After seeing the pics of Kaidan on Pinnacle Station, I am reconsidering my decision not to buy it because it didn't sound like it had anything I'd find appealing... I'm not a shooter person, or competitve so the content didn't look like it was worth it. But you get an apartment? And Kaidan can go there? Hmmm...

LMAO, I just noticed you sig, Kaidan Fan. A petition to get a Kaidan hoodie. Brilliant! And signed! I'd have to get three. One to wash, one to wear, and one to put behind vacuumed sealed glass display.
I never can play a character named after myself. It just feels weird to me. I've tried to make a character with my name and looks like myself. I played her for all of 5 minutes and deleted her.
I never name my characters after myself. My name's alright but it's not punchy enough for a badass. My favorite characters are usually made to look like me. My alter-egos, as you will. Though, with different names, perhaps they are my split personalities.
The only ones who survived through ME1 and ME2 are:
Aurin Shepard (my canon) - Earthborn, Sole Survivor, Paragade Vanguard. This is the only character I really want to play anymore. Over and over and over.
Eve Shepard (yeah, glad I didn't name her Lilith after ME2 came out) - Colonist, Ruthless, mostly Renegade. She was an Engineer in ME1 and became a Sentinel in ME2. She was supposed to fall for Jacob after Horizon and Kaidan's abandoment but I somehow missed the romance prompt.
John Shepard (lazy with the dude name, but I did give him a custom appearance) - Spacer, War Hero, Paragon Infiltrator. Always focused on the mission at hand (i.e. very few side quests). Loves Ashley, but due to the circumstances had a one night stand with Miranda.
Aurin and Eve are usually completionist playthroughs. Eve really only exists so I can see the differences. Aurin I always roleplay with my actual personality.

It better have him since we clearly aren't getting any FemShep or Kaidan action figures. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/crying.png[/smilie] *cries for the unfairness of it all*
Am I the only one who thinks all of the current action figures look really good except for Shep, Miranda and Garrus? I like the Garrus one but his coloring seems off. I don't know if I'd like to see a Kaidan figure that didn't look 100% perfect, so I'm okay with not having one of him. A Spectre hoodie would be fabulous, though.

I have a pure renegade Sheploo, John, I've imported into 2 but I'm still on Garrus' recruitment. If I can get in gear and complete it before March then I'll probably take him through first. I have to import him at least once because he's my only playthough in which Ashley lives and I need some Ash in ME3.
If I can finish taking my canon back through ME1 and ME2 and get John ready for import in time, I have an idea for a xenophobic femShep, Leslie, that I think could be fun since it's completely different from how I normally play and a femShep, Reagan, that would stay single throughout the first two games. If Kaidan is announced as an LI for broShep in ME3 I'll make Evan Shepard for him. Yes, because I'm obsessed with character creators I have possible future Sheps named and waiting on Eden Prime despite not having time to play them yet.

Taryn (named after myself, of course): Brunette, brown eyes. Snarky Warrior Hawke (romances Sebastian), Paragade Infiltrator Shepard (romances Kaidan), Human Rogue Warden (romances Alistair), Light Side Scoundrel/Jedi Sentinel Revan (romances Carth), Light Side Jedi Sentinel/Watchman Exile (romances Atton).
Ellyria (after Illyria from Angel): Blonde/White hair, blue eyes. Aggressive Rogue/Mage Hawke (romances Fenris), Paragade Vanguard Shepard (romances Thane), Elf Warrior Warden, Dark Side Soldier/Jedi Consular Revan, Dark Side Jedi Sentinel/Sith Lord Exile.
Chylise (from the randomizer in WoW): Red hair, green eyes. Diplomatic Mage Hawke (romances Anders), Paragon Engineer Shepard (romances Kaidan and Thane), Human Mage Warden, Light Side Scout/Jedi Sentinel Revan, Light Side Jedi Guardian/Weapons Master Exile.
Alexander (because I like the name): Nothing set, just use him when I need a male PC.
And then two ME-only male characters:
John Shepard: default appearance, Paragade Adept, romanced Ashley until she died on Virmire, (tries to) romance Samara.
Sheploo Shepard: default appearance, Renegade Soldier, romanced Ashley until she died on Virmire, romances Kelly.
So Chylise is my goody-goody, Ellyria is my bad girl, and Taryn is my inbetween.
And all of my Shepards saved Kaidan.

You know that remembers me. I love the name Lilith and have several game characters named that. I almost named one of my original Shepards that. Then ME2 came out and we had Lilith the colonist. At first I was glad I hadn't named her Lilith, then I thought about it. Had I named her that, I would have audio of Kaidan saying her first name. A little recording and audio editing later and I could have Kaidan saying Shepard's full name.

