Throwing in my vote for DragonCon! I've never been to a geeky con, but I'm definitely not missing it next year.

It is so wonderful for Jacqui to come in here and talk to us. Especially since this place is filled with unending pictures of Kaidan and our silent, typed out swoons. If I wasn't a big fan of Kaidan I might think we were a little weird. But I think we are one the calmest character threads in the ME3 forums and we all get along most of the time. So welcome Jacqui to our humble Kaidan thread! Where topics range from Kaidan's chest hair to power rangers!

I would love him to be at New York Comic Con. I would definitely go. I would make myself a dumb shirt with like a hair bump on it and some kind of awesome slogan.

I can't understand why people don't play me1 before me2 (except for the ps3 ofc), i mean i was late to the franchise, i bought me1 and 2 together as a steam deal a while back. If i hadn't have played 1 first, i wouldn't have been anywhere near as engrossed with the story and the characters as i am. Me1 to me captured the whole wonder of being in space, i loved the early scenes with ash and kaidan all just wandering about the normandy and the citadel being stunned, because it was exactly how i felt. Me1 sets the feeling and the story, me2 is a good fun romp with biotic charges and mad sidekicks.

Just had a conversation recently with someone my husband works with who picked up Mass Effect at ME2 and was thinking about whether or not to play ME1. I was like, "Do it. The story is so worth it!" But apparently a lot of the guys my husband works with are all telling him not to bother with ME1. It makes me sad.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE both ME1 & 2 for multiple reasons, but the story needs to be fully explored to be understood and I can't imagine not having the immersion that I got because I played ME1 first.

Silent swoons...? Oh mine are so not silent. I swooned out loud so hard when I first saw Kaidan on Horizon. I am glad my husband was at work at the time. He would have been so very jealous.

Am I the only one who has actually found the Praetorian battle on Horizon easier on Veteran than on Normal? Heck, I'm pretty sure I had a harder time taking down the husks on my Vanguard's Insanity play through than I did with the Praetorian. That thing sure kicked my butt on my first play through though. Oh my word!

If I go to any conventions, it'll be DragonCon in ATL.  It's close and I get down there a lot to visit my brother.  I might have to go incognito that weekend though or he will make merciless fun of me.  I try to keep my nerd flag under wraps.

Sorry xD I never knew, but you do make an awesome agent! 

AND YES!! I love conventions(lol I'm a nerd, cosplaying as Shepard next year with 9 other ME cosplayers)  having Sbarge at a con would just be so freaking amazing

DragonCon! It's only a 40 minute drive for me  DragonCon is a blast but if Raphael was there for 2012 that would just make my year.

Regrading Raphael at cons: The suggestions are awesome! If you have time, I always also suggest that fans send polite, helpful little emails to conventions, expressing their interest in seeing specific guests. Let them know there's a fanbase out there that will come out to geek out on their favorite people!

And Jacqui, what do you say about the Craft a Gift thing?  Isaac still working on the main layout before we can show you what you plan to do, but do you think the plan is ok?  Or does it sound stupid?  And do you think it's possible to mail it, or should someone just take it to a con and give all the gifts and stuff to him?  Or does the whole thing just sound weird? 

Edit: I ask because you actually know him and you aren't a insane fan, so you can see it from human point of view (yes, we're all crazy, the squeeing we did at the letter was enough evidence:whistle: lol, sorry everyone, at least we're all crazy together? lmao)

Is there a Con in Pittsburgh? I live here and have never heard of one. Which I feel I would have considering that my brother is the biggest nerd I have ever met (other than my dad who is an old school nerd that has sported a pocket protector).

Edit: There is one! In April! Now I can nerd out and not have to drive six hours to NYC (but more excuses to go up there the better).

Hiya Jacqui, welcome. That would be fantastic,  but I'm not sure how esteemed he would be at the idea of flying all the way to a place with a population of 4 million. There might be more sheep at the convention.
