COME ON!  He's not Kaidan  I'm sad now. Maybe we'll get something for Kaidan and Ash after ME3 is out. Please Bioware don't crush my dreams of some day having some sort of Kaidan apparel

I find in me2 i don't very often use Miranda, generally because i either have overload or biotic powers myself, her leadership thing is cool, but on tough missions she seems to get ripped to pieces. I always like to bring along a biotic heavyweight like Jack, or failing that someone with at least throw field (i like to go husk bowling). Do you reckon bioware will be nice and give kaidan shockwave? or at least a throw field? I'm a bit concerned they might give him miranda's powers lol.

Throw field most likely. He had that in ME1, after all (if you chose to spec him that way).

YES!  I *love* reave.  I almost always take that as my extra power.  It's like instant death once you evolve it.  Mwah ha ha!

And I usually use shockwave to go husk bowling, but throw field would work pretty well too, wouldn't it?

Delurking for a moment...I've been following the thread for a couple of days now... Does anybody else miss the Lift ability from ME1. I play Vanguard as CanonShep...both she and Kaidan could lift geth armatures...teehee bonus exp for getting out of the Mako lifting an armature and shooting it to bits...my husband thought it was a cool tact to use...of course the poor Mako was always used as cover. But I just thought about that...pull replaced lift and I was not as happy with the ability as I was with the lift one...though I must say charge was very effect...

As for Kaidan's abilities it will be interesting to see...just out of curious for world mechanics does the type of implant a biotic have affect what type of biotic powers they can harness or is it just a way to convert their abilities more effectively? In other words can all biotics have potential to learn reave or do they have to have the right implant or whatever? Food for thought...

Personal preference for his abilities:
Barrier (shield booster yes please)
Lift/Throw (because well I like bowling and combining these abilities would be fun)
Reave (healing and hurting enemies at the same time with extra sugar on top)

Just my opinion though no need to go spreading it around (thank you, Joker)

Throw works pretty well against the husks, but it's not nearly as much fun as shockwave, lol. I don't mind slam either, it's quite satisfying to use against those damn pyros.

Seriously? Oh hells yeah! I was hoping he'd have warp but honestly as long as it strips armour I'll take it. Ooh, and reave stuns organics in a standing position making them such easy targets. The only biotics I use in ME2 are warp, charge, and reave really because otherwise by the time I get past their defenses the enemies are so weak I don't see the point in biotics. Except for the occasional shockwave to clear out some of the husks that have already been stripped, that is, but normally even if I'm getting mobbed I'll just escape by using charge. Oh well, I'm still ridiculously excited Kaidan gets reave... probably too excited but I'll blame that on the fact that it's a bit after 8 in the morning and I just pulled an all nighter on a paper.


Ahh... ME1. I'm replaying it and Kaidan, Wrex, and I are frakkin' dominating insanity with throw and lift. It's total carnage.  It kinda makes me wish biotics worked that well in ME2.

Since Kaidan is a sentinel, he should have both warp and overload for ME3, right? Or is ME3 changing that up? Those powers are the most useful to me since I play on insanity, but I guess it doesn't really matter since I also usually play a sentinel anyway. Reave would be a fun addition, though.

I guess if they made him proficient with assault rifles, seeing him with one in cut scenes won't be so weird...

As useful as they both are, I find the playstyle to dull and too boring (me being adept). The most fun & expert demolition I had in Me2 was when I teamed myself with Mordin and Grunt. Pew pew!

Vanguard Shep needs Kaidan to keep Overload, so I hope that one remains. I would love him to have Reave instead of Warp (because I love Reave, too!). And he needs to keep Lift and Throw. Pull is no fun, unless it were actually more like Scorpion's "Get over here!" move, and then I could follow up with a shotgun blast to their face!

Pull should actually pull them directly toward you, not just pull them slightly forward into the air somewhere.

And then you can stab them with your omni-blade.

I hope Kaidan does have Miranda's powers.  Warp and Overload are super useful.  I ended up taking her everywhere with me in my first playthough and I really hated like her, but if it were Kaidan instead...



(note: Miranda actually grew on me a lot.  I am not dissing any other characters here)