@Chylise, I love that you have a Sheploo named Sheploo Shepard.
If we're going to bring Dragon Age into it (I can't remember my Revan's name)... Rogue Cousland is named Birgit and of course she married Alistair and became Queen. Mage human (I swear I'd made an elf, but I guess I changed my mind) is also Aurin. She made it all the way through the game, but as she didn't romance Alistair (and turning him down makes me so very sad), she didn't survive an import into DA2. All of my other DA:O characters didn't really make it past their origin stories. Right now I have a rogue Marion Hawke (stayed with Anders) and a mage Aurienne Hawke lined up for rivalmancing Fenris (I haven't finished with her yet). I don't know why I was having such a hard time coming up with a new name for my Hawkes. I'm thinking of another mage Hawke. Leaning toward Isolde, but because of Eamon's wife I think I may go with something else. She is supposed to rivalmance Sebastian but Act II religious Sebastian is kind of turning me off and deep down I love the idea of a mage Hawke and Anders romance.
BioWare sure makes some great characters, but Kaidian is my #1.
Edit: Aurin is my go-to character name inspired by my all-time favorite female literary character Aurian (book of the same name by Maggie Furey).

But I realized something. Revan believed that the Mandalorians did not start the war. And Shepard does not think the Rachni started their war...

I'm sorry... no... My Revan and Carth are happily reunited. Exile went and picked him up and she and Atton took him with to find her. Carth yelled at her for a while and got to call her a hairless Wookie and a nerfherder. They lived happily ever after. Everything in TOR is an alternate dimension.
Also... Carth no longer even sounds like Kaidan to me. How odd.

I never did name any of my Shepards after me. I feel odd using my real name for my shepards so I always choose different names, it helps me establish each character as there own person and create role-playing values for them.
I am by no means done creating my finished imports for ME3 (I want one for every romance at-least) but so far I have 5 Shepards and I will need to replay my canon one because she was my first Shepard and I know I missed stuff on her & I don't know what I did to her cheek bones, but they are way to high!
Oh question, will we able to edit our main Shepards in the character creator when we import them in ME3? I don't want to change everything about my first shepard, just her facial structure turned out odd and I want to fix it.
Anyways back to names, maybe its only me but I always like to find out the meaning of the name so I can kinda reflect a bit of his/her name meaning in each Shepard. Please tell me its not just me?
Anyways names...
(1) Arianna - her name I actually didn't look up. I was watching some show and one of the characters name's was Arianna and I loved the sound of it so I picked it. Though its funny her name means "very holy" and she is 100% paragon so I guess it did suit her.
(2)Gabriella- I loved the sound of this name too. I usually just call her gabby, which I interpret to be very talkative, that is how I see her in my head. I think her name means "God is my Strength". She is a colonist War Hero and despite everything she has been through she still keeps going so I think it suits her for the most part. Romanced Kaidan and moved on with Jacob in ME2, not sure who she will choose in ME3 yet.
(3)Alex(maleShep) - I was having a hard time choosing a name for him but eventually found this one and stuck with it after I saw the meaning "defender of the people" so I thought it was perfect for him! He is a spacer, war hero and 100% paragon, he always tries to do the right thing and always places others and his family above himself. (romanced Ashley and stayed loyal).
(4) Julius (maleShep) - This name took me about 5 seconds to come up with. When I was younger I used to watch this tv show called Delilah and Julius and they were secret agents and I loved Julius he was charming charismatic, funny, witty, and loyal. So I wanted this name for him! He is an earthborn warhero, doesn't really consider earth home (he romanced Liara and stayed Loyal).
(5)Roxanne - I wanted her to have an edgy name. I usually just call her roxy, her name means dawn so it has some really nice imagery associated with it. she's renegon and she has a ruthless and colonist background. She has a heart of Gold, her methods are to the point but in the end she usually won't take the easy way out, but always gets the job done. She does most of the Paragon big choices she just persuades and talks Renegade like. (left a romanced Kaidan on virmire because Ash was guarding the bomb so in her eyes bomb > salarians, is currently still heartbroken over Kaidan in ME2, she might move on to James in ME3 though).
I have no idea who I will import first, I probably will import Arianna if I find time to replay her before ME3. If not I will most likely import Roxanne because renegon is a lot of fun and I love this character to bits!
As you can see I honestly liked the ME1 romances far more than the ME2 ones.
EDIT: what is it everytime I post here I leave a wall of text?

