I agree with the others about the outgoing message of saving the galaxy = awesomeness!

But ah, this seems like an awesome gift! srsly. Anything is fine with me really, but if I had to choose, I'd love the outgoing message! I'd love Raphael telling everyone that I'm out saving the galaxy. 

As for other topics........... lemme just say, if you can't fangirl/boy your favorite character/LI without bashing another one, you need to rethink yourself. Kaiden may be emo, but certainly not Kaidan...

Thanks Jacqui, and I hope the family emergency wasn't anything too serious.  You and Raphael are doing so much for the fans and words fail me when it comes to saying something to express my appreciation.

Damn, now I'm going to spend all night trying to think of something Kaidan-y for a message.

The whole anti-Kaidan comments, especially with people who moved on to Garrus/other LI, I hate to be mean but sometimes I feel that half of these people have never had a proper relationship or even an argument with a partner, to get so ****slapped over something like that.

I can understand people wanting to move on if they decide that Kaidan isn't who they want but it's the sheer hate I just dont get.. Or if it's for gamepley reasons, or they see it as a "dumping scene",
again I get it but it's the comments that swarm anything to do with the
VS/Horizon.



I dont really like some of the other PC's but I dont go on pictures of them or fanfics and let out my annoyance

Since I don't own a phone to get a message... I would want him to send me an MP3 solely saying "I'm Kaidan Alenko and this favorite ---(something funny or random, idk) in the galaxy" ... or something like that  I'm mostly just happy to help charity <3(I'm a total 'save the planet' type of person)

And yeah, hope your family gets better D:


Edit: OR... I would donate for him make a MP3 saying "I'm Raphael Sbarge and this is my favorite fanbase on the Citadel."   xD for all the kaidan fans <3

Agreed. I know several people who have a Kaidan>Garrus Shepards, but they do it for role playing reasons or to see what will happen if Shepard moves on. Which I agree with and respect. I don't think I can do it because I will probably chicken out half way through. But I can't stand the Kaidan is the evil ex crap.

If you hate Kaidan and don't think he is the right love interest for your Shepard then DON'T ROMANCE HIM!! I have one Shepard with Kaidan. Uno. Singular. Every other Shepard I have didn't romance him. Every other Shepard I had friend zoned him because he wasn't right for them and I had other plans for them. If I can manage to get through ME1 with swooning (and believe its hard) people who don't like Kaidan can do it easily.

I don't blame Kaidan for what happened at Horizon. The reaction was to be expected. Losing the one they love is painful beyond what I can guess. And lets be honest. When some one close to you die, you don't expect them to come back to life again. That Kaidan tried to move on during those two years was a good thing. He shouldn't stop living his life only to hope that Sheppard would return from the dead. Let be honest. That would have been stupid. But since that did happened, his reaction is to be expected. Because it wasn't just about Cerberus and trusting Sheppard. It was about the person he love standing right in front of him back from the dead. If any one think that the emotions would be easy to control in that moment is a fool. To see Seppard alive back from the dead after all those years is beyond what any of you can even hop to understand and feel.
I felt sorry for Kaidan that it all happened to him in that way.

Moving on from him because you felt that "he betrayed you or let you down" only shows a persons lack of understanding towards feelings, loyalty and emotions.

If you don't like what happened at Horizon blame that damn mupp who chose Sheppard's conversation lines <___< *shudders* Idiot was being an idiot.

Y'all talk about thing you hate from those who moved on?  This sentiment RIGHT HERE is what I hate from 100% loyalists.  He DID betray my Meghan and let her down.  He wouldn't listen to her (and if you pick your choices right, you can try to begin to explain to him what's going on), and walked away from her, dumping her.  So please don't tell me I don't understand "feelings, loyalty and emotions."  I believe I've amply demonstrated his side in at least one fic.

I know where he's coming from.  And I have three different Shepards with different relationships with him (romanced, moved on, friendship), but the constant high horse some of you get on about this sets my teeth on edge as well as the general sentiment that the player and Shepard are one and the same.  

Maybe I was wrong to try to come back.

most my Shepettes that did him in ME usually stay with him in one playthrough, 'manced Thane or Garrus (whoever I felt like at the time. except for Bubbles. she's Alenko Or Die.) in another run, or have the ultimatum of not being "faithful" in a running back into each other's arms slow mo while reapers blow up the background way.
they're done with the whole concept. they were with him, he left, shenanigans, that was all she wrote.

Kaidan has his faults and I think it's kinda wrong to ignore them or brush them aside. They're part of who is. Part of what makes him whole. The VS ME 2 cameo was a let down in that instead of showcasing "whoamg it's shep ILUUU!" we got Angreh!VS_Survivor. It was a hard thing to swallow and by the end of the scene the atmosphere is just angsty awkwardness. You can just hear the other companions go OOOOOOOOOOOoooo >.> In their heads of course haha.

I haven't read most posts due to lurking here and there but GaryStu-ing up Kaidan makes him into such a one dimensional character. Man's got layers! Layers!

We have no idea what Kaidan has been doing in the 2 years that Shepard was dead. He did tell Shepard in ME1 that if he didn't think they were doing the right thing he wouldn't be there, so why would he suddenly throw his principles out the window when Shepard suddenly reappears not only from the grave, but with Cerberus. Kaidan obviously had a mission to complete and there's no way his character would just abandon that for Shepard or anyone else.

I can totally understand his reaction. He was in shock and probably didn't even register half of what Shepard was derping. If my son suddenly reappeared I'd be overjoyed but then I'd be thinking WTF and it would take me a long time to get over that and accept that it really was him.

Some Shepard's moved on for a variety of reasons but to me it seems that the word 'betrayal' gets thrown around because he didn't kiss Shepards feet and follow her around like a good little lap dog. I guess it comes down to how you look at it but I don't see Horizon as a betrayal. For me personally the squadmate that betrayed my Shepard was Garrus, with Hackett and possibly Anderson thrown in that category for the moment as well.

Seriously though. :| Was definitely guilty of replaying Horizon to see if I had picked the wrong choices only to settle with that Shep loses her A-game when suddenly confronted with an upset lover she still loves.

Horizon totally left it up to the players. Move on, suffer through ME 2 with no lovin and pine for big K, etc. etc.

Since I'm on the top here this picture. I think this fits this time of the year and to be honest I would like ti see my Shep so relaxed with her Kaidan
