It seems like most of the people who are really upset about the spoilers are taking a break from the forums. Most of us left are either tentatively optimistic that that's just a rough draft and the final version has been tweaked, were never all that worried about it, or are un-spoiled (and would like to remain that way).

There's a couple groups where they're discussing spoilers: Fight For the Love Spoiler Discussion and this other more general spoiler group.

OK! I'm back. Forgive my tardiness, please. Not to be a big bummer, but I spent most of this week at the hospital due to a family emergency. BUT, here I am. And Raphael and I wanted to bounce something off you all before we go crazy with it.

So the Christmas surprise? Is going to be auctioning off personalized MP3s from Raphael, to you (or your sister, wife, girlfriend, husband, boyfriend, brother, whatevs). The nitty-gritty:

-- All moneys raised will go to GreenWish, the environmental charity that Raphael founded.

-- The MP3s will be delivered via email by Christmas.

Our question: What type of message do you think people would want?

GREETING FROM RAPHAEL TO WINNER: "Hi, this is Raphael Sbarge, saying hi to [Bob/Bobbi]."

MESSAGE TO USE AS YOUR OUTGOING MESSAGE: "Hi. You've reached [Bob/Bobbi]. S/he can't come to the phone right now..."

I've never understood why people need to make their LI's rival a horrible person. Heck, even BioWare did it with ME in game, to an extent. The Ashley/Kaidan and Liara showndown shows the VS being "p*ssy and unreasonable", while Liara is all understanding and compliant. And then in ME2, Ashley/Kaidan are shown "throwing a hissy fit" while the new LIs are waiting with understanding open arms. Even Liara is more calm and understanding when she sees Shepard on Illium (of course, she does have insider information, she was the one who gave Shepard's body to Cerberus, after all.) I've never romanced her, but I heard she's a bit more understanding of you choosing a new LI, even though she does mention something about them in LotSB, and you can hookup with her again.

Making the rival "act like a villain" makes sense only when it's in character for said character. Like Anders in DA2, he gets jealous of Fenris/Merrill and tries to convince Hawke to be with him instead, so being portrayed as jealous and always cutting down the competition works for him. But Ashley/Kaidan? They're upset, but they're not abusive/manipulative/villainous characters. But some people don't want to see the VS' point of view on Horizon and ignore all the evidence of Cerberus planting seeds of distrust and spreading rumors just so they can tear down Shepard's former lover. (and why would you romance them if you just want to dump on them later?)

I have managed to hang in this thread without being spoiled for about 100 pages now (not including lurk time). It's seriously the only thing I read. And I *love* it. I encouraged the unspoiled to come back into the fold. And here, for fun, have a Kaidan:

3) Although I do not like babies, I'm pretty sure after a few years of kicking galactic ass, Shep will want to settle down a bit. Although I don't see her retiring planetside, I'm pretty sure she and Kaidan will have at least one beautiful baby that can stay in the Normandy's nursery. Note that if it is male or female, the baby's middle name *will* be "Ashley"

So far, this seems really well done.  Love the art.  It's really well drawn.  And Kaidan is, in fact, a sexy beast .   I definitely feel the emotion, too.  The dialogue expansion is pretty close to what I imagined in my headcannon anyways.  I'll catch up on the last 6 chapters in a bit. 

But to the antiKaidan comments.  I get it, I guess.  But I've resolved my Kaidan issues, and moved on.  I suppose the BSN errupts with pretty much the same every 3 days.  We shouldn't be surprised.

That's why I tend to stick to this thread.  Sunshine and rainbows!

Sad truth is that most player's see that Shepard is like a divine being and that everyone should kiss the ground (s)he walks on, and when some one disagrees with Shepard they go straight to the "kill list" they can't stand some one disagreeing with them, I don't blame the VS (Kadain for the sake of this thread) for diagreeing with Shepard its his right to disagree with Shepard

I actually love The Spectre and Archangel comic. I get excited when she updates. Ersbeth is very cool person, she messages me a lot over Deviantart and fanfic.net. She actually really likes Kaidan, she just hates Bioware's pen. She almost comments on almost every single Mass Effect picture I do. Her fans are a different story. I just completely ignore the comments people post under her stuff. If I didn't, I might reply to everyone saying "**** you. That is all."

I'm not holding it against the artist that she has some mean-spirited fans, it's not her fault. They wouldn't bother me so much if they said "I don't really care for Kaidan's character, I prefer Garrus as an LI" rather than "ZOMG that Kaiden is such a dick Garrus should beat/shoot him". I mean, the latter just makes them sound like immature fangirls.

We need some happy Kaidan...

Oooh, this! I can't do this, because I'm flat broke at the moment, but it would be awesome. Definitely something about being busy saving the galaxy.
