the story and the characters as i am. Me1 to me captured the whole wonder of being in space, i loved the early scenes with ash and kaidan all just wandering about the normandy and the citadel being stunned, because it was exactly how i felt. Me1 sets the feeling and the story, me2 is a good fun romp with biotic charges and mad sidekicks.
I played ME2 before ME1 - I had been a huge DA franchise fan and saw ME2 on the shelf at a store one day, and figured "why not, I've liked all the Bioware games I've tried so far!" so I was a total noob to the story and didn't understand most of what was going on, but I liked it so much that finishing ME2 made me want to go back and play the whole franchise the right way, so I bought ME1, fell in luuuurve with Kaidan, and imported to ME2, where I stayed loyal to him :3 ... so I did it in kind of a backwards way, but I did grow to love the franchise and am now a bigger fan of ME than DA! I would agree overall that ME2 is much better when you've played through ME1 (not to mention the crap default options ME2 gives you when you start without an import)

This very much! I think I've done like 7 playthroughs in ME1 but have only been able to finish one of those imported characters for ME2. I just hate the lack of Kaidan in ME2. Honestly, one of the biggest reasons I'm looking forward to ME3 is because we finally get Kaidan back.

It took me ages to play ME1, I resisted it for the longest time because it involved shooting, lol. I found my first playthrough as a soldier pretty boring, but the story had sucked me in enough that I did a 2nd playthrough as an adept and was totally hooked. I can;t be without biotics in any of my playthroughs now. I've lost count of how many playthroughs I've actually done over the years, lol. I was never able to do a playthrough where I could resist Kaidan and my Shepard stayed single so had to use the comic for that in ME2. I really, really hate that comic, lol.

I only completed it a few months ago then I got ME2 straight after. So I guess you could say I'm new to the ME series, since I recently only finished both games.
When I first tried ME...I wasn't a big fan (which was only because I didn't know hardly anything about it at the time)
My frustration got the better of me I guess.I assumed I wouldn't ever finish the game and (almost) traded it in:blush: but I'm glad I didn't.!
After completing the first one,I fell in love with the series and it's worldly characters<3

I had honestly never heard of ME until my brothers actually suggested I play since I was really into Fallout. This was a couple of months before ME2 came out so there was a lot of hype going on about the game. Bought ME1, fell in love with Kaidan and the rest is history. Waiting for ME3 has been torture! I need my Kaidan fix!

*boots up 360*
Me: Okay, this game is gonna rock, and maybe my hubby will get off my back for my 7 playthroughs of DA2!
*after Eden Prime and the Citadel, I head to Feros*
Me: Dammit, why does that glowing ability one shot me? And why are they making me walk the entire way to Exo-Geni HQ? This is going to take forever!
*forever later*
Me: WHY DO I KEEP DYING!!!!!!?!?!??!
*returns to the exo-geni employee hold out camp*
Lizbeth: Stop the rover!
Me: What Rover, you whacko? I've been walking the entire time!
The Mako: Appears out of nowhere.
Me: YOU COULD DRIVE THE ENTIRE WAY THERE?! WTFFFFFFFF!
*fighting the refugees*
Me: Why do I only get 5 grenades? And why do you guys keep shooting the colonists?! Didn't I tell you not to?! *punches a couple colonists*
*flirting with Kaidan on the Normandy*
The Husband: Why are you romancing that guy? God he's boring.
Me: Why, did you romance Ashley?
The Husband: Hell no! I romanced Liara!
Me: Does that mean you saved Kaidan on Virmire?
The Husband: No, he got smoked.
Me:
*playing the rest of the game*
Me: Screw this, I'm putting this on Casual.

I'm having a hard time finishing ME2 myself. Tester!FemShepard, Canon!FemShepard, and Renegon!DudeShepard made it to the end. However...
-Canon!FemShep needs to go through again because I missed a ton of stuff
-Paragon!FemShep needs to finish her Thane romance PT
-Paragon!DudeShep needs to finish his Samara romance PT
-Renegon!DudeShep needs another go around because he romanced Tali and I found it creepy, so I need to go back and have him romance Kelly
-Miscellaneous!FemShep may or may not go through ME2 as my Cheater!Shep. She's still in ME1 and I'm undecided
I just don't care for the "Go recruit this person and make them love you!" feel of ME2. That's what it feels like you're doing 90% of the time. I don't like it, no sir.

Holy hannah, this! Except, I could never get the hang of melee, and ended up shooting colonists when I meant to whack them. And didn't get the hang of grenades, so I wasted all 5 before getting to the main area of colonists.
If we're talking about fun ME playthrough stories: Picture it, ME2 released. I was pretty spoiler-free playing through. I was hooked up to a 24-hour heart monitor at one point. The doctor said to do normal activities, so playing video games fit into "normal", right? That night I did a mission on a planet called Horizon. Totally sucked with the Scion - hardcore sucking, garden-hose variety IYKWIM. Repeated deaths, and getting pi**ed! FINALLY get through the fight, I'm all happy because yay Kaidan, and then...
Kaidan!?
Wasn't until after I shut the computer down for the night, feeling really really pi**ed off, that I remembered - heart monitor! /FACEPALM When I went for the follow up, I remember sputtering some apology in case there was weird activity reflected in the test. Don't think anything showed, but for a moment...
Then the following week went for an endoscopy, and woke up in the middle of the procedure really pi**ed at Garrus because of his calibrations. Nurses give weird looks when you wake up unexpectedly.
/my mind is a scary place

I don't remember ever seeing any marketing for the game, I just saw it sitting there on a shelf in gamestop and went out and rented it first because while it looked cool, it may not of been for me.
I bought it a couple days later.
I got Dragon Age Origins not long after I got ME2 on release, which wasn't too terribly long after its release either. I knew a lot of game plots though, like the Dark Ritual that made me lmao the whole time at Alistair. Got DAII on release day.

From me, managed to add lashes to the model, though there's still minor clipping. Maybe I should copy the mesh from Sheploo instead of Marge, but OH WELL. Since now I know how to do that, there won't be a problem if I find a better weighted source
Also, a demo of new specular maps - goal to finish today's evening. Toughest part are those ugly seams on the scalp/neck. Yeah, face texture is 1024pix while scalp and hair tex is 512 >_> Clickie:

Kaidan's assets belong to BW and EA, I own nothing.
