Same here. Every game I've ever played, if the character was name-able, she's got my name. Revan, Exile, Hawke, Shepard, Warden, even The Lotus Blossom from Jade Empire. I just can't help myself.

This.  As someone who struggles to draw a stick figure I have nothing but admiration for the artist, or any of the talented artists around here for that matter.  My kids grew up watching pokemon and playing the games so I'm well versed in a lot of the pokemon, lol. 

Hopefully the promised FemShep trailer will make an appearance soon and have lots of Kaidany goodness included.

Oh, the art's wonderful.  And I don't begruge the pop culture aspect.

It's just... the concept of other animals fighting other animals at the behest of humans that gets my knickers in a twist.  On one level, I can acknowledge it's a kid's game, on the other, I have to hug one of my dogs.  

Anyway.. uh... why wouldn't the femShep trailer include Kaidan?

I always thought it would of been interesting if Pokemon took a more mature theme with, well, older people or (older) teenaged kids that actually age. If Team Rocket was actually something frightening instead of being destroyed by a 10 year old. Twice.
Tthey're the only ones who actually did something disturbing by cutting off Slowpoke Tails in Silver/Gold though. I think that's the most violent thing ever done in the series.

But, uh, Kaidan. I don't see why FemShep Trailer wouldn't be at the VGAs, but it's still Spike.
maybe the trailer and gameplay will just be kinect controlled sex scenes to appease the manly men

I, for one, am also curious to see what they'll have to say about Halo here.

I know this is only loosely Kaidan related but I loved Raphael's work here! It will tug at your heart strings if you play KOTOR as a female character.

HA! My son made fun of me when he saw that I named my first Shepard, Tina. He was like "ooo, you're so original!" Nice to know I'm not the only one who does that

LMAO, I just noticed you sig, Kaidan Fan. A petition to get a Kaidan hoodie. Brilliant! And signed! I'd have to get three. One to wash, one to wear, and one to put behind vacuumed sealed glass display.

I never can play a character named after myself. It just feels weird to me. I've tried to make a character with my name and looks like myself. I played her for all of 5 minutes and deleted her.

I generally only go with a character named after myself if I can't think of anything else to call her, lol.  But this also depends on her last name, some names just don't go together, lmao.  In Shep's case I tried to come up with names that might suit her back ground, well before I just got to the point of calling her whatever name jumped into my head first, lol.  I think it also should go with the surname 'Alenko'  not that it ever entered my mind in character creation

I don't use my name when I come up with characters mainly because I find my name boring. I don't make characters that look like me because I see my face in the mirror enough, the point of games is to get away from the real world. haha

I named my femShep Erin because I wanted a gender neutral name for her and was having trouble coming up with something that sounded right to me. Then, I heard the opening song for The Waltons, an old show my parents were watching in the other room, and I remembered they had a daughter in the show named Erin and I figured it would work. Not very creative on my part either.

She was my third playthrough and was meant to be single but I found she couldn't resist Kaidan. (My canon PCs seem to develop personalities contrary to what I originally plan for them -glares at my Warden who started it-) I got all disappointed when I realized that meant her name ends with the same sound as her LI's because I try to avoid little things like that, but it was too late to change by then.

Yeah my canon Shep probably had at least 6 or 7 Shepards created before her, lol. Her name is Jade because I didn't have the patience to fiddle around with the character creator or with names at the time of her creation so default 'Jane' got changed slightly. Mary Sue was actually the last Shep I created last year, before my pc decided that it would no longer run ME1, and she basically started as a joke but I've become really attached to her, lol.

I'll be honest. My son talked me into playing ME1. He kept raving about how AWESOME it was. So I made "Tina" thinking I would spen an hour playing her and never touch the game again cuz it was a "shooter" and I SUCK at shooters. Boyo...was I ever wrong, LOL!  I am on my 8th pt atm And no, I don't have more than one Tina, they all have different names  

@Meonlyred: Thanks for noticing AND signing! We prolly won't get one, but it doesn't hurt to try! Maybe if I posted more often or posted longer responses than I normally do it would get noticed more often and get more sigs. This is probably my longest post EVAR on here, lol.

I went with "Alyson" for my first attempt at femShep to accentuate her not-so-girly side, to make couple of references as "Alyson from Alliance" and "Alyson of Elysium". Plus some joking characters enjoy calling hothead Vanguard "Lyssie" and run for their life. She was initially planned to stay single - turns out, Alyson Shepard might become Alyson Alenko. Or Alyson 'Al-Al' Alenko


Edit: rest of my Shepards are:

Ingrid (Ruth) Shepard - after pop singer I cannot stand (this character was intended to be anti hero). Second name for being Butcher of Torfan - Ruthless Ruth, I'm old like dirt here.

Mona (Lisa) Shepard - for smile. Ingame justification - she never thought about first name before joining Alliance and then chose name basing on someone's souvenir cup.

Mark (John) Shepard - after Mark Vanderloo and Mark Meer.

Max (Theodor) Shepard - cuddly Teddy.

Ashley Shepard - as contradiction to Ashley Williams.

John Shepard - bland as hell, hence default name.

Angel Shepard - sunshine!!! butterflies!!! unicorns!!! disco!!!

Two newcomers are still in process, for now their names are Gabriela and Jordan.

Avery (I've had an Avery in an RPG since Avery "Revan" Skywalker), Meghan (named for my oldest niece who is now old enough to have her own facebook page and is making me feel ancient), and Rachel. I have a "tester" named Moira, but I also have a Warden by that name.

My canon FemShep is called Lola - 50's sci-fi influence, she's a closet punk. Earthborn. She's just for Kaidan..

Ramona, was the old version of Lola, but going to re-do her but as a colonist and her name is influenced by the same reason as above (I also called my Fallout 3 characters the same). She's going to be for Kaidan maybe or Thane.

My new Shep is called Atom, she's going to be renegade, I just love that name for a girl, she's a tom-boy, with a sense of humour.. Single for Vega.

I had numerous Shepards in ME1 but the ones I imported into ME2 are Jade, Mary Sue, Rachel, Hailey, Monica, & Maggie and are waiting for Kaidan. Lily and Emma are both single and made using the stupid comic. And my one lone Sheploo romanced Miri.

Yeah, I definitely have way too much time on my hands, lol.