I just noticed that all my Shepards have the Earthborn/War Hero background, lol. I guess it's what appeals to me the most.
FemSheps
Serena Shepard: Soldier in ME1 and vanguard in ME2. Purely paragon. Romanced Kaidan and stayed loyal. As her name implies, she's very calm and collected even on the battlefield. Serena is my tester Shepard
Adrienne "Remy" Shepard: Adept in both ME1 and 2. Paragade. Romanced Kaidan and stayed loyal. She has a good heart but always tries to maintain that "tough girl" image. She's the kind of person you love as a friend but hate as your enemy. Remy is my canon Shepard.
I have three more fSheps, Sienna, Emma, and Karana, but Serena and Remy are my main two.
MShep
Cruz Shepard: Adept in ME1, haven't imported to ME2. Paragade. Will probably romance Miranda, but I'm kinda hoping Kaidan will be an option in ME3 for mSheps.
Consequently, I just can't get around to finishing my playthrough with my mShep. Not to be mean, but I just can't stand the VA's voice. I think Nolan North would be the perfect voice for my mShep. Nathan Drake (who North voices in the Uncharted series) is who I picture when I think of Cruz Shepard.

The girls: Amelia, my canon Colonist War Hero vanguard; Madeleine, a Spacer War Hero adept; Chloe the Earthborn War Hero infiltrator; and Lucy the Earthborn Sole Survivor sentinel. Amelia and Madeleine are saintly paragons who are Kaidan faithful, Chloe's more of a paragade and "cheated" with Thane and Lucy's a renegon who was in an unconsummated relationship with Kaidan (she was supposed to go unromanced through ME1 but I couldn't help myself), but "cheated" with Garrus then tragically lost him during the suicide mission.
The boys: William the Spacer Sole Survivor vanguard and Alex the Colonist Sole Survivor infiltrator, both Jackmancers, and James the Earthborn War Hero engineer, Ashley-faithful. They're mostly paragon, though Alex tends more to paragade.
I'm probably going to run my canon through ME3 first because she's my favorite, I've brought her through ME2 about a million times so it's not going to bother me to start her over in ME3 if I mess something up. And I'll be using these because they're all characters I've played through ME1, and in the leak there's an awesomely hilarious appearance from a certain ME1 NPC you don't get with the comic or an unimported playthrough.

Yay I have a Shepard named after me
I like the way this Madeleine is too, lover of Kaidan/Paragon
For my Sheps Lola & Ramona I just wish there were some 50's style hair-do's like in Fallout 3. classy but tough.
So they could match Kaidan's "quiff"
Hopefully getting KotOR2 from the boyfriend for xmas, I need to see what this Atton is like...

I adore my Lillith and I think her name is beautiful, although I did name her after the demon because I was trying to go full renegade with her. Also, I didn't pick up on Lilith on Horizon until my 3rd playthrough. Yup, I'm attentive.mineralica wrote...
About Liliths - prompted with "Lilith, we've got problems" I've named so my Spirit Healer Hawke. Everyone is going to her when in trouble; and she's nice and patient (despite having the name of demon), just like her ME2 analogue.
My Lillith didn't quite work out the way I planned and the uber-renegade position got taken by River, my sentinel who got ninja-manced by Liara.

Oh this is great! I'm playing kotor for the first time right now (after a lengthy search, I got my hands on the xbox version for under $20). And here are my thoughts:
1) Raphael Sbarge is a great voice actor. Carth and Kaidan don't sound the same. I mean, I can tell it's him, but the delivery is way different for both characters. I really appreciate his work more. If it were even possible to appreciate more after the Horizon letter.
2) Kaidan is not a Carth clone. Carth is pretty feisty, picking on the other companions. I can't really see Kaidan picking on Ash for being too young, or losing her squad on Eden Prime. Carth uses humor to deflect emotional issues (more like Alistair) until he feels comfortable around you.
So is the "Kaidan is a Carth clone" thing just because they have the same VA? Because so far I don't see it. Carth isn't all that whiney either, but i'm only about 10 hours into the game, so who knows, maybe he'll get there.

Yes, the whole "Kaidan is a Carth clone" thing is purely because they have the same VA. Some people never really bothered to get to know Kaidan's character because they heard his voice and made a snap judgement based on their opinion of Carth. I don't see Carth as whiney myself but teenage boys seem to as both of mine did, lol.
And because the dudes are jealous that all their girlfriends love Carth and Kaidan.
Edit: I knew it! Edited for ToP. Let's keep up the K-Laine love.
